Start-Up Kdrama Finale

Start-Up has ended already and I'm feeling really sad about it. It's the last among the 3 k-dramas I'm tuning in and writing reviews since October of this year. First Search, second Tale of the Nine Tailed and now Start-Up ended. How can I cope up now without those 3 on air? Of course, find another kdrama to watch!

Anyways, it took me a while to write a review over the last two episodes of Start-Up because I got to see some spoilers on Facebook about Do San and Dal Mi kissing while Ji Pyeong is left with only the money tree. Judging quickly from those spoilers, I already know the ending which is a bit disappointing on my part. I did say that I've accepted already that Dal Mi will end up with Do San in my previous post but I guess I was only fooling myself. I thought that this isn't the ending that I really wanted at all. My heart has been captured fully by Ji Pyeong throughout this drama and he has all the reasons why Dal Mi should end up with but we're stuck with the fact that Do San is the male lead so Ji Pyeong wouldn't stand a chance. Not that Do San is not worthy of Dal Mi, both Ji Pyeong and Do San are worthy to be honest. I'm only speaking now in terms of my own preference and it's Ji Pyeong that I wanted for Dal Mi.

Follow Your Dream, But What Is Your Dream? | Start-Up Episode 11 & 12

I took a break from blogging for a few days due to busy schedule, so how's everyone going?

Anyways, I came back to react to Start-Up's latest episodes. I honestly didn't like the turn of events in episode 11 that's why I waited for the 12th episode to do wonders for me and save me from retreating to watch the remaining episodes. Tbh, it affects me as well when they did not play Wendy's OST 'Two Words' yet in episode 11 and that made me really upset. I mean, we've waited so long for this OST to be played in the drama and we still didn't get glimpse of it in this episode. Thankfully they played it on episode 12 when Dal Mi was getting ready for her date with the birthday boy Do San. I was a bit relieved to hear Wendy's OST but I still thought that they could have at least played it in one of the most heartbreaking scenes. The impact that Wendy's OST could achieve for this drama has so much potential in conveying a heartbreaking scene and yet they didn't use that well so I'm very disappointed. However, I'd still say that episode 12 was a very good one with how the story progressed boosting more developments on the characters.

In episode 12, we got to see how much of a sacrifice is needed in order to obtain something big. Do San was realizing his dreams with the help of Dal Mi and now he's offered something huge for his career. In the case of Do San here, he was not ready for the consequences of reaching out to something big because all along he was nurtured in his own comfort zone. He's been curling into his own bubble that there weren't any improvements to his poor peers and and outlook of what he's capable of. Dal Mi, despite being left all alone, knew that Do San has to step up and continue to better himself by venturing out of his comfort zones and hone his talents even more.

Seo Dal Mi Loses Trust And Confidence In Herself | Start-Up Episode 10

We are all so hooked up with the romance between the 3 leads that we're forgetting that there's more into it than just that. Now that Dal Mi knew everything, of course we shouldn't expect her to choose right off there and then, she has the right to take her time and resolve her feelings.

Due to the lie, Dal Mi's confidence got sucked out of her and it's one of the worst feelings ever as a person. She no longer believes in the people around her and even in herself that she lost all the motivation to chase her dreams that she has from the beginning. But as I have mentioned before, what made this drama interesting is that it solves problems (aside from the main romance) with a ready solution built up in the drama. In the case of Dal Mi's, loss of motivation, the drama just need to make her sister Won In Jae step on the scenes again because Dal Mi's main reason, the root why she's doing start-up business, is all because she wanted to prove that choosing her father was never a wrong decision to her sister and mother. It's really effective and it's so well thought of. It really feels like everything and every characters here are well used and has their own purpose to make the drama much more interesting than it is now. I can't wait how Dal Mi, grandma, sister and mother would revive their relationship but I think it's starting to sail off now.

Dal Mi Caught The Person Behind The Letters In Start-Up Episode 9

This episode showcased us how a lie could weigh so much, when we allow it to prevail for a long time, to a point that everyone is dragged down with it. The liar or the one being lied to, which one receives much greater pain? All

Why did I stressed out all? It's because this episode 9 is giving me a dreadful feeling that the story is lifting up Do San's character by showing his pitiful life journey from having a low self esteem. I'd like to believe that the writer would not use this as key reason why people/viewers or Dal Mi should pick Do San over Ji Pyeong. It's just unfair if it is so.

Han Ji Pyeong & Nam Do San Continue Rivalry Over Dal Mi In Start-Up Episode 8

As Ji Pyeong continue to support Dal Mi in searching for companies to fund Samsan Tech's Noongil, his heart continues to soften and get swayed by her. I'm taking this as a sign that he's finally being honest with his self, accepting that he's falling for her. Ji Pyeong and Dal Mi starts to get closer in this episode to a point that she'll soon find out about his secret. She's about to meet her real pen pal from 15 years ago, like it's about time she knows the truth!

Do San on the other hand still suffers in a lie that he's portraying. Soon, the truth will come out and he'll be free from his troubles but it's still painful to see him so lonely and anxious like that. He may be lying about the letters but his love for Dal Mi is a genuine one.

Next episode we'll be able to find out Dal Mi's decision over what to do with him, will she still choose her or will she pick Ji Pyeong, her first love, as what he declares in episode 7?

Ji Pyeong Is Dal Mi's First Love But It's Do San That Makes Her Heart Flutter | Start-Up Episode 7

My fear about grandma having serious illness in this drama is happening, sooner or later she's going to get blind. I feel sad about this news, it hurts me a lot. Grandma just wanted happiness for her granddaughter, life is really unfair for her. Do San who knows about her condition was forced to stay silent, a favor from the elderly, but his mind and heart found a way to help her. Building an AI that specializes for the needs of the blind, I am so impressed about this, I'm really moved. He's making a solution for someone else' sake and that's what Samsan Tech differs from other AI companies. I'm completely astonished how the story is solving every problems that's surfacing in each episode, the flow of the story is really superb!

One thing's not solved right away though, Dal Mi's pick between Ji Pyeong and Do San. To be honest, I thought the battle is over when Dal Mi kissed Do San but I was so wrong. Dal Mi still left us in a dilemma when she responded to grandma's which version of Do San she'll choose, the one from her past of the one in the present. She answered that she'll pick the one who wrote her letters from 15 years ago because that's her first love but it's the Do San version right now that makes her heart flutters. Gosh, I can't wait if she would still respond the same when she finds out the truth.

Han Ji Pyeong, Nam Do San and Seo Dal Mi Giving Best Life Advice In Start-Up Episode 6

Seo Dal Mi is finally taking her first step as the CEO of Samsan Tech as she takes control of her people and it's all thanks to their mentor. Ji Pyeong's words always have been truthful and pierce straight to the heart, he would really knock some sense to anyone's being. I like his strong character like that, always straight to the point and it doesn't matter if the other's offended or not. He's like a reminder that not all people will sugarcoat their words for you to be complacent on your current state, he'd throw you honest words and it's up to you if you'll take it personally or take it as a constructive criticism and work on yourself. Here's where Do San's advice of filtering noise/words will be best used at. Just because someone gave their two cents of opinion or advice to you doesn't mean that you'll have to absorb everything like a sponge. You're not as worthless and brainless as that, right? You have to filter out everything and absorb only the ones that worked for you. Dal Mi's actions were the best representation of that! She took Ji Pyeong's harsh advice and started taking control of her people. But she did not confide to his advice of making the CEO to have the biggest stock shares rather she pushed through with giving it to Do San instead. Hell! That's so badass because it worked! Ji Pyeong got no words for her after that. Dang, I really love this drama's characters! They all give you important lessons applicable not only for start-up businesses but life in general. This is seriously a superb drama, the best so far of 2020 for me! Truly inspiring!

Nam Do San Or Han Ji Pyeong, Who's The Best Pick For Seo Dal Mi? Start-Up Episode 5

The difficulty in picking who's more fitting for Dal Mi is becoming bigger as Do San and Ji Pyeong continuously show different but likeable traits. There's just no time to settle my choice as these two men have their own charms that displays on their respective scenes. They are only alike with how good nature they are as a person but their approach in life and towards Dal Mi is just different. Lying is their other similarity though. lol

In this episode, we got to know more of Do San's kind nature, it's already evident from previous episodes but we got to understand more why he acts and decides on his choices. It makes sense why Do San showed up to meet Dal Mi and act along with Ji Pyeong's plans to save her all this time. He's just pure and kind. Aside from that, he's ambitious and I'm pretty sure that Dal Mi's existence and Ji Pyeong's words ignite that fire in him.

Good news for all of us, the finest female vocalist Wendy will be part of the OST line-up 2 for TVN's hit drama Start-Up. It was revealed earlier that Wendy would have a solo OST for Suzy and Nam Joo Hyuk's drama. Release date is yet to be confirmed.

Nam Joo Hyuk Got Caught By Bae Suzy & Kang Han Na in Start-Up Episode 4

I surely didn't expect Do San getting busted this early but somehow I'm relieved that it already happened. Maybe because as the episode 4 progresses showing how much Do San, Ji Pyeong and Dal Mi enjoy each other's company, I've already envisioned the hurtful consequences that it may cause in the end once the secret has been discovered, most especially to Dal Mi. So somehow, I'm grateful that it has been revealed. However, we're not sure up to what extent Do San disclosed. I'm having a feeling that not everything of it, so I'm still tensed about it. Gosh! I need episode 5 now!

Nam Joo Hyuk & Kim Sun Ho Reveal Their Feelings For Bae Suzy in 'Start-Up' Episode 3

The latest episode of Start-Up is full of character developments and impactful twists. We are still on episode 3 and yet we're given so much to be excited for! The story progresses in a way that makes the viewers equalize their attention and curiosity over the four main leads. You can't just choose one or two persons to root for because they all have interesting stories to tell.

In the first 2 episodes, we can't deny that we almost fall onto that second lead syndrome as we were all moved by the strong front and intellectual yet soft hearted character of Ji Pyeong. But now we're left in dilemma who to choose for Dal Mi as the drama introduces a likeable character of Nam Do San. Who wouldn't like him? He has huge potential in what he's doing with AI technology/ Nam San Tech, he doesn't give up on his dreams, and obviously has an attraction for Dal Mi. His naivety when it comes to girls make him bolder with his reactions. That simple affirmation that he likes Dal Mi in the ending part was so cute! He's so sweet! Nam Do San may be a geek and clueless to love, but if someone really shows appreciation to you and to what you believe in will surely make anyone's heart beat. The scene where he asked about the music box is so powerful that makes you think that it's the start of something real between them. We all know Dal Mi was referring to Do San when she said that the music box sounded wonderful. The flashbacks really gave me goosebumps, it's so on point!

Is Yeo Jin Goo Part Of Suzy & Nam Joo Hyuk's Drama, Start-Up?!

I can't believe my eyes too when I scan through the casts of Start-Up and saw Yeo Jin Goo's name. My initial reaction was to click his name and check whether it was really him and it was him indeed with a picture! I already lost it! Haha! I mean, that's Yeo Jin Goo omygod! Since I didn't notice him on the first two episodes, I already have an expectation that he'll appear on the next ones. But then, since I really like searching about things, I checked further about it and found out that he already appeared in the first two episodes!

He did appear with his voice only for an artificial intelligence named, Yeong Sil. Wow! After I've known this fact, I really listened to that part of the episode where he appeared and kyaaa it was really him!

Start-Up Episode 2: Seo Dal-Mi (Bae Suzy) Finally Meets Nam Do-San (Nam Joo Hyuk)

Have you guys seen episode 2?! Gosh! My heart just hurts for Nam Do-San and Seo Dal-Mi! They depicted the real hardships of passionate dreamers. I really am so into watching everyone start from this kind of path, be it real life or just a drama. Just proving that not everyone is lucky or fortunate in life. Life is unfair, the well off/ lucky ones will somehow get the upper hand while the not so well off ones would have to work 10 times harder. We just have to accept it, but of course it doesn't mean that if you're well off that you'll be able to get the success you have define for yourself, and it's the same way with the other side. It all really just comes down with how passionate, focused, equipped with talents/skills, and hardworking a person really is when it comes to how far one can go in chasing their dreams.

Start-Up Episode 1 Made Everyone Cry! (Bae Suzy & Nam Joo Hyuk Kdrama)

This is such a nice slice of life drama, really relatable in a lot of ways. Money could serve one person everything he/she wanted in life, reason why every human being does everything to obtain it even if costs them their own life. It’s a scary thing especially if you let it control you instead of you controlling it.

I believe that this k-drama would showcase us the possibilities of how to control our life choices and how we should have other motives in life as we try to achieve success and money. Be it wanting to achieve something that you have been dreaming of for a long time, making yourself or others proud, and a lot more. Success can be defined differently by each individual on this planet and I strongly believe that it’s all about the journey not the destination. It’s a famous saying and it’s cliché, but it’s the truth and reality that we should understand.

Red Velvet Will Sing For Bae Suzy's Drama Start-Up

Red Velvet and Bae Suzy's paths will cross again in a drama! It was reported that Red Velvet will sing an OST for Start-Up and it will be released on the same day as well.

The OST will come out this October 17, 6pm KST while the drama itself will air 9pm KST.

If you could still remember, Red Velvet once sang an OST for Suzy's drama before too. It's called 'Dont Push Me' by Red Velvet's Wendy and Seulgi for the drama 'Uncontrollably Fond' (2016).

I know that it's all just a coincidence but I'd love to think that Suzy and Red Velvet are just meant to be. Lol Our actress Bae Suzy and Red Velvet as our OST singers, what a tandem right? Nation's First Love and Nation's Girl group! What a match!!

Suzy Will Also Take Part In The Ost Of Her Drama 'Start-Up'

Reports said that Suzy will also sing for the OST of her drama 'Start-Up' that will premiere on TVN this October 17. She will act as the main female protagonist who dreamed of becoming the female Steve Jobs and Nam Joo Hyuk will portray the lead male protagonist who is the founder of Samsan Tech. Basically it'll center on these two dreamers who wanted to achieve success with their start up companies.

Isn't it something we needed for this period of time? Inspirations to make it on our own and be successful. I'm sure there are a lot of trials that will be unveiled along the way. Success isn't just a flashy word, determination, discipline and actions are keys to achieve it. I can't wait to watch this. I certainly am in need of inspiration as I'm taking a different path and starting on my own, I'm working on a dream that I wanted for a long time. I want some tips! lol This will definitely be on my list to watch this October 17.

I'm gonna see Suzy acting at the same time singing again after a long time! Yay! This is such a nice treat!

IU/Lee Ji Eun's Celebrity Friends In Korean Entertainment (Kpop/Kdrama)

We all know how talented and versatile IU is in her craft, she can sing and act skillfully that made her popular and respectable in the Korean entertainment industry. Being active in both drama and music, it's inevitable to be exposed to lots of different people. Throughout her career and the people she have worked with, here are the people that she continuously kept in her life.

1. Yoo In-Na

IU and Yoo In-Na met in a variety show called Heroes. The said variety show was aired from year 2010 to 2011 with a total of 40 episodes. From there they managed to create a wonderful relationship as best friends up to this date.

Yoo In-Na is popularly known not just as IU's bestfriend but as her star and muse when she dedicated her win of 'Album of The Year' in 2017 Melon Music Awards. Despite the 11 years of age gap, the two surprisingly understand each other and grew closer as time passed by.

The two of them became important part of each other's life, UAENAs and Yoo In-Na's fans know that. Yoo In-Na is supporting IU by attending to her concerts and spending her time together during special occasions like Valentines day, vacations to domestic places or foreign countries, or maybe even on a regular day as well. So far, the two have already visited America, Jeju island and Rome together.

These two were able to work together too in a series of commercial for Hyundai i30. They displayed how comfortable they really were to each other and everyone was left in awe because of that.

2. Kim Soo Hyun

Kim Soo Hyun and IU first worked together in a popular drama Dream High (2011). Since then their friendship blooms and is evident through their constant want to work with each other.

The two reunited in 'The Producers' drama (2015), wherein Kim Soo Hyun's character was IU's character's love interest.

In 2017, they supported each other's projects as Kim Soo Hyun participated in IU's music video for 'Ending Scene' as per her request.  IU on the other hand, did a cameo in Kim Soo Hyun's film 'Real' the same year. Although IU's cameo there was small that not everyone was able to notice that it was her.  Some discovered it was her only after seeing the credits of the movie.

In 2019, Kim Soo Hyun supported IU's hit drama called 'Hotel Del Luna'. He did a cameo as the hotel's newest owner in the last episode. It was also Kim Soo Hyun's appearance in a drama after he got discharged from serving the military.

Aren't they so supportive and faithful to each other? I will look forward to their projects together again.

Who Is Bae Suzy Dating?

Surely, Bae Suzy has one of the most beautiful faces in Korean Entertainment in general. Be it Kpop or Kdrama industry, Suzy is always part of the list when Beauty is talked about. If you've been following Suzy for a long time now, you probably already know that she debuted as an Idol first. She was part of the idol group called Miss A under JYP Entertainment.

Suzy managed to get her acting debut under the same management as well as Go Hyemi of Dream High. From then onwards she became more active in acting than being an idol. Since Suzy is busy being an actress by then, it'll be hard for the group to do comebacks as Suzy is the most popular member of Miss A. By December 27 of year 2017, the group disbanded and Suzy decided to part ways with JYP Entertainment March 31 of 2019 as she no longer renewed her contract.

Done with a brief history, here is the list of confirmed boyfriends of Bae Suzy:

1. Lee Min Ho
