Go Kyung Pyo Protected His Heart and Dream In Frankly Speaking Episode 3

This episode tells us exactly what it means to be protecting our hearts by expressing what we really mean and by standing up for our own self including our dreams. Nobody would be able to protect us but ourselves. This is really such a great reminder to all of us especially in our modern society today where we compromise ourselves and our feelings to give way to other people because there's hierarchy that dictates us what to do. This happens most especially in our workplace. It's true that in order to survive this chain, we must use white lies and sugarcoat our words to come out pleasing to the ears of those we wanted to have a good impression with but we should do it moderately. In a way that, we wouldn't lose our true selves in the long run. That has become the problem with Song Ki Baek here. He was so used to living in lies and sugarcoat everything that he lost his true self to get himself to his desired dream/goal. Now that he got a disease of telling only the truth, it

Uhm Jung Hwa Rejected Min Woo Hyuk In Doctor Cha Episode 16

Well, that's it. Doctor Cha ended with our much anticipated divorce with her husband Seo In Ho and her liver transplant went well. She's now taking care of her health and making herself a priority over anything. Jeong Suk seemed to be loving her life now and pursuing happiness alone while keeping those she loves the most close to her. After her surgery and her divorce, the building that her ex-mother-in-law loaned after her name became hers and so she opened up a restaurant that serves nutritional salads and also a clinic to practice her profession as a doctor. Everything seemed to be great in her life now and she's genuinely happy so... I think it's a great ending? For her?

I do get the ending, that Doctor Cha is practicing self love and she doesn't need a man or anyone just to be happy. It all starts with her, after all. But, I'm kind of disappointed with how the people around her became. Hmmmm... or maybe I get this feeling because the ending seemed to be rushed that there's no elaboration that happened to the characters at all. Let me start with doctor Roy Kim.

Geez, I was praising him for being an incredible guy for his willingness to risk his life in offering his liver to Jeong Suk despite no assurance whether his feelings will be reciprocated. But suddenly, my admiration towards him crumbles after finding out that he has moved on quickly and is now dating another woman after the rejection. Yes, yes, I know, he's already getting old and needed to settle down but I just didn't expect that this news was revealed just like that. Whew! I thought he was a dedicated man and is willing to wait for Doc Cha but yeah, time is ticking and so he had to move on. Another thing, he seriously donated his bone marrow to his father that he has no connection with personally?! Like, wtf! Right now, after all this, it felt like he's willing to donate his organs to anyone in this world.. lol I'm so disappointed. Jeong Suk saying that she never seen herself and Doctor Roy being a couple was a let down too! All along, it was us viewers who were shipping them for nothing. If only I can take back my giggles over these two. lol

Eun Seo, the daughter of Seung Hi, even though I know that she only wanted her mom to be happy with her love life. It doesn't sit right with me with how she announced that her father Seo In Ho got divorced with his original wife with so much hope in her eyes and tone. Maybe she's still hoping to be a complete family with the 3 of them? Maybe she's lonely for her mom? Or maybe she wanted to feel what it is to have a dad by her side? Who knows and whatever it is, I just don't feel good about it. Thankfully, Seung Hi seemed to have really moved on from Seo In Ho. She's busy operating her own hospital and even if she occasionally ask for Seo In Ho's help, I think they're just having a civil relationship because at the end of the day they are still co-parenting Eun Seo. It's okay for me, just stay platonic though.

And Seo In Ho. Hmmm... he realizes his mistakes for good and is now suffering. Despite having so much in this world, being now the director of their hospital, he doesn't have his whole family to celebrate it with him. His mind was imagining how great it would have been if he's celebrating his life victories with his whole family. Too bad he messed it all up and regretting now his life decisions.

Overall, this drama was a great one. I just had a few issues on the ending but the journey watching this drama was very entertaining and enjoyable so... I'm happy about it.

  1. Yes, I am disappointed too she did not end up with Prof Roy. But then again it seems towards the end she does has the best of 2 worlds, a happy outing with her son and gf, and to live her own life, independent of the hubby.

  5. It showed Dr. Roy moving on after 3 years. I'm pretty sure that was enough time for him to know his feelings toward Dr. Cha would not be returned. It actually ended the way I figured it would.

  6. I was not disappointed that much with Dr Roy Kim and Dr Cha's decision to just single and live a free life. I think after what Dr Cha went to through (even though it was not defined/tackled thoroughly in the drama) is a such tramautic and difficult situation. And when you have been through so much, you just needed time and space for yourself alone. I think it just boils down to prioritizing and giving importance to oneself especially when you have neglected yourself too much and the people around you as well...
