Go Kyung Pyo Protected His Heart and Dream In Frankly Speaking Episode 3

This episode tells us exactly what it means to be protecting our hearts by expressing what we really mean and by standing up for our own self including our dreams. Nobody would be able to protect us but ourselves. This is really such a great reminder to all of us especially in our modern society today where we compromise ourselves and our feelings to give way to other people because there's hierarchy that dictates us what to do. This happens most especially in our workplace. It's true that in order to survive this chain, we must use white lies and sugarcoat our words to come out pleasing to the ears of those we wanted to have a good impression with but we should do it moderately. In a way that, we wouldn't lose our true selves in the long run. That has become the problem with Song Ki Baek here. He was so used to living in lies and sugarcoat everything that he lost his true self to get himself to his desired dream/goal. Now that he got a disease of telling only the truth, it

Lee Ji Ah | Quick Guide To The Cast Of Kdrama 'The Penthouse: War In Life'

I've been really curious about Lee Ji Ah since I saw her from the k-drama, My Mister. Although her character is spiteful there due to her infidelity, she still managed to capture my attention by how lady-like and elegant she is with her acting. She's really prim and proper, graceful and also a great actress. My curiosity on who Lee Ji Ah is hit over the roof when I saw her act again in the hit drama, The Penthouse: War In Life. She really portrays all my first impression of her accurately there. And so I've decided to get a little peek on Lee Ji Ah's personal and professional life with research to satisfy my curiosity about her.

So here, let me share you what I have found out.

Personal Life and Career
  • Lee Ji Ah was born in August 6, 1978 under her birthname of Kim Sang Eun in South Korea. She legally adopted her stage name Lee Ji Ah when she came back from the US in 2005.
  • She lived in the US for 10 years since 6th grade till 2005. This answers why she's really fluent in the English language.
  • Not only she knows how to speak her mother language and English, she also can speak Japanese.
  • Her breakout debut project was in partnership with the hallyu star Bae Yong Joon in the drama, The Legend in 2007. The two had worked before in Lee Ji Ah's first ever TV commercial for LG Telecom.
  • Lee Ji Ah was under the same agency that was founded by her co-star Bae Yong Joon, Key East Entertainment before. Now, as of writing, she's under BH Entertainment.
  • Since The Legend, her popularity sky rocketed when she starred in multiple hit dramas such as Beethoven Virus (2008), Athena: Goddess of War (2010), Me Too Flower (2011), Thrice Married Woman (2013).
  • Despite her graceful image, did you know that she also took on challenging role as a soldier in a movie, Musudan (2016)?
  • Also, did you know that she's also involved with music? Not only she was featured in Vibe's music video of Come Back To Me Again in 2010 but she also released own songs. The songs were Love Virus (2008), So Much (2008), Cupcake and Alien (2009) and Vampire Romance (2011). We stan a talented and versatile aritst, huh?
  • Lee Ji Ah is known to be close friends with fellow actress Han Hyo Joo, Han Ji Min and Chu Ja Hyun.
  • She is now portraying the role of Shim Soo Ryeon in the hit drama, The Penthouse: War In Life

Dating History
  • In March 11, 2011, Lee Ji Ah was caught by the media having a date with her co-star in the drama Athena: Goddess of War, Jung Woo Sung in Paris. In March 20 of the same year, Jung Woo Sung confirmed their relationship.
  •  The elegant Lee Ji Ah and the hunk bachelor Jung Woo Sung was a power couple but it was quickly shaken by a major scandal before they broke up in May 2011, just after 3 months of dating.
  • The Korean Entertainment was shocked by the revelation that Lee Ji Ah was married to the K-rock icon Seo Taiji since 1997 and was in the middle of divorce settlement while she was dating Jung Woo Sung. This became a huge scandal that really rocked Lee Ji Ah's career that made her lose brands and projects. It took a toll not only in her career but also to her mental health as she revealed during her interview in SBS Healing Camp.
  • Lee Ji Ah and Seo Taiji got officially divorced in 2006.

Personality & Character
  • After watching a few of her interviews and show guesting, it seemed like Lee Ji Ah really is a soft spoken, prim and proper kind of woman. She's also pretty intelligent with the way she answers questions from interviews, including the one about her scandal.
  • Lee Ji Ah is really oozing with gracefulness and beauty despite this, she still has a playful heart as we all have seen in her guesting in the long running variety show, Running Man. We could also observe how she's decisive with what she wants to say or do.

Comments
  • After having a little research about her, I would say that I liked her even more. Knowing that she dated while she was still very young and married at the age of 19, I could tell that she's really feisty.
  • I hope she could find a fitting partner for her and re-marry, that is if she ever has plans to do so. Anyways, no matter what she decides, I'm still gonna look out for her projects/dramas.
  • Now that I'm watching her in The Penthouse: War In Life, which is really soaring high with viewership ratings, the character of Shim Soo Ryeon is really fitting to her. She's my favorite among all the characters in that drama and am really rooting for her to achieve the justice that she's seeking for the death of her daughter. I hope she won't get busted with her plans avenging now that she's in tandem with Lee Logan. The probability that she'll get discovered is now high now that they're working together, don't you think?
  • Maybe I'll watch more of her dramas while I wait for the latest episodes of The Penthouse: War In Life because now that 2nd and 3rd seasons were confirmed, it's going to be a long journey before everything ended in peace.
