The 57th Baeksang Arts Awards was held in KINTEX (Korea International Exhibition Center) in Ilsanseo-gu, Goyang, Gyeonggi Province yesterday, May 13, and as a K-drama fan this ceremony is very important to us. Just because we wanted to see if our favorites are being acknowledged right with their acting capabilities. lol So here I will list down the awardees of this prestige event.

Oh wow! All of them are so deserving of the awards but can I just point out how happy I am for Kim So Yeon and Shin Ha Kyun taking home the Best Actress and Best Actor respectively? I would have flipped the table if Kim So Yeon didn't won, like who on earth won't be able to see how remarkable she was acting out the character of Cheon Seo Jin in The Penthouse? I think everyone is aware of that, be it co-workers, critics and co-actors/actresses.
On the other hand, I've seen glimpse of Beyond Evil and I could already tell Shin Ha Kyun is very much deserving of the award. I know Yeo Jin Goo very well with his 'genius' acting but when he was paired with Shin Ha Kyun in Beyond Evil, they were like student and teacher when it comes to acting. Yeo Jin Goo is really good but he still has a long way to be in par with Shin Ha Kyun's acting capabilities. Just my two cents out there. Oh! I also love how he beat all the other nominees, it's so satisfying. lol

Baeksang surely is like the Oscars of South Korea. I also love how everyone respected this prestigious event that all nominees attended. Unlike in Kpop awards ceremony, the attendees were already the winners. lol It's so predictable, Kpop awards ceremony nowadays are just a big joke. Hopefully, Baeksang won't be influenced by this Kpop mess in the future.

I am still in shock how international fans are still sticking with Seo Ye Ji and retain her popularity after what had happened but I guess that's how they chose to live. Anyways, Kim Seon Ho on the other hand, congratulations on your found poularity all thanks to his pitiful 2nd lead character in Start Up. lol This is pretty much like a consolation for not getting picked by Suzy in Start Up, fans were all patting his back. Hahaha cute!
