Kim Seon Ho And Kang Tae Ju's Movie Debut 'Childe', Is It Worth Watching?

Finally! I've watched Kim Seon Ho's movie debut called "Childe" and as expected I was blown away. The first time I've watched the trailer of this, I already knew that this is a badass movie that I will definitely enjoy. Dang, Kim Seon Ho in his psychotic era definitely was a sight to see! He's so effin' hot and starring in an action film suited him really well! I really like it when I'm watching a badass character whether it's a male or a female one. They make me really excited and thrilled. I can't help but fall under their spell. This badass personality always makes me fall onto my knees and watching Kim Seon Ho definitely awakens that fangirl side of me screaming with heart eyes while he torture his enemies. lol

Of course, these bad people, I wouldn't wish to encounter in my real life. But I'd be lying if I say I am not curious to what's inside their heads. I am just curious how they could do all those bad things without fearing that they'd lose their lives nor have conscience. Crazy ones, I know.

Anyways,  this movie is about Marco (Kang Tae Ju) who looks for his South Korean father in hopes for a financial assistance for his mother's surgery. Marco grew up poor and has a sick mother, and he does boxing matches in order to support the two of them on a daily basis. One day the head of a school, who keeps and takes care of Kopinos (half-korean half-filipino) whom Marco asked help from in finding his father, told him that he found his father. In fact, his father found him and asked him to relay the message to his son to fly over to South Korea to meet him through the help of his lawyer.

Running out of time and money for his mother's surgery, Marco flew to South Korea having the idea that his father really wanted to meet and help him out. During his flight to South Korea, there he met our Childe/nobleman (Kim Seon Ho) and whispered to him that he's going to only die there. Since then, Marco became restless and tries to escape from the people trying to hunt him down especially Childe. Little did he know.. Childe was there to.... oookaaay I'll stop here to prevent further spoilers. kkkk

Just make sure that you guys will stay tune till the very end of the movie in order not to miss out the twists served here. Some of it was really funny.

Speaking of funny, my goodness, Childe is definitely THE personality. I'm scared of him for his psychotic smile while torturing or shooting his opponents but at the same time I couldn't fully get scared of him either because he's a natural comedian. Hahaha!

Overall, I really love this action-packed movie. It was really good and entertaining and there's not a scene that I got bored at all! I really had fun watching this. The men are a sight to see too! I got to witness Kim Seon Ho in a badass character and also discovered a few of new faces. Kang Tae Ju, my eyes is set on you from now on. I found out that he's a rookie actor and Childe was actually his debut on the large screen too like Kim Seon Ho. Gosh, this is both their movie debut and yet they are so good already. I have no words for Kim Seon Ho though because I know from the very start that he's a great actor since Start-Up. There was Kim Kang Woo too! I found out that he's a veteran looking at his acting projects. He's so awesome and I won't hesitate to watch another work of him in the future.

Moon Ga Young Chose Only One Person Among His Leading Men In A Drama

Moon Ga Young recently did an 'Ask Me Anything' video in collaboration with Elle Magazine and one of the questions that got me excited with was about who she will choose among his leading men in the dramas she has worked with. Namely, those were Jung Hoon (Kim Dong Wook) from Find Me in Your Memory vs. Wooshik (Kim Seon Ho) from Welcome to Waikiki vs. Suho (Cha Eung Woo) vs. Seojung (Hwang In Yeop) from True Beauty.

She immediately got tensed with the question and quickly placed the paper back to the box. But since Moon Ga Young is a wise person and wanted to maintain good relationships, she explained in the video that her choice would be based on the person who's the easiest to get upset among his leading men. Therefore, she picked Wooshik (Kim Seon Ho) for that matter.

Moon Ga Young and Kim Seon Ho to Reunite In A New Project?

It was reported today that Moon Ga Young is in talks for the female lead role in an upcoming romantic fantasy drama called 'Link' (not yet official title). In the recent news too, Kim Seon Ho was already known to be in talks for the said drama as the main male lead. If ever this news becomes official, with both parties confirming in the future, then it would be a reunion for them.

Kim Seon Ho and Moon Ga Young first worked as a couple on the 2019 TV show called Welcome to Waikiki 2. They were two cute couples from that show and we cannot deny that they have great chemistry as well. Back then they weren't as big as they are today, especially in the case of Kim Seon Ho, therefore it would be wonderful to see them act together again and for us to see how much they have grown as an artist.

Start-Up Kdrama Finale

Start-Up has ended already and I'm feeling really sad about it. It's the last among the 3 k-dramas I'm tuning in and writing reviews since October of this year. First Search, second Tale of the Nine Tailed and now Start-Up ended. How can I cope up now without those 3 on air? Of course, find another kdrama to watch!

Anyways, it took me a while to write a review over the last two episodes of Start-Up because I got to see some spoilers on Facebook about Do San and Dal Mi kissing while Ji Pyeong is left with only the money tree. Judging quickly from those spoilers, I already know the ending which is a bit disappointing on my part. I did say that I've accepted already that Dal Mi will end up with Do San in my previous post but I guess I was only fooling myself. I thought that this isn't the ending that I really wanted at all. My heart has been captured fully by Ji Pyeong throughout this drama and he has all the reasons why Dal Mi should end up with but we're stuck with the fact that Do San is the male lead so Ji Pyeong wouldn't stand a chance. Not that Do San is not worthy of Dal Mi, both Ji Pyeong and Do San are worthy to be honest. I'm only speaking now in terms of my own preference and it's Ji Pyeong that I wanted for Dal Mi.

Seo Dal Mi & Nam Do San Reunited After 3 Years In Start-Up Episode 13 & 14

We are just 2 episodes away from this show's ending! I feel like I'm gonna go through separation anxiety for this drama just like what I've felt with 'Search' but I think I'll suffer more because of this. I've been inspired multiple times because of this drama at the same time cried and giggle for each characters. I just love them all!

With these two latest episodes, we've seen mature and grown sides of the characters and the only thing left unsolved is that matter of the hearts between the 3, Ji Pyeong, Dal Mi and Do San. However, as we've witnessed, it all comes down with a clear vision of the writer that they are going in a direction where Dal Mi and Do San will still be the end game. I have to admit, I was hopeful that Ji Pyeong would have a huge chance to Dal Mi but it seems like within that 3 years, Dal Mi's heart has been occupied with Do San and has no space for Ji Pyeong at all. It's kind of frustrating how Ji Pyeong wasted that 3 years though, he's really a good boy that's considerate of the feelings that he loves but that's just like passing by the chances. I also kind of tiny bit hate Dal Mi for not getting straight with Ji Pyeong with her true feelings the entire time, or has she forgotten that Ji Pyeong actually confessed to him long before? Ahh.. it's really frustrating. I feel like I don't want to watch the works of this writer anymore. lol who am I kidding?

Follow Your Dream, But What Is Your Dream? | Start-Up Episode 11 & 12

I took a break from blogging for a few days due to busy schedule, so how's everyone going?

Anyways, I came back to react to Start-Up's latest episodes. I honestly didn't like the turn of events in episode 11 that's why I waited for the 12th episode to do wonders for me and save me from retreating to watch the remaining episodes. Tbh, it affects me as well when they did not play Wendy's OST 'Two Words' yet in episode 11 and that made me really upset. I mean, we've waited so long for this OST to be played in the drama and we still didn't get glimpse of it in this episode. Thankfully they played it on episode 12 when Dal Mi was getting ready for her date with the birthday boy Do San. I was a bit relieved to hear Wendy's OST but I still thought that they could have at least played it in one of the most heartbreaking scenes. The impact that Wendy's OST could achieve for this drama has so much potential in conveying a heartbreaking scene and yet they didn't use that well so I'm very disappointed. However, I'd still say that episode 12 was a very good one with how the story progressed boosting more developments on the characters.

In episode 12, we got to see how much of a sacrifice is needed in order to obtain something big. Do San was realizing his dreams with the help of Dal Mi and now he's offered something huge for his career. In the case of Do San here, he was not ready for the consequences of reaching out to something big because all along he was nurtured in his own comfort zone. He's been curling into his own bubble that there weren't any improvements to his poor peers and and outlook of what he's capable of. Dal Mi, despite being left all alone, knew that Do San has to step up and continue to better himself by venturing out of his comfort zones and hone his talents even more.

Seo Dal Mi Loses Trust And Confidence In Herself | Start-Up Episode 10

We are all so hooked up with the romance between the 3 leads that we're forgetting that there's more into it than just that. Now that Dal Mi knew everything, of course we shouldn't expect her to choose right off there and then, she has the right to take her time and resolve her feelings.

Due to the lie, Dal Mi's confidence got sucked out of her and it's one of the worst feelings ever as a person. She no longer believes in the people around her and even in herself that she lost all the motivation to chase her dreams that she has from the beginning. But as I have mentioned before, what made this drama interesting is that it solves problems (aside from the main romance) with a ready solution built up in the drama. In the case of Dal Mi's, loss of motivation, the drama just need to make her sister Won In Jae step on the scenes again because Dal Mi's main reason, the root why she's doing start-up business, is all because she wanted to prove that choosing her father was never a wrong decision to her sister and mother. It's really effective and it's so well thought of. It really feels like everything and every characters here are well used and has their own purpose to make the drama much more interesting than it is now. I can't wait how Dal Mi, grandma, sister and mother would revive their relationship but I think it's starting to sail off now.

Dal Mi Caught The Person Behind The Letters In Start-Up Episode 9

This episode showcased us how a lie could weigh so much, when we allow it to prevail for a long time, to a point that everyone is dragged down with it. The liar or the one being lied to, which one receives much greater pain? All

Why did I stressed out all? It's because this episode 9 is giving me a dreadful feeling that the story is lifting up Do San's character by showing his pitiful life journey from having a low self esteem. I'd like to believe that the writer would not use this as key reason why people/viewers or Dal Mi should pick Do San over Ji Pyeong. It's just unfair if it is so.

Han Ji Pyeong & Nam Do San Continue Rivalry Over Dal Mi In Start-Up Episode 8

As Ji Pyeong continue to support Dal Mi in searching for companies to fund Samsan Tech's Noongil, his heart continues to soften and get swayed by her. I'm taking this as a sign that he's finally being honest with his self, accepting that he's falling for her. Ji Pyeong and Dal Mi starts to get closer in this episode to a point that she'll soon find out about his secret. She's about to meet her real pen pal from 15 years ago, like it's about time she knows the truth!

Do San on the other hand still suffers in a lie that he's portraying. Soon, the truth will come out and he'll be free from his troubles but it's still painful to see him so lonely and anxious like that. He may be lying about the letters but his love for Dal Mi is a genuine one.

Next episode we'll be able to find out Dal Mi's decision over what to do with him, will she still choose her or will she pick Ji Pyeong, her first love, as what he declares in episode 7?

Get To Know Kim Seon Ho The Actor That Portrays Han Ji Pyeong In The Hit Drama, Start-Up!

Kim Seon Ho is not a newbie when it comes to acting, but his name became more popular to Kdrama fans when he took the role of Han Ji Pyeong in an on-going Tvn drama series, Start-Up. Before being part of this hit drama, Kim Seon Ho was already seen in You Drive Me Crazy (2018), 100 Days My Prince (2018) and Welcome to Waikiki (2019). He debuted acting on television at the age of 31 for the drama Good Manager (2017). But even way before his small screen debut, Kim Seon Ho has already been active in musical plays. In fact, he has already starred in numerous plays namely New Boeing Boeing (2009), Sherlock (2012), True West (2015), Closer (2016), Memory In Dream (2019) and many more!

Han Ji Pyeong, Nam Do San and Seo Dal Mi Giving Best Life Advice In Start-Up Episode 6

Seo Dal Mi is finally taking her first step as the CEO of Samsan Tech as she takes control of her people and it's all thanks to their mentor. Ji Pyeong's words always have been truthful and pierce straight to the heart, he would really knock some sense to anyone's being. I like his strong character like that, always straight to the point and it doesn't matter if the other's offended or not. He's like a reminder that not all people will sugarcoat their words for you to be complacent on your current state, he'd throw you honest words and it's up to you if you'll take it personally or take it as a constructive criticism and work on yourself. Here's where Do San's advice of filtering noise/words will be best used at. Just because someone gave their two cents of opinion or advice to you doesn't mean that you'll have to absorb everything like a sponge. You're not as worthless and brainless as that, right? You have to filter out everything and absorb only the ones that worked for you. Dal Mi's actions were the best representation of that! She took Ji Pyeong's harsh advice and started taking control of her people. But she did not confide to his advice of making the CEO to have the biggest stock shares rather she pushed through with giving it to Do San instead. Hell! That's so badass because it worked! Ji Pyeong got no words for her after that. Dang, I really love this drama's characters! They all give you important lessons applicable not only for start-up businesses but life in general. This is seriously a superb drama, the best so far of 2020 for me! Truly inspiring!

Nam Do San Or Han Ji Pyeong, Who's The Best Pick For Seo Dal Mi? Start-Up Episode 5

The difficulty in picking who's more fitting for Dal Mi is becoming bigger as Do San and Ji Pyeong continuously show different but likeable traits. There's just no time to settle my choice as these two men have their own charms that displays on their respective scenes. They are only alike with how good nature they are as a person but their approach in life and towards Dal Mi is just different. Lying is their other similarity though. lol

In this episode, we got to know more of Do San's kind nature, it's already evident from previous episodes but we got to understand more why he acts and decides on his choices. It makes sense why Do San showed up to meet Dal Mi and act along with Ji Pyeong's plans to save her all this time. He's just pure and kind. Aside from that, he's ambitious and I'm pretty sure that Dal Mi's existence and Ji Pyeong's words ignite that fire in him.
