Heartbeat Kdrama Ending, Good or Bad?! | Finale Quick Reaction

I just finished watching the ending of Heartbeat Kdrama and guess what? I feel like I've wasted all my time watching it. lol The beginning was so good up until the middle part of the whole series but it went downhill after the 2nd half episodes got released. I probably had a big expectation for it because I was totally mesmerized and had fun with it on the first half, but lesson learned, I shouldn't expect at all or else I'll end up disappointed like this again. Last time I got disappointed with the ending was Doctor Cha, really. Hmmm... you can see my reaction about it here: Uhm Jung Hwa Rejected Min Woo Hyuk In Doctor Cha Episode 16

But going back to Heartbeat ending.... Hmmmm.. I thought I was watching a romcom fantasy drama but it ended up something heavy drama in the end. It had been a drag, tbh. Woo Hyeol dying in the end after all the fun??!! Geez... And the way he sacrificed himself to help out Do Sik too... lol I found that absurd. But oh well, I guess the writer just wanted to show that it's about time that Woo Hyeol experience death and have someone wait for him for a long time too, just like what he had been doing for his first love. Mmmkkkaaay... And probably wanted to stress out that Woo Hyeol is more human than those of real human beings on this planet.... alrighty.. Anyways, Woo Hyeol appeared at Oasis at the end so maybe it's still considered a happy ending.

So In Hae and Hae Sun are just one person in the end. Woo Hyeol found out about it when he tasted In Hae's blood while she's in love. I actually found this very disappointing too. haha! I don't know, it would have been better if it stayed like we don't know about this fact anymore. I'm already good at the idea that, finally, after thousands of years, Woo Hyeol found someone to love again. But then again, I think the writer only wanted to fulfill Hae Sun and Woo Hyeol's promise from the beginning wherein they will find each other and fall in love again. It's just that Hae Sun's face was used as the btch's (Hae Won's) face in the present moment so I can 'unsee' that she's a bad person already.

Overall, the series was just all okay. It really had a promising start which elated me so much but the hype died down eventually. Should I recommend this? Hmmm... probably? But I'll warn them first about the bad ending.

Taecyeon Accepted His Unfortunate Fate In Order To Save Won Ji An In Heartbeat Episodes 13 & 14 | Quick Recap

In Hae finally got reunited with her father, all thanks to Woo Hyeol and his minions. However, first meeting after a very long time does not automatically meant that it was a happy reunion. After feeling abandoned for a long time, In Hae has built a strong resentment towards his father especially when she didn't know what exactly happened in detail. This is why she tried to push his father away as much as she could. But thankfully, she happened to eavesdrop the conversation between his father and Woo Hyeol at the garden that she managed to fully understand why her father went missing for years. Since then In Hae and her father started to rekindle their family relationship and talked out everything. One problem solved for In Hae, yay, but there's so much more left.
Unfortunately, we have a lot of villains in this drama so this ain't a happy ending yet for In Hae. Man Hwi, being a wicked vampire, who's greedy for both blood and money, will do everything in his power to get what he wants. He managed to imprison a lot of people down to his dungeon and became his fresh blood supply, one of them was In Hae's father. He's been doing a great job hiding all these people but he made a mistake by imprisoning Woo Hyeol there. He thought that since he's already weak for being a half vampire half human, it was okay to confine him there but he was so wrong! Thank goodness there are Woo Hyeol's gang to help him out! Seriously though, can I just comment, I'm so pissed off with Man Hwi's facial expressions while he was teasing/annoying Woo Hyeol in his cage. Like, UGH wtf! I want to punch his face! Serves him right that all his plans got ruined and his prisoners all free, including In Hae's father. But we cannot rejoice yet since he's still working with Do Sik in capturing him for his blood.
Speaking of Do Sik. I still like him a bit for trying to help out In Hae with the investment money that she needed. At the end of the day, he's still a good person. It's just that, he wanted to survive his illness or whatever curse his ancestors handed down to him. This survival instinct of him is the one driving him to do the unthinkable, but deep inside he's still a good guy. Hmmm... I wonder if there will be alternatives for him to survive? Does he really need Woo Hyeol's blood? What if he could get treated by In Hae's love blood too? That'll be better, right? In that way, In Hae would be able to express her gratitude towards him for being by her side during her down times. And if that happens, she won't feel so guilty about him anymore. But that's just if the case with Woo Hyeol would be resolved though. I mean, as per the thousand years cat, Woo Hyeol needed to suck In Hae's blood dry so... no blood for Do Sik? lol

My most hated villain in this drama goes to... Hae Won. Geez... this btch really wanted to do everything in her power to stay at the top of her game. After finding out that Woo Hyeol and In Hae are in love with each other, she started to act like she's really Hae Sun (Woo Hyeol's first love) to win over Woo Hyeol's heart but after her efforts went down the drain, she ended up doing everything she can to just ruin Woo Hyeol and In Hae's lives. It's like saying, if she cannot have Woo Hyeol then might as well just ruin him and his girl. Like, wtf?! This woman is obsessed AF!

And lastly, Woo Hyeol distancing himself from In Hae. Aw... he wanted to get away from her so that he could die alone. He already accepted his unfortunate fate in order to save the girl he loves. He's sacrificing his dream as well as his life for the girl. Aw... Ain't that chivalrous? Heroic? Dying for the one you love? lol I just hope everything will go well in the end and that ending will be next week already! Wow! Time flies so fast and it's so scaaaaaary!

Won Ji An Found Love In Taecyeon | Heartbeat Episode 11 & 12

In Hae finally has someone by her side after being alone for so long. I am so happy for her, like, finally girl you'll get lai- adfhjsakdfhajkf excuse my words. She will finally have a companion to get through this life together. Beautiful, isn't it? After all, a world with the one you love makes everything better. Like it's 100% real, folks! So let's all be in love! kkkk

What makes the story complicated though is the news brought by the thousand years aged cat. Telling Woo Hyeol that there can only be one survivor between him and In Hae. I've seen this before really, I already predicted that it's gonna happen. I won't really be surprised if he takes the path of the selfless and actually sacrifice himself for In Hae despite desiring to be human for centuries. Like, hello? Typical romantic vampire guy.

Anyways, Woo Hyeol and In Hae became even closer after sharing a kiss and spending time with each other as a couple. Woo Hyeol had been nothing but honest with In Hae about needing her blood full of love in order to become a full pledged human being. In Hae was even happy to let Woo Hyeol drink her blood for thinking that he'll only take a sip but then the cat said that Woo Hyeol needed to suck her dry. lol The question is if, will Woo Hyeol be honest about it to her? I bet In Hae won't allow Woo Hyeol to sacrifice himself for her. Typical foolish in love woman.

On the other hand, let's talk about the main villain of all vampire race. Seriously, Ri Man Hwi. So in the end, In Hae's father was held hostage by him as his food supply! OMG In Hae wasn't abandoned by his father after all. And look who found out about it!? It's Woo Hyeol's good for nothing vampire friends. So they weren't just there to make us laugh, huh? They have purpose too. lol

As for Hae Won and Do Sik. Seriously guys, it's time to move on. These two started off as very kind characters willing to help others but then suddenly they transformed into someone we do not know anymore. It's really crazy how too much love and desire for someone or something else could turn someone into the worst version of themselves. That's the dark side of love, the side where the love wasn't reciprocated.

I knew that Hae Won would start to act like a btch after episode 10 though. But I didn't expected her to be this worst. Like, seriously? You're gonna claim to be Woo Hyeol's first love just because you have the same face? You're nowhere near Hae Sun's good traits nor personality which Woo Hyeol fell in love with in the first place. Accept it girl, you're not Hae Sun.

Won Ji An & Taecyeon Slowly Catching Feelings For Each Other In Heartbeat Episodes 9 & 10

Woo Hyeol is slowly weakening as he continue to live being a half human and half vampire, soon he might disappear for good. With this worry in his mind, he felt frustrated about In Hae's lack of interaction with Do Sik. In Hae made it clear that she has no time for love nor she has interest on it. She was very sure that she won't feel nor experience love just like an old tree which is no longer possible to bloom flowers. But little did she know, love already begun for her.

Woo Hyeol, also unknown that he's growing attachment for In Hae, made it possible for the old tree to bloom flowers. He used lights and wrapped the tree with them in order for the impossible to thought to happen. Aww.. Our Woo Hyeol is definitely one of the romantics. With this event, I am sure that Woo Hyeol will become that person that would make things impossible to In Hae be possible and that's her falling in love. Definitely for Woo Hyeol.

In Hae is clueless when it comes feelings. She grew up alone almost her whole life. She had no one to rely to but herself and having feelings of depending or getting attached to someone is a experience. What more if it's love? As she continue having lingering thoughts about Woo Hyeol, she's also starting to get more caring for him. She's always on the lookout for his secret not to get revealed, however, Do Sik now knows about it and all In Hae could ever do was to not give any confirmation about it as it will endanger Woo Hyeol's existences. Do Sik is one of the desperate people that we should lookout because he's in need of a half human half vampire blood in order to survive his illness, Woo Hyeol is definitely in danger.

Speaking of danger, I think Hae Won is another threat. As of now, she's nothing but helpful to our main leads but now that Woo Hyeol is starting to give his attention to In Hae and not to her, I think she'll soon transform into a total bitch. lol I'm just sure that she's gonna prevent our main couple to get together. Ugh, just imagining makes me irritated of her.

But let's focus on the bright side. My goodness, both Woo Hyeol and In Hae low-key confessed to each other! I mean not literally the 3 letter word but them saying that they're happy in the mansion because they are in it. Now, step back bitch Hae Won, you're out of the picture. Especially now that Woo Hyeol danced with In Hae at the party, just meant that In Hae still is more important to him! Yay!

Taecyeon Successfully Warmed Up To Won Jin An's Heart In Heartbeat Episode 5

For someone who had lived their life fighting alone, I could fully understand In Hae's emotions. Just looking at her, I already know that she's a woman toughened through time. She had no choice but to keep on moving, running like a hamster on wheels. Life would literally stop for her if she stayed still and that's something she cannot do. But that's the problem as well, even she herself said it. That despite spending time working hard, it seems like nothing in her life is progressing. And that everything went down the drain. That's one of the downside of just 'working hard'. There has something to change.

Dating is a luxury for In Hae as what she told Woo Hyeol who asked why In Hae hadn't experienced her heart beating in love. She may looked like possessing a hardened heart for surviving alone in this world but she actually has the most fragile one. Any small act of kindness and compassion thrown at her, In Hae would definitely swayed and melted. Just look at how she was taken aback by Woo Hyeol's words and action which she received after revealing her life struggles? Woo Hyeol told her that she's admirable and that he's proud of her with a gentle pat on her head. In Hae's heart instantly got swooned and that's how this chain of kindness continue on to another. She was moved by it and felt good that's why she wanted someone else to experience it. And that's what she did as she said those touching words to her student/patient before she left the school. Seriously, if Woo Hyeol continue on taking care of In Hae, she would definitely fall in love with him.

But there is a problem. It seemed like In Hae has some 'secret crush' on Do Sik and vice versa. Woo Hyeol might actually have a hard time taking the lead in In Hae's heart but I'm pretty sure he'll win in the end. kkkk

Heartbeat Episodes 3 & 4 Quick Recap

This drama is actually a breath of fresh air after watching Lies Hidden in my Garden. It's a fun drama but every events installed in it ain't gonna bore you at all. Vampire Woo Hyeol finding his ways in a modernized world, ain't that alone very entertaining?

It seemed like the four main characters here Woo Hyeol, In Hae, Do Sik (In Hae's friend) and the new face Hae Won (Do Sik's friend) ain't normal at all. Woo Hyeol is a vampire, In Hae has a mysterious ability, Do Sik has some mysterious history and Hae Won having the face of Woo Hyeol's first love's face. This is so interesting because as per the thousand years old cat, Woo Hyeol might become a human if he drinks In Hae's blood while she's in love. What complicates this is Woo Hyeol's gonna meet the woman who has the same face as his first love, so he might think that she's still the one he loves but probably would be so confused because he will start to fall in love with In Hae too. And it'll become hard for him to drink her blood. I think that's gonna be the plot for this one. Haha! What do you think?

Taecyeon Saves Won Ji An From Danger In Heartbeat Episode 2

Goosebumps! Goosebumps everywhere! I'm so in love with this Kdrama. There are a lot of on-going romcom dramas right now but after seeing the 1st 2 episodes of this drama Heartbeat, I think I can confidently say that this one is my favorite! There are just no boring moments, I swear! The whole episode is packed with well written scripts, all jokes intended were hilarious and the connections between characters were superb! To be honest, watching a romcom drama wherein there's no dull moments are quite hard for me to find. I just really have this high standard when it comes to romcoms but thankfully this Heartbeat was created! I'm so happy!

Episode 2, it turned out that Joon In Hae (Won Ji An) is not your ordinary woman. Based on the 1000 year old cat, no normal human being could be able to open a vampire's coffin and so he concluded that In Hae must be protected by Sun Woo Hyeol (Taecyeon) at all cost because she may be holding the key for him to be successfully turn into a human.

The bite to Woo Hyeol's neck by In Hae became a connection between the two as Woo Hyeol was able to sense In Hae being in danger because of the bite mark. In Hae saw her ex-landlord/ scammer and ran after him to get her money back. However, when they got into an alley, the scammer was about to attack In Hae but thankfully Woo Hyeol entered the scene and saved the night! As expected of my beautiful vampire. Gosh he's so effin' cool!

While Woo Hyeol battles the scammer, In Hae witnessed the super powers of Woo Hyeol and finally believed that he's really a vampire. Yay! I'm so excited for the next episode!

Taecyeon Is A HOT Vampire In Heartbeat Episode 1

I think I found yet another good on-going Kdrama! Gosh! There's so many Kdramas airing right now! Good luck to all of us, I hope we're still going to get some sleep. Anyways, the one that I'm talking about is Heartbeat starring Taecyeon and Won Ji An. It really has a good and interesting start! I'm not joking!

So in this story, Sun Woo Hyeol is an immortal, a vampire to be specific. After losing his beloved Yoon Hae Sun, he swore that they will love each other the next time they meet. And in order to do that, Sun Woo Hyeol needed to become a human for his heart to beat and feel what it's like to be fully in love.

Fast forward, Woo Hyeol met a 1000 years old cat and taught him how he'll become a human. There, he found out that he needs to sleep in a certain type of coffin for 100 years. The twist in here is that this certain coffin meant death for vampires like him. However, the cat explained that in order for him to live, he first needed to die. And that's what Woo Hyeol did. Unfortunately, Woo Hyeol was awaken on the 900th year and 99th days which made him become a half-human and half-vampire. Can you imagine his agony? LOL His long-awaited event of becoming a full pledge human didn't work out just because he didn't reach the 100th year goal. Only a day discrepancy! Poor Woo Hyeol!

Seriously, this drama is so funny and cute at the same time. Taecyeon's face is a scenery to look at! Being a vampire in a well tailored suit fits Taecyeon so much because of his body fit and beautiful facial features. I love him during Vincenzo because of his fierceness and now to be able to see him in a fantasy romcom type of drama, it'll be my pleasure to wait for new episodes each week! Some characters from Vincenzo are here too and they bring so much comedy into the show.

Vincenzo Achieves All Time High Nationwide Viewership Ratings With Finale Episode

With the finale episode, one of the likeable characters in Vincenzo, which was Jang Han Seo portrayed by Kwak Dong Yeon, died. Yes, it is indeed regrettable that he wasn't able to continue living despite choosing a different path to walk on but if we're to think about his origin, he's still part of Babel. Jang Han Seo had been a puppet all his life by his brother, yes he may had no choice but putting a blind eye on the cruel things he's surrounded by in order to survive, so he's all same selfish and cruel as his brother Jang Han Seok. But since he has chosen to change his way in the end, his death wasn't as brutal as the others in Babel which I think is already a blessing for him. Think of it, he 'somewhat' died for a cause which is saving someone and then the others were like tortured to death which Jang Han Seok, Choi Myung Hee and Han Seung Hyuk all deserved. So I'm already satisfied with the ending of Jang Han Seo.

4 Things That Ok Taecyeon And Jung Yong Hwa Have In Common

These two acting idols are currently active in swooning the viewers with their respective dramas. Ok Taecyeon is impressing the viewers with his 'insane' acting portraying Jang Jun Woo/Jang Han Seok in Vincenzo while Jung Yong Hwa continue to make everyone laugh with his comical character named Oh In Beom in Sell Your Haunted House. But are you aware of the similarities they have when it comes to their overall career? Yup, we're not talking about the similarities of their face here, okay? They are way too far from each other when it comes to looks. They are both beautiful in their own way on that matter!

Kwak Dong Yeon Found A "Hyung" In Song Joong Ki In Vincenzo Episode 18

I am so glad that Jang Han Seo (Kwak Dong Yeon) is finding a family in the character of Vincenzo (Song Joong Ki). From the previous episode, we've seen Jang Han Seo shooting Vincenzo and I know most of the viewers thought that it was the real case, I honestly thought the same too! However, just seeing Jang Han Seo smiling for his 'hyung' Vincenzo at the ice rink, I already had my doubts that he'll do so. I mean, the guy really adores Vincenzo with that smile. He finally found the 'hyung' that would appreciate him and treat him like a real family. And I'm so glad that it turned out that way in the latest episode 18.

Vincenzo Avenges The Death Of His Mother In Vincenzo Episode 17

It's been a while since I've watched  a kdrama in a while and the latest episode of Vincenzo is giving me a grand welcome. It's been a while since I've felt intense mixed emotions while watching a Korean drama and I've felt that with the latest episode of Vincenzo. I really thought that I would never connect with this drama because I'm half way through it and I'm just only 'okay' with the turn of events but with the previous episode last 2 weeks ago and up to episode 17, I'm just so stunned all through out! We're at the climax of this drama, people! This is the part that I've been waiting for! I was at the edge of my seat the entire time watching, I'm so effin' amazed with Vincenzo a mafia.

Song Joong Ki & Taecyeon Faced Each Other As Mafia & Babel's Chairman In Vincenzo Episode 11

I'm so thrilled that we're already at the most exciting part of this drama. The first half was more like a build up of the characters but now the excitement should soar even higher with the 2nd half. I didn't know that Vincenzo would have 20 episodes until recently, I just hope that they would use the remaining episodes to give us the top tier suspense from glorious face-off of Vincenzo and Jang Jun Woo. Let them go brutal all they want, they are both of the same feather anyways. It's a battle between two people who don't fear anything in this world. Hopefully Hong Cha Young won't bring down Vincenzo on that matter though.

Song Joong Ki And Jeon Yeo Bin Work In Tandem To Avenge Yoo Jae Myung's Death In Vincenzo Episodes 3.& 4

I'm so impressed with the latest 2 episodes of Vincenzo! I'm just out of words!

Like what I've said in my previous blog post, Vincenzo is the guy that we needed in Jipaguri Law Firm in battling against the devils such as Wusang and Babel. I'm so saddened by the death of Cha Yong's father but I wouldn't say that was unexpected. I'd say that if it weren't because of that, we won't be able to see Vincenzo go berserk and move like 'mafia' again. His ideas and fearlessness got me swooned. We all know that Vincenzo only plans to demolish and sweep away all the treasure at Geumga building but he got close to Jipaguri's chairman that trigerred him to fight for him when he got murdered and dishonored by his enemies. And we now also have Hong Chae Yong working in tandem with Vincenzo, to take on Wusang and Babel's wrong doings and get back the Geumga property in Vincenzo's hands. We got all of it thanks to Hong Yoo Chan's kindness.

Song Joong Ki Works With Jipaguri Law Firm In Vincenzo Episode 2

Vincenzo got no choice but to involve himself now in the matters of Geumga Plaza. I think it was a blessing for Jipaguri Law Firm in general, fighting against the Babel Group with someone like Vincenzo. He has the balls that Hong Yoo Chan (Yoo Jae Myung), Chairman of Jipaguri, doesn't have to stand up against his rival firm, Woosang. Even though Vincenzo has other motive, which is retrieving the treasures of Cassano's late friend and client, I bet he'll get attached to the people around him in Geumga Plaza. I've read the synopsis earlier, finally, that Vincenzo would fall for Hong Cha Young (Jeon Yeo Bin) along the way too so my speculations aren't baseless here. Lol

Song Joong Ki's Vincenzo Premiered With A High Viewership Rating of 7.65%

The first episode of Vincenzo garnered a 7.65% viewership rating which made it the 3rd weekend drama to have a high rating for it's premiere episode in TvN history. Although it didn't beat the drama Mr. Queen's premiere rating of 8.03%, it's still the first in the ratings for that given time slot.

TvN's Vincenzo airs at 21:00 KST, SBS' The Penthouse 2: War In Life airs at 22:00 KST while JTBC's Beyond Evil airs at 23:00 KST. Since these 2 were new as well, I thought they are going to clash on the ratings but thankfully they don't as they have different time slots. The Penthouse is definitely going to roll on the ratings considering it's aired in a free-to-air/public broadcasting station SBS while both Beyond Evil and Vincenzo are for cable TV.
