Red Velvet came back as the summer queens!

Red Velvet tells the world that the real summer queens have returned with their refreshing yet rhythmically addicting new song "Queendom". Showing more maturity, they send cheerful messages of support through the lyrics which left a great impression as well. 

August 16, 6pm KST, new mini-album Queendom was released for their comeback. Red Velvet's title track "Queendom" was released and once again demonstrated what real summertime is. It has a melody that is highly addicting even if you listen to it once and with the cheerful voices establishing harmony, this song Queendom is perfectly made for summertime. 

WENDY/Song Seungwan Is ISFP!!! | Get To Know More Red Velvet Based On Their MBTI

Throughout her solo debut promotions, fan call event particularly, Wendy shared that she's an ISFP. Yup, besties are ISFP. Seulgi mentioned before too that she's an ISFP. (Read: RED VELVET's Joy, Yeri and Seulgi's MBTI) These two are just meant to be, I mean, now we know why they think alike and get along really well with each other. 

Haven't talked in a while about MBTI (Myers-Briggs Personality Type Indicator) but if you'd like to know more about it in a more detailed way then you can head over to my other website called Quaint Path. But since Wendy is my bias and as an MBTI enthusiast, I will decode ISFP here for me to understand her way of perceiving and judging the world. I really do think that knowing one's MBTI is a window for me to get to know someone on a deeper level. Just them sharing this information feels like very intimate for me, even though to some people it's just some 4 letters and stuff. I do think it's really important. 

Red Velvet Won Digital Artist of the Year at the 10th Gaon Chart Music Awards

Red Velvet bagged yet another award for their hit song Psycho as they won Digital Artist of the Year for December 2019 at the 10th Gaon Chart Music Awards. 

Psycho won with 172 million digital points against the 157 million of  Square by Yerin Baek. 

Red Velvet gave an acceptance speech for the award they received through VTR.

Just recently, Red Velvet Won Best Digital Song (BONSANG) at the 35th Golden Disk Award. Psycho did it for Red Velvet too, it just proven how much power this song has.

SM Entertainment Artists Who Also Got Hooked With The Penthouse: War In Life Kdrama

During the last airing day of The Penthouse: War In Life season 1, which was on January 5, Joy of Red Velvet went to Bubble (a messaging feature of the mobile app LYSN) to update her fans. She revealed that she bleached her hair bridge and colored it with dark color and more. But what made me even love Joy is the fact that she's also watching one of my favorite dramas as of the moment. She mentioned on the app as well her anticipation on the finale episode of The Penthouse' season 1 and even wished for Shim Suryeon not to die.

Red Velvet Won Best Digital Song (BONSANG) at the 35th Golden Disk Award

Red Velvet won yet an award for Psycho, receiving a Bonsang award from the 35th Golden Disk Award. Despite not being able to attend the said awards show, all five members showed up in a VTR giving an acceptance speech.

As of writing, Red Velvet's song Psycho has recorded approximately 750 million digital points in Gaon.

Red Velvet Is Back As 5 Members On Stage After A Year | Wendy's Comeback

Yesterday, SMTOWN LIVE "Culture Humanity" was aired to different social media platforms like Youtube, Vlive, Twitter and more. This free concert's purpose was to comfort everyone from fighting against the pandemic, corona virus. A lot of their prominent artists performed such as Kangta, TVXQ, Super Junior, Girl's Generation Taeyeon, Shinee's Taemin, Exo's Kai and Baekhyun and a lot new artists, but the highlight of this event was definitely Red Velvet's comeback on stage as 5 members!

This concert was an emotional event for all of us Reveluvs, to be able to see our idols complete on stage, after 1 whole year. Irene was there after controversy and Wendy was back healthy, stronger and more charismatic than ever before. The completeness of this groups was everything we could ask for. They are back stronger and happier, cherishing every moments because it was their first time ever again to be back as 5 on stage. Although they weren't able to see the fans up close and personal, I'm sure they were as joyful as us fans to be part of SMTOWN Live and welcome the comeback of Wendy after a long hiatus. 

Red Velvet Won Two Trophies from the Asian Pop Music Awards 2020

Despite the long hiatus that Red Velvet took as a group the entire year of 2020, their hit song Psycho continue to receive numerous recognitions. If we are to recall, Psycho was released December of 2019 and has no promotions at all, yet it's still one of kpop songs today that stayed relevant after releases from different groups and soloists. Psycho is definitely a song of the year material!

Red Velvet's Psycho MV Surpassed 200 Million Views On Youtube

On November 17, Red Velvet's Psycho MV has surpassed 200 Million views! It's the group's fastest MV to reach this milestone. Psycho was the title track of their album The Reve Festival: Finale and it was released December last year. As of writing, Psycho becomes their 2nd MV to reach 200 Million views on youtube after Bad Boy. For comparison, Bad Boy reached 200 million views after 1 year and 2 months from the date of its release while Psycho reached that number in a span of only 10 months and 24 days.

Despite the lack of promotions due to Wendy's accident in SBS, Psycho still becomes one of Red Velvet's biggest hits, winning 9 times in music shows and a triple crown. 

Wendy Wrote Heartfelt Letters For Her Members On Their Last Episode of Bu:QUEST

On the last episode of LG U+'s IDOL Live app show, Bu:Quest, the four members of Red Velvet received heartfelt letters from Wendy who wasn't able to participate in the show due to her on-going recovery. The members were seen with bright expressions on their faces while reading Wendy's letter but we could all sense how much they missed doing promotions and shows together as five that it's not hard to see through their smiles. 

The letters were handwritten and each card represents the color and animal character of each members. Wendy's words were full of love and appreciation towards each of them that it left everyone touched, Seulgi was even moved to tears because of it.

Wendy's letter for Joy:

"Our soft-hearted charming Sooyoung-ie. Although you are soft-hearted, when you are on stage, and when you are in front of the camera, you are much more confident and cooler than anyone else. I'm your fan, as well as your friend and member, you know that, right? No matter what you do, I'll be cheering on you by your side. Let's always be healthy and happy."

Red Velvet's Joy Teams Up With Moonchi For A Cover Of George's 'Look At Me'

This morning we were surprised by Joy's LYSN message that she will drop a song cover today and that it was taken a month ago. She mentioned that this song cover was just for fun but it came out to be better than she thought all thanks to the company's staffs and Park Moonchi's hard work in it as well. Joy expressed that she wanted to show this to all Luvies before the weather gets cold, so make sure to support for it by streaming!

5 Proofs That Irene Of Red Velvet Is A Warm Hearted Person

Let's all look back to Irene's good deeds amidst all these negative happenings recently. There are a lot of good things to talk about Irene as a person and hopefully it will help people to refresh their minds and think twice in posting malicious comments about her. 

Her mistake has been acknowledged and Irene already apologized for it. Let's not make one mistake overshadow all of the good things she has done in the entertainment industry, for the people of South Korea and to her loved ones (friends, family, and fans).

So here are some proofs why Red Velvet's Irene is a warm hearted person:

I Trust Irene And Will Continue To Support Her

I really want to stay silent about this controversy that Irene's currently in but people using this opportunity to bring her down just doesn't sit right with me. People are scary, they declare that they are her fans for a long time but will throw her away in an instant with just one mistake. A mistake that any person could make, it's just that this became a big deal because Irene's work is being a celebrity, a popular one. People immediately judged her without even knowing her side. Shouldn't they consider and understand first her side? But hey, Irene didn't bother to state anything to defend herself anymore probably because she already knew the cruel fact that people only listen to what they want to hear and only believe what they want to believe in. She just took this issue maturely and straight to the point by apologizing to that stylist personally and even through public apology on her instagram, without stating what actually happened or why she behaved that way because in the end she knew that she hurt someone's feelings and that there's no excuse to that. Irene accepts it and will learn from it. We know nothing and yet people chose to embody a perfect righteous human being and continue to criticize her for what a stylist, that she only worked with recently, posted on social media. Gosh. This is insane, right?!

Start-Up OST by Red Velvet Entitled "Future" Is Finally Out!!

This is it reveluvs! A new song from our beloved 5 member group, Red Velvet. As of writing, the OST song for Start-Up called 'Future' is now available in youtube and spotify! 

I've been waiting for this for the whole day, I said I wanted to write something here in the blog before the OST release, but I just can't. My mind is only set for Red Velvet's newest song and I am so joyful that it's finally out. 

Whew! I've missed their voices together for a new song, and finally we're being fed with it after so long. Wendy's voice made me want to scream and ugly cry at the same time the moment she sang the first verse. Damn! I'm such a softie for Wan and as expected of her, she did an excellent job and I'm such a mess right now because I miss her so much. 

Irene and Yeri's voices really are improving so much, I'm so impressed! Their voices are so lovely! Can I just pinpoint also that Irene FINALLY got justifiable amount of lines? OMG I am so proud of her, she deserved it! Finally everyone could hear her beautiful voice. Seulgi on the other hand, is still having that crisp in her voice, the clarity. I so love it! And of course, the sweet voice of Joy is just melting my heart too much. Wendy opened the song and Joy ended it, oh my wenjoy heart it's finally beating again. 💙💚

In the end they all did an amazing job. The uniqueness of their tones standout individually but they all sound great together as well! Only Red Velvet pulls that for me! Ahh! They are so talented, each one of them! 

Red Velvet Will Sing For Bae Suzy's Drama Start-Up

Red Velvet and Bae Suzy's paths will cross again in a drama! It was reported that Red Velvet will sing an OST for Start-Up and it will be released on the same day as well.

The OST will come out this October 17, 6pm KST while the drama itself will air 9pm KST.

If you could still remember, Red Velvet once sang an OST for Suzy's drama before too. It's called 'Dont Push Me' by Red Velvet's Wendy and Seulgi for the drama 'Uncontrollably Fond' (2016). 

I know that it's all just a coincidence but I'd love to think that Suzy and Red Velvet are just meant to be. Lol Our actress Bae Suzy and Red Velvet as our OST singers, what a tandem right? Nation's First Love and Nation's Girl group! What a match!! 

Being A Reveluv Is Tough

It's already this time of the year! It's Christmas season and the only song I wanted to listen to is Wendy's 'Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas'. 

Actually, now that Red Velvet is in my life, I've always made it a habit to listen to them at least once a day. I think there isn't really a day that I did not listen to them, by group or by their individual songs. I just really love their songs. Good thing is that they have a very wide-ranged discography with different concepts used that I find myself not getting tired with. At least I could say that for now. It's December last year when I came across Red Velvet with their Psycho song so it'll be our 1st anniversary together this year. lol It'll become my first year in stanning them! Yay! 

I know that I'm still considered as new within the fandom but I think nobody would blame me if I state that being a Reveluv right now is very tough. I haven't experienced a full comeback yet from the group so it's kind of hard to stick around just waiting for a looong span of time. You know, the feeling of going crazy already just because there aren't enough new contents to satisfy your cravings? That's how I felt the entire time. It's true that I&S unit debuted this year but, is it wrong for me to wish for a full comeback? I mean 3 comebacks for the Reve Festival Trilogy last year to one sub-unit comeback and a song cover this year? In the end, this is all because of SBS and SM's fault. Ugh.

RED VELVET's Joy, Yeri and Seulgi's MBTI

MBTI is really becoming popular nowadays and even Korean celebrities take the test to discover their own personality types. But the only celebrity that I really am curious about is Red Velvet's members and thankfully a few of them confirmed or shared their MBTI in social media or other platform. Knowing Red Velvet, it's really hard to know them personally due to their protectiveness over their privacy. I think they are one of those public figures who have set a line between their private life and their working life as a celebrity and I think that's what makes them even more respectable. And they give this mysterious vibe like, 'hey, we may be a celebrity but you cannot know everything about us', which makes every fans curious about them and if you're a fan and you can understand things then you'll know your position in stanning Red Velvet. We just need to respect their privacy and let the members disclose something about themselves willingly. I just brought that up since getting to know their MBTI is something that I think is quite personal so I'm only thankful that they shared it to all of us.

There was one time wherein they were in an interview for Trolls World Tour, Joy got a character that has ENFP in it and she explained herself that she was actually an INFP but becomes an ENFP when she performs on stage. I kinda know that she's an INFP considering how much of a deep thinker Joy is. Despite her external playful aura, she's actually that someone who thought deep about life in general. I think it's really evident the way she talks in LYSN, some interviews and her actions as well. Joy is that someone who wanted to explore her creativity and has the urge to grow her artistry. She once talked about it on LYSN where she wanted to explore drama, singing, variety show, etc. She's very expressive as well when it comes to what she truly feels and we all know and witnessed that fearless Joy during interviews, Ment during their concerts or just the way she express her feelings towards people around her. She's the type that when you get close to her, she'll definitely keep you forever and I think Joy really cherish her members and fans a whole lot. Just by witnessing how much she almost broke down in front of us luvies when Wendy got injured, she had suffered a lot and the most since she was the one who's very expressive of her feelings towards it. 

Red Velvet's Milky Way LIVE Performance And Their First Photo as OT5

I just wanted to share this wonderful music video here on my blog just so I can access it so easily whenever I drop by. The first time I've seen the music video, I totally lost my mind and was in full smile watching them. I just got so super excited seeing them doing LIVE together as five after 8 months. I just love them way too much and I think I'm not the only one since if you're going to search the comment section of Milky Way, you can see a lot of people talking about how they have waited for this in a long time. Too bad though that we cannot really compare the views, likes and position in the charts of a song cover to a real comeback of Red Velvet. It was for Boa's 20th anniversary and it's for Wendy's return or OT5's return so I am not gonna complain. I think that it's still doing better than any of STATION projects particularly the songs or artists included in this 20th anniversary thing for Boa. Though Milky Way is the comeback of Wendy, I still am expecting more from SM. I wish they could give her more projects and exposure, a SOLO DEBUT even, just to compensate for the involuntary days she had to be MIA due to her injury caused by the irresponsible broadcasting station SBS. But even though we are expecting A LOT MORE from SM, we also expect that they would take care of Wendy's health too. 

Anyways, I really like this video. You could really see all of them so happy and it's contagious to us viewers. We, fans, may be waiting and struggling for far too long waiting for Wendy but we all know that it's even more difficult and the longing has more impact on the members. They've waited for this more than us. I just hope that everyone will cherish each members from now on and stop hating. 

As a group known to be very versatile and with each member being vocally capable, it's always a treasure for us music lovers to have songs from Red Velvet. This is music, a real one. Red Velvet is a gem in this current music scene. That's undeniable.

Wendy of Red Velvet Is Finally Back After 8 Months!

I was totally in an emotional state last night as I was waiting for the first teaser of Red Velvet's Milky Way cover. The song would be out by August 21, btw if you guys don't know yet. Up until now I still couldn't believe Wendy is back like after going through that awful times of waiting for her, longing for her. It was a hellish experience and I can only blame SBS for that. But now the wait is over and I could say it is all worth it, seeing Wendy so healthy now. Just look at her on this pic! She's a real princess omygod!!! Ahhhh!!!

Did you know that the photo above made all Wendyluvs go all crazy all night? Who wouldn't? I mean, that's a fucking first photo of her! She even trended worldwide on twitter and weibo!!! Have you seen how many likes and retweets she gained on twitter? It's absurd that she got plenty and I wish this huge attention to her would go on for a long long time! I hope everyone would already pay attention to her.

As per SM Entertainment, Wendy will now participate in all Red Velvet activities that would not overexert her. We understand this and will only be grateful to SM for making Wendy's health a priority above all. We didn't wait for 8 long months just to see her hurt herself.

Red Velvet Won Music Of The Year at Soribada Best K-Music Awards 2020 "PSYCHO"

I think I've spent way too much time watching the livestream of Soribada Music Awards earlier, watching all different artists' performances when its only Red Velvet-Irene and Seulgi I wanna watch. I really hate waiting without doing anything so I watched everything for Red Velvet. Still, I think it was all worth it because my beloved RV received the Bonsang and Daesang Music Of The Year Awards. I'm just so happy for them as a whole group with 5 members. Even though we got to see only Irene and Seulgi sub unit from the previous months and today's performance to represent Red Velvet, we all know that all 5 of them worked hard to get all these awards and they all deserve the honor. All of them. We all have to remember that without any of the members to complete the 5 member group Red Velvet, we won't be able to get all of these awards and be able to get this far. Each one of them is substantial to the group so it's only proper for us to respect each one of them, and not just the sub-unit that we're currently seeing. Please stop forgetting about the other three members.
