I've been so affected by Wendy's comeback in the music scene that's why I'm so not active lately when it comes to other Korean updates and stuff but after a week, I guess I'm a bit okay now and have adjusted to it. lol I'm not saying Wendy's not making me feel okay but I'm just so emotional that my heart couldn't take it whenever she's having a schedule lately. It feels like my mind and my world is only for Wendy. lol I wish that's the only case for my whole life but then again I'm just a mere person who needs to live her own life too. Ah.. I just love Wendy so much, she's my role model. My hero, Wendy. 

IU/Lee Ji Eun Posted About Wendy On Instagram

Just before Wendy's precious birthday, on their show JTBC's Mysterious Record Shop, Wendy's recommended song was chosen by the guests that made her able to sing. She recommended and sang IU's Someday which song was released year 2011.

After she had sing the song, Someday and Wendy's name trended on Melon the same night. Not only that! Someday re-entered Bugs Realtime charts too and considering that the song was released 10 years ago meant that people were mesmerized by Wendy's singing that enabled them to revisit IU's song. If that ain't described the power of both Wendy and IU then I don't know what it is. 

IU's Celebrity Is A Certified All-Kill and A Record Breaking Song

Yesterday, Lee Ji Eun or most popularly known as IU released a new song called Celebrity. The release of this new single was announced by her agency, EDAM Entertainment, via press release last January 11 and yesterday was the promised date!

As expected of IU, her new song Celebrity tops different charts and even became the fastest song to reach no. 1 on Melon 24Hits with a record of 3 hours breaking SSAK3's Summer Sea Again record of 18 hours.

Celebrity song has a bright and cheerful pop sound which is timely with the trend nowadays. Not only it topped Melon 24Hits in 3 hours but also other real time charts such as FLO, BUGS and Genie.

Lee Ji Eun/ IU's 'My Mister' Showcased the Sorrows of an Adult Life | Recommended Kdrama

I honestly didn't want to watch this drama even though my favorite idol actress starred here, and even when my male officemate who's an IU fanboy repeatedly pushes me to watch this. Why? I just know how much of a heavy and heart wrenching drama this is by seeing the official posters of it, which I wasn't ready for. But for whatever reason yesterday, I pull an all-nighter just to finish this drama. Guess what? I wasn't wrong with my first impression of it, I was totally blown away by its life lessons and tear jerking moments. I've never cried so much like that in a while, even in reality. If you're having a tough time and want an outlet where you can release all your emotions at once then this is the recommended drama for you. 

The life lessons embarked in this story were overflowing, every words each characters said were all piercing straight to the heart. And speaking of characters, you'll experience a roller coaster ride of loving and hating the characters, Ji Ahn (IU), Dong Hoon (Lee Sun Kyun), Kwang-Il (Jang Ki Yeong), Kang Yoon Hee (Lee Ji Ah) Dong Hoon's family, friends and colleagues. Every actors that portray their role in this drama were all really impressive with their acting. But the characters that I got deeply invested with were the first four names I've mentioned. Here's why:

IU/Lee Ji Eun's Celebrity Friends In Korean Entertainment (Kpop/Kdrama)

We all know how talented and versatile IU is in her craft, she can sing and act skillfully that made her popular and respectable in the Korean entertainment industry. Being active in both drama and music, it's inevitable to be exposed to lots of different people. Throughout her career and the people she have worked with, here are the people that she continuously kept in her life.

1. Yoo In-Na

IU and Yoo In-Na met in a variety show called Heroes. The said variety show was aired from year 2010 to 2011 with a total of 40 episodes. From there they managed to create a wonderful relationship as best friends up to this date. 

Yoo In-Na is popularly known not just as IU's bestfriend but as her star and muse when she dedicated her win of 'Album of The Year' in 2017 Melon Music Awards. Despite the 11 years of age gap, the two surprisingly understand each other and grew closer as time passed by. 

The two of them became important part of each other's life, UAENAs and Yoo In-Na's fans know that. Yoo In-Na is supporting IU by attending to her concerts and spending her time together during special occasions like Valentines day, vacations to domestic places or foreign countries, or maybe even on a regular day as well. So far, the two have already visited America, Jeju island and Rome together.

These two were able to work together too in a series of commercial for Hyundai i30. They displayed how comfortable they really were to each other and everyone was left in awe because of that.

2. Kim Soo Hyun

Kim Soo Hyun and IU first worked together in a popular drama Dream High (2011). Since then their friendship blooms and is evident through their constant want to work with each other.

The two reunited in 'The Producers' drama (2015), wherein Kim Soo Hyun's character was IU's character's love interest.  

In 2017, they supported each other's projects as Kim Soo Hyun participated in IU's music video for 'Ending Scene' as per her request.  IU on the other hand, did a cameo in Kim Soo Hyun's film 'Real' the same year. Although IU's cameo there was small that not everyone was able to notice that it was her.  Some discovered it was her only after seeing the credits of the movie. 

In 2019, Kim Soo Hyun supported IU's hit drama called 'Hotel Del Luna'. He did a cameo as the hotel's newest owner in the last episode. It was also Kim Soo Hyun's appearance in a drama after he got discharged from serving the military.

Aren't they so supportive and faithful to each other? I will look forward to their projects together again. 

Why IU Holds A Special Place In My Heart

Dramatic title it is for this blog entry. Haha. But hey I was listening to IU this late night and every song just hits me. Every song strikes straight to my heart coz I always remember how IU was just a sidekick of Bae Suzy before in K-drama hit Dream High and that she's pretty much like a shadow of Suzy and every idol group. I could still remember she always cover popular songs back then but now, she has her own beautiful songs that everybody loves listening to. It's just so amazing how the cliche 'there is always a right time for everything' statement materialize in IU. I love it! Now IU is one of the biggest female soloists that ever come across Kpop. Kpop industry is just so blessed to have a very talented singer songwriter, Lee Jieun aka IU. 

IU & Yeo JIn Goo Reunited in 2020! House on Wheels Episode 7

Have you guys watched the recent 2 episodes of House On Wheels which Yeo Jin Goo takes part as a regular? Apparently, Jin Goo invited our IU to be their guest and they shoot their recent episodes with her. 

When I saw the picture Jin Goo posted on his instagram wherein IU also commented, I was really surprised because it has been a while since those two had an interaction in social media. 

Also, I didn't really expected much to see them together again after their Hotel Del Luna drama, but I guess after seeing this, my Manchan shipper heart just went alive and I am very much satisfied with this. I also am grateful that Jin Goo, who IU described to be a person who doesn't ask for favors, asked her to guest on the show! And because of that, we're able to see how great their chemistry is not just in drama but in a household setting as well. Let me thoroughly discuss that in detail below:

House on Wheels, Episode 7

We all know that IU is Jin Goo's guest in the house, reason that he's really attentive to all of IU's actions. Everyone especially Jin Goo, did his best in order to make IU feel comfortable and feel at home. But there really something genuine about those two's actions with each other that you can't help but wonder if there really is something in between them or maybe they are just that really close. Whatever it is, I just feel at ease watching them because they look like domestic couple. Jin Goo is always on the look-out for IU and IU also tries to be useful for him during his struggles. It just make my heart melt! Did I mention how incredibly sweet they are with each other? Like all the time? Ah! They looked like the 'relationship goal' that everyone seeks for! I honestly dreamed of this setting on a small house where you could go wherever you'd like with the one you love, I've really fantasized about that. Which is why, I'm just so happy to see that my favorite on-screen couple made me able to see what that fantasy would look like in reality. I wish I could do that in the future with my partner. Yayks!

The show started with Jin Goo stating facts about IU like, she doesn't like coffee and likes sweet stuff. Stating her birth name when his companion asked for it, and also stated that he calls her by that name but he used to call her Jang Man Wol (IU's character) when they were working together in Hotel Del Luna. Happy New Year!! Hello 2020!!!

Wow the year 2019 surely was a long year right? I mean, with all the hardships that we've gone through the year, it felt like it became even longer than usual. But I'm proud of myself that I was able to become aware of the things that happened. It's really a huge achievement for me. Although everything seemed to be neutral and just fine, I was able to do a lot of things that somehow made my year 2019. Let me tell you a few selected things I've did last year for myself.

1. I was able to start my Japanese language studies by the 1st month of the year 2019. And I'm quite impressed by myself for sticking to it until the end of the year. Although I said that I will blog about my progress, I was not able to do so since I got a very busy schedule everyday. But to make you all updated I am now finished with the N5  grammar and kanji and am now studying N4 level. Hehe It's like I need a whole year to study every level. So if there are 5 levels then I think it will take me 5 years to fully become proficient in speaking and writing the language. But that conclusion is because I am working at the same time studying, so I think that's okay for now.

2. This one is probably my greatest achievement last year. Being able to somehow come back into writing and was able to apply for google adsense. I think that's a bonus. I somehow able to retrieve my enthusiasm when it comes to writing on this blog. It's a big improvement and I'm now able to express myself again. Although I talk a lot about fandom, I usually throw some of my thoughts about life once in a while. I love it that way.

3. I was able to attend one of my favorite artist's concert which is IU's Love, Poem in Manila. I think this is one of the best that happened in my entire fandom timeline coz it's my first ever concert and it was IU's first time to perform in Manila as well. I think we have mutual feelings over the event. She was totally overwhelmed and so do all Maaenas especially me. It was really an unforgettable night. If I knew that it felt that magical during concerts, then I should have considered attending to concerts earlier. But of course I do not regret that it was IU's concert that I first attended. It was an amazing experience.

4. Discovery of different artists to add in my list to fangirl and blog about. I know a lot of you are aware of the artists that I follow from the start, the main ones that shook my world were ofc SCANDAL, Bae Suzy, AKB48 and Jessica & Krystal. Those were the old ones, but in the year of 2019 I was able to add more to follow mainly IU, Yeo Jin Goo,  Ozaki Yutaka and lastly Red Velvet. They all complete my 2019 fandom, I'm so happy about it and so hyped about them. Finally it's the time wherein I find enthusiasm again in writing stuff about fandom all because of them. I'm so crazy about them and their corresponding works. I think that it's better to follow several artists too so there are variety of things to write about as well as I won't get too attached with just one. I like it this way.

Lee Ji Eun/ IU is INFP!!!

Some of you guys know that I have a blog site discussing the MBTI Personality type too, right? I know that there are only a few people/ readers of mine out there that's aware of that since I haven't made it public like publishing it here or in my fb pages. Anyways just so you guys know, I was once addicted to MBTI personality type. Addicted to the extent that I even made my officemates take the test for me to decode somehow their personality to them. Lol I can still remember talking so much about it with my officemates for more than a month or so. Hahaha it was funny but very enjoyable. I really like those in depth conversations about people. (In a good way, ofc)

I brought this topic today since I woke up to IU's Instagram Q&A response that she is an INFP. Oh God, we're the same!!!

Just so you guys know, other famous artists that are also INFP are John Mayer, William Shakespeare, Antoine de Saint-Exupery and more. Mostly they are writers, poets and singers. It definitely suits IU, right?

IU's Love Poem Concert in Manila! (Part 2)

When I heard the intro sound of Twenty Three playing, I already squealed in happiness. lol To be honest, that's one of my favorite songs of IU. The next song she performed was BBIBBI and daaaang it, that was so fantastic! I thought it was the best performance of the evening at that very moment. (Disclaimer: but wait for the other songs she performed. lol) She was so happy, we could all see her smiling every time Ma-aenas were singing along and doing the BBIBBI fanchants so loud. We could all tell she's really impressed. Every songs she performed was really great, and I mean every songs! Hahaha! She even left a remark that she  named Singapore as the country of BBIBBI but she thinks that the Philippines is the mother of BBIBBI. (IU thinks that Philippines is the one who made it) lol We all laughed and proudly cheered on that. Maaenas were very glad at every positive remarks that IU spoke the entire night, because we all know that those words were her genuine feelings surfacing.

In the next one, for me it's the performance that first highlighted her powerful voice that night. Despite the loud music playing, her voice still beautifully surmounts it. The only thing she cannot beat though was the loud cheer from Ma-aenas. She told that herself during encore. The song was, Hold My Hand.

Then aside from her Tagalog words and giggles due to happiness, I think this next performance she did was the cutest of the night. It's Last Night Story! Performing the cute dances from its MV and witnessing it LIVE? GAAAAH! We're all dead! Every time she dances cutely and shows a very adorable facial expressions, everyone in the crowd was screaming for her and if you'll see in the vid she actually did push herself to dance up to the end. We think that she got really carried away by the fans cheering. Since she was enjoying every bits of it she left a positive remark that she thought it was the Philippines' National Anthem.

IU's Love Poem Concert in Manila! (Part 1)

So last night was like the best thing ever that happened to my fandom world. I was totally mesmerized by the feeling of being present in a concert of one of my favorite artist. And to be honest with you all, I still am in awe of what took place that night. Last night's concert was actually my first ever, so I am totally in daze and I can't seem to calm myself even after the event. It was really like the best night ever in my life. Call me exaggerated but that's what I really felt and I'll cherish that forever. The first ever concert that I attended was really IU's Love Poem in Manila, and I will not exchange that event for any other concert to be my first. Because aside from the obvious fact that IU was there singing and entertaining us all, it was also because of the fans that made that night so special for me. PH Uaena or Maaena are so amazing, and I am so proud to be part of that crowd. Even IU was shocked by how amazing the crowd was. I almost lost my voice screaming for each songs she sang, for her cute remarks and Tagalog words. That night was really wonderful and I love it so much that I wanted to cry due to happiness. IU just made my love for her even bigger. I am so inspired to do the things that I REALLY wanted to do in my life. I was really moved by her and IU being so appreciative all the time, being shocked by how popular she was up till this time is just so humbling. She's an amazing artist and a wonderful person who always wanted to make her fans happy and cheerful. And to be able to make her happy that entire night was very fulfilling as well. We can all feel how moved and happy she was. She even left a remark that she wants Maaena to come with her concert in Indonesia, which garnered even more love from the crowd.

I really do not want to forget those precious moments from last night's concert so I've decided to do a detailed blog entry about that. So this might be divided in 2 parts or so. I will try my best with this to showcase you all that magical night because IU is worth all the time and effort.

Too Many Concerts/Fanmeetings

There are so many concerts being announced lately by different organizers. The catch here is that, all of my favorite artists as of the moment decided to come to our country for a concert or for a fan meeting. And knowing that they are all my FAVORITES, it makes me very guilty if I think of not buying tickets to their events. Right now, I have bought 2 tickets for different concerts.

One for IU's Love Poem Concert which will be held tomorrow at Araneta Coliseum. IU is my favorite of all my favorites in this current period of time and that is because of Hotel Del Luna and her latest mini album, Love Poem. The time when IU announced that she will come to Manila for a concert, I knew that very moment that I will buy a ticket and go see her. I even decided right away that I will ditch our scheduled office Christmas party for this IU event coz l know my priorities. lol 

The second ticket I bought is for my ALL TIME FAVORITE JAPANESE GIRL ROCK BAND, SCANDAL. Their concert will be held in June 2020 at New Frontier Theater. I bought the VVIP, just because I want to be as near as I can to them. Just because, they are my ALL TIME FAVORITE JAPANESE GIRL ROCK BAND since the beginning of this blog site. lol How can I not go to this event? Ugh. I still love them so.

Keismagic Featuring Lee Ji Eun (IU)

Finally! I'm back with doing feature entry about certain person inside my fandom world! It has been a while! But this artist isn't really new to my fandom, in fact I've known her since the early years of her acting career but she was kinda overpowered by Suzy before so I was not able to appreciate her as much. (Dream High days) But now is different! She has gained huge popularity all around the world not just as good looking, not just as a singer but as an actress as well. She's the real total package! I mean, all these traits and talents she has are above average! She's like the epitome of being a total entertainer/performer.

Anyway, I think it's all about timing. And this is the right time to appreciate her, this is the right time wherein I have so much to tell about her. It's not really a great feeling writing about something or someone that is out of your current interest, right? It's really draining, so the time back then was not right for me to write about her. But since I have rediscovered IU through the recent drama Hotel Del Luna, I've also rediscovered a new deeper appreciation towards her. Hotel Del Luna (IU & Yeo Jin Goo)

This entire week I'm so hooked up with this Kdrama Hotel Del Luna and I don't think it would dissipate anytime soon. I've started watching the drama last Friday evening till Sunday morning last week and yet due to incredible attachment to the drama I've repeated it right away that Sunday afternoon. Well there was a saying that Kdramas are lovelier the second time around. lol

And as if I was the creator and producer of the drama, I'm also recommending it continuously to my officemates for them to watch. Not only that! I've been skipping my japanese studies for this madness! Ugh I can't believe this, but it's happening!
