WENDY Releases NEW Masterpiece With Her Song Cover of 'Girls' By Jung Joon Il

Today, April 9th of year 2022, Wendy releases a new OST for the new reality show called Seoul Check-In which shows the adventures/travels of a top star Lee Hyori around Seoul. 

When it was announced yesterday that WENDY will release a song cover of Jung Joon Il's Girls, I searched the song immediately and listened to it all day long. LOL I instantly liked it a lot. I was already imagining Wendy's voice singing it and I was just so super excited yesterday while working because of it! I find the song really motivating from the vibe it's releasing as well as the girl empowering lyrics it contained. 

Red Velvet's WENDY Tested Positive For COVID-19

Red Velvet's Wendy got tested positive for COVID-19 yesterday! Oh gosh! I really hate COVID, when will this pandemic end really? To be honest, I got COVID previously this year too.. I think it was around January this year. The feeling is really awful and kind of sad especially the quarantine period. I was at a dormitory with a few people sharing it with me, so it's really difficult to avoid COVID in my situation because no matter how much I try to be careful, I just cannot control my roommates for that. Also, the quarantine facility that our company provided was really not enough to cater all those who got COVID at that time. Since all employees just came back from Christmas vacation, there was a surge of COVID cases after but our company was not able to foresee that or maybe they just don't care at all. So when I got COVID and everyone else, our room which we all sleep in became a quarantine facility too. Meaning, there's really no isolation that happened. Well there is isolation in terms of food... gosh since we're in the same room in our dorm, other rooms doesn't have COVID so we of course were prohibited to go outside. We cannot access food at all. No fresh air since our room is situated inside a warehouse. imagine  that! SIgh. It's really one the worst days of my life. Imagine, being sick with something that everybody is scared of and being stuck with this difficult situation like mine during quarantine.... ugh... it's just awful! I was just scared to lose my job in this pandemic so I got really no choice but to live with it and just hope for the best in that worst situation.

It's been a while since I wrote something about Wendy and I think it's about time that I return to talk something about her. It feels really empty not talking about her, I mean, she's so good at what she's doing. Being a DJ, actress and most of all as a singer. Wendyluv's singer, my singer. Oh gosh, I love her. 

So just yesterday, around 6pm KST, the collaboration song of Wendy and The Black Skirts got out! As usual I am so thrilled and excited whenever there's something new from Wendy so when I finally listened to it, I'm totally mesmerized by it. Gosh, is there anyone as good as her? She can do any genre, and have you ever heard her previous release with Son Tae Jin called 'Be Deep'? She can do anything, like... anything! It's proven that she can do also musicals, 'coz she's born to be a PRINCESS! Yay! Haha...

Red Velvet's Wendy Revealed Thoughts About Her Accident After Almost 2 Years

August 1, Red Velvet members gathered together to commemorate their 7th debut anniversary and streamed through V LIVE.

While looking back to the activities done in the last 7 years, the topic about Psycho being released in 2019 was discussed. Following its release, Wendy got into an accident during her rehearsal for SBS Gayo Daejun. Due to the dangerous set, Wendy accidentally fell from the stage. She got severely injured in the accident receiving fractures on her right pelvis and wrist, and spent several months hospitalized because of it.

I Got My Like Water Albums!!!

I finally got my Like Water albums and I was like the happiest Wendy fan ever that day. I pre-ordered my albums on March 24 (based on my email to local shop/distributor) and after more than 3 months I finally got it! The long wait is definitely over for my Like Water albums. The albums arrived June 7 (Monday) and that was a rainy day! I could still remember that while I was unboxing the albums, the rain was really heavy that time. And I also remembered how Wendy told that it was also raining when she recorded 'When This Rain Stops', I know it was all just a coincidence but I feel like it was all connected. My fate and Wendy's are connected, we're meant to be! lol Yes, crazy fan over here.

WENDY/Song Seungwan Is ISFP!!! | Get To Know More Red Velvet Based On Their MBTI

Throughout her solo debut promotions, fan call event particularly, Wendy shared that she's an ISFP. Yup, besties are ISFP. Seulgi mentioned before too that she's an ISFP. But since Wendy is my bias and as an MBTI enthusiast, I will decode ISFP here for me to understand her way of perceiving and judging the world. I really do think that knowing one's MBTI is a window for me to get to know someone on a deeper level. I've been so affected by Wendy's comeback in the music scene that's why I'm so not active lately when it comes to other Korean updates and stuff but after a week, I guess I'm a bit okay now and have adjusted to it. lol I'm not saying Wendy's not making me feel okay but I'm just so emotional that my heart couldn't take it whenever she's having a schedule lately. I just have to compile everything in here because I am so proud of her and I know that there will be time, in the near future, wherein she will outdo her own personal records so this will become my reference to go back to every time. Also, since Like Water is Wendy's solo debut album, I want to archive everything and not miss out because she's that essential to my mentality that I have to know if she's been doing well and with her current set of records achieved, I'm feeling great that everything is going smoothly and incredibly well. No, I didn't forget about Wendy releasing her debut album yesterday (April 5, 2021), in fact, I've been waiting ever since SM announced about her solo debut. I really woke up so early yesterday morning to get ready for work as well to ready myself emotionally with this huge WENDY day ahead of me. I've never been so excited in my life recently than anticipating Wendy's solo album. I've pre-ordered early, I spread the word about her, I listened to her music even before her solo. Like, I know most of you already know that I'm a HUGE Wendy fan ever since I've become a Reveluv. She's my total bias and this solo debut and just entirely her comeback to music scene, releasing amazing music, is making me feel so emotional really. I just love Wendy so much and now, with her newest music, I think I've admired her even way higher than before. I see her like my hero now. I don't mean to sound exaggerated with my description of how she means to me but that's just how I feel! I just love Wendy so much.

WENDY Of Red Velvet Closes Mysterious Record Shop With A Cover Of Oh Hyuk's Song Called 'Girl'

The last episode of Mysterious Record Shop aired March 26 and it was Wendy who got to sing on that finale. Mysterious Record Shop only has 10 episodes which was hosted by talented singers/artists such as Yoon Jong Shin, Jang Yoon Jeong, Super Junior's Kyuhyun and Red Velvet's Wendy. For the entire series, Wendy got to sing 4 times, Kyuhyun 3 times, Jang Yoon Jeon twice and Yoon Jong Shin only once. The guests got to pick which song recommendation from the hosts they would prefer to listen to while on the show. Wendy being the guests' favorite most of the time on the show just meant how beautiful her music taste were which suited 4 times to different guests' music tastes!

WENDY Will Finally Debut As A Solo Artist This April!

This news came out in the afternoon of March 10 and a day already passed now and it still feels surreal! Are we alright there fellow Wendyluvs? I know I'm not the only one who still can't believe that WOLO is soon to launch this April! We've come a long way, we've waited for so long and what happened year 2019 almost broke us all that madethe waiting even more unbearable, but now I can finally say that 'those were the days'. Because now we're really having it! Wendy has healed and came back to us with good news, a reward for all of us who waited for her.

Wendy Is Well Loved + Got To Sing In 3 Consecutive Episodes Of Mysterious Record Shop

This is already Wendy's 3rd time that the guests of Mysterious Record Shop picked her song recommendation. Our Wendy surely has a great taste in music and is well loved. Jang Yoon Jeong  happily brought up a fact, in episode 7, that all of their guests with daughters that came on the show love Wendy. It's pretty much understandable considering how beautiful of a person Wendy really is. 

WENDY Covers Younha's 'Pray' And Trended Online

Once again, Wendy proved how strong she is with her vocals from her recent song cover performance on JTBC's Mysterious Record Shop's 6th episode. She did a splendid job in sending across the message of the song Pray to everyone listening that's having a hard time. We are all glad and thankful that all the guests on the show chose our Wendy's song recommendation, we are now healed. 

The viewers were enthralled again with Wendy's performance that made the song trend no. 1 and Younha's name trend (the original singer of Pray) no. 6 on Melon Realtime Search. 

Wendy Of Red Velvet Revealed She Sought For Counseling To Cope Up From A Difficult Time

JTBC's Mysterious Record Shop guested psychiatrists for episode 6 that aired last night, February 26.

The hosts revealed about their experiences in seeking help from professionals like their guests, including Wendy. She stated,

When promoting, I work non stop so it makes me feel like I shouldn't express that I'm having a hard time. As I keep on hiding those feelings, I forget about myself. I started thinking, 'Am I tired?', 'Can I feel tired?' So I ended up receiving counseling. 

IU/Lee Ji Eun Posted About Wendy On Instagram

Just before Wendy's precious birthday, on their show JTBC's Mysterious Record Shop, Wendy's recommended song was chosen by the guests that made her able to sing. She recommended and sang IU's Someday which song was released year 2011.

After she had sing the song, Someday and Wendy's name trended on Melon the same night. Not only that! Someday re-entered Bugs Realtime charts too and considering that the song was released 10 years ago meant that people were mesmerized by Wendy's singing that enabled them to revisit IU's song. If that ain't described the power of both Wendy and IU then I don't know what it is.

Red Velvet Won Digital Artist of the Year at the 10th Gaon Chart Music Awards

Red Velvet bagged yet another award for their hit song Psycho as they won Digital Artist of the Year for December 2019 at the 10th Gaon Chart Music Awards. 

Psycho won with 172 million digital points against the 157 million of  Square by Yerin Baek. 

Red Velvet gave an acceptance speech for the award they received through VTR.

Just recently, Red Velvet Won Best Digital Song (BONSANG) at the 35th Golden Disk Award. Psycho did it for Red Velvet too, it just proven how much power this song has.

Preview photos of Red Velvet's Wendy MC-ing for her new music show, Mysterious Record Shop, were revealed today. She was seen in different stylish outfits alongside other MCs Kyuhyun, Yoon Jongshin and Jang Yoon Jun.

As said in my previous post, Wendy of Red Velvet To Comeback as MC for a New Music Show Mysterious Record Shop, this new show will premiere this January 22nd at 9pm KST in JTBC.
