The Good Bad Mother Ends With Their Highest Nationwide Viewership Rating

The Good Bad Mother ends with their highest nationwide viewership rating of 12% and became the only Wednesday-Thursday drama in JTBC history to achieve this milestone as of writing. I'd say this drama really deserved this much attention from the viewers. The story is filled with heartwarming scenes and lessons in life that could touch anyone's heart. The actors performed really well and the plot was just superb. It surely became one of my favorite Kdramas of all time. The whole story really was well written and unfolded smoothly each episode. The ending was fantastic as well! I'd recommend this for sure to everyone who wants to experience a good cry.

JTBC had a back-to-back hit and endings in a span of a week. First was Doctor Cha and then The Good Bad Mother. Both created a buzz in the Kdrama world and also ended with their very own highest nationwide viewership ratings. But if I were to compare the two, I'd say that The Good Bad Mother had the best ending.

Between the two hit dramas, The Good Bad Mother has satisfied most of its viewers while Doctor Cha, though some were also satisfied with the ending, a few was left raging and disappointed.

What do you think about these two dramas?

The Good Bad Mother Beautiful Ending | Episode 14 | Highly Recommended Kdrama

One of the things that I'm seeking for in watching a kdrama series is for it to have a beautiful and meaningful ending. It makes all the time spent in watching it all worthwhile. I'm just fully glad that The Good Bad Mother has that ending and that's what makes this whole series an undeniably highly recommended to every Kdrama fans. It has an impactful lessons to share, the characters (whether they are main nor side characters, they all had important exposure and character development), the flow of events unfolded in a very interesting way that makes us crave for more episodes every week. It's beautiful, really!

Let me share to you guys the scenes that pierced straight to my heart and the ones that made me so entertained.

1. Young Soon died peacefully with her son singing her a lullaby.

I honestly had a bad feeling about this scene from the very start when Young Soon asked Kang Ho to sing her again that sad song. Kang Ho then sang it with all his heart unaware that it'll be the lullaby for his mother to sleep forever. This really made me cry so hard but later realized that Young Soon no longer had to suffer in pain and that this is a perfect ending for a good person like her, so I'm happy in for her. May she rest in peace. (even though this is fictional lol)

2. Hurray! for justice being served after years of waiting and suffering.

The main course. The main issue being solved flawlessly like that. Kang Ho planned it so well cornering Chairman Song and Oh Tae Soo at once. He baited Oh Tae Soo of not exposing his crimes if he will help him in taking Chairman Song down. Oh Tae Soo was so wicked to the point that it blinded him already that it was all a trap. That's a good thing for us though. And so that made him become the witness to testify against Chairman Song.

But of course, that trial against Chairman Song wouldn't have happened if it weren't because of this secretary. After being abandoned and attempted to kill by Chairman Song, this secretary decided to turn things the right way and helped out Kang Ho to corner his boss in the end. Upon getting caught by inflicting injury against the secretary, Chairman Song was abducted by Kang Ho's prosecution solely by this scene only. But all Chairman Song's crimes were stripped at the trial itself. It's so awesome! Kang Ho is awesome!

In the end when things get heated between Chairman Song and Oh Tae Soo, pointing out each other to the crimes served on the trial, Kang Ho pressed through evidences and witnesses to prove that both of them are at fault. And in the end, that loud 'Hurray!' from Young Soon was the signal of victory to their side. Finally, justice had been served for their family.

3. There is still hope for everyone who wants to change their lives for the better.

Did you noticed? How the people who we thought were good for nothing became the key points to Kang Ho's victory? Aside from his intelligence and hard work of course.

a. Samsik

b. Hayoung

c. The gambling house boss

d. So Ji Suk (Chairman Song's ex-secretary) & Mr. Cha

It's like an underlying message throughout the drama, that there is still hope for those who wanted to change for the better. That even if they all went astray in life, there is still a chance to get their selves back to the right path.

My goodness! This is just so beautiful! This is why we shouldn't judge people all to quickly. We wouldn't know, they will be the ones that would help us out in the end. Amazing!

4. Kang Ho and Mi Joo together again with their children!

After all the things that they've gone through and being separated, their love for each other made its way back to each other. And now, they are happily together again!

5. Face reveal!

This made me entertained so much. lol The much awaited face reveal of the village chief's wife and also her real identity! I honestly thought it was only a joke about the rumor that she's hiding from mafias/yakuza but no, it was true! Because she's daughter of a yakuza. Hahaha! So funny!

6. Samsik's love life

Another one that made me so entertained, Samsik. Wahahaha!  I honestly had a feeling that he and Ha Young have a chance in love from the previous episode but that scene where Samsik visited Ha Young in episode 14.. Ha Young's face says otherwise.. bwahahaha I'm not sure anymore but I'm shipping them so hard.

Lee Do Hyun Confessed That There's Only One Woman He's In Love With In The Good Bad Mother Episode 13

Since I don't have much leisure time after I get off from work to watch Kdramas, I always try to catch up when I'm in the office instead or whenever I'm traveling to or from work. Early this morning, I watched the episode 13 of The Good Bad Mother, heck, good thing I'm sitting in front (them facing my back) so my co-workers can't see me crying. lol Akkk.. my heart is in pain!

So, the villagers close to Young Soon finally found out about her terminal illness. It wasn't an ideal place nor time though as they were playing Go Stop. It just happened that Seo Yi Sook, the mother of Sam Sik, have no breaks when it comes to speaking therefore she hit the sensitive topic which was Young Soon's life-death situation. We cannot blame Yi Sook though since she doesn't know anything at all. What's funny though was how Jung Gum Ja, the mother of Mi Joo, reacted and triggered the hidden insecurities of Yi Sook. lol They were all in rage but it all ended well when Gum Ja finally told Yi Sook and the others about Young Soon's illness.

I really love the villagers, they really have this sense of community. Nothing is left alone. Well, there's a time wherein I misunderstood them and it's all because of that despicable singer-songwriter but it's all good now. I'm just so happy that Young Soon won't be left alone till her last breath while Kang Ho is busy in a dangerous revenge.

On the other hand, Kang Ho's 'new detectives' Mi Joo and Sam Sik succeeded in bringing Ha Young to their side to testify against her father Oh Tae Soo. Kang Ho and Ha Young finally talked and settled their personal issues with each other. It's also very clear to Ha Young now that there's no other woman in Kang Ho but Mi Joo. And it just so happened that Mi Joo was about to enter where Kang Ho and Ha Young where talking when Kang Ho confessed about this truth. Mi Joo was moved to tears and finally opened her heart once again to Kang Ho and both shared a kiss. Ah finally!

Kang Ho also settled things between him and Samsik in this episode. I'm so happy that they are all in this together. But I still cannot be fully happy when I know that Young Soon will soon bid farewell to everyone. Waaaah! We should prepare a lot of tissues for the last episode that will air tonight! Good luck to all of us, let's all cry together.

Next episode, we'll be able to witness also the end of Kang Ho's revenge. Will he and Young Soon finally get the justice they deserved? For sure, yes because they're the protagonist lol... but how? Did he gathered all the evidences he needed? Hwang Soo Hyun is gone now and cannot testify, I guess Ha Young is the key here. But I just hope that btch won't betray all of us in the end coz I'm gonna flip!

The Good Bad Mother Finally Reached a 2-digit Nationwide Viewership Ratings

JTBC surely is on a roll for this year. Doctor Cha is a hit drama and my other favorite drama right now, The Good Bad Mother, achieves its 2-digit nationwide viewership ratings with episode 11 and 12!  Nice! One thing that I've noticed creating hits is that they need to be also on a universal platform wherein a lot of people could access the show. For these 2 dramas, they are on Netflix as well and so lots of people across the world are talking about them which automatically opens curiosity from other people who haven't watched the dramas yet.

Anyways, congratulations to the whole cast and production team of The Good Bad Mother!! They all deserve this attention from people. It has a very good plot and every actors are well performed! There are only 2 episodes left for this drama which will air this coming Wednesday and Thursday. I am so scared for what will happen to Young Soon and Kang Ho. For sure though, whether we like it or not, Young Soon will be gone in the end but I just hope that Kang Ho will survive his vengeance and live happily with Mi Joo and his kids. Sigh.

The Good Bad Mother episode 11 reached 10.25% while episode 12 had 10.99% (11%). Amazing, right?

Ra Mi Ran And Ahn Ji Eun Had A Heart-to-Heart Talk About Lee Do Hyun In The Good Bad Mother Episode 12

TITLE EDIT: Ra Mi Ran And Ahn Eun Jin Had A Heart-to-Heart Talk About Lee Do Hyun In The Good Bad Mother Episode 12

The 35 year old Kang Ho is back and I'm so sentimental and scared AF! I really am happy that his memories came back and that Mi Joo and Young Soon became aware of the 'real' Kang Ho and his sacrifices, but it only meant that Kang Ho had to leave their sides once again in order to resume his revenge against Chairman Song and Oh Tae Soo.

As much as I want to side mother Young Soon of throwing his revenge plans out of the picture and migrate out of the country, the problem between their family and the two powerful goons are way too deep and complicated already. The feud between them can no longer be stopped just by forgetting everything. Clearly, Chairman Song and Oh Tae Soo wanted Kang Ho dead and they'll continue to torture their lives wherever they escape to achieve that goal. It's impossible to escape them at all especially when they know that Kang Ho holds so many evidences of their crimes. Oh Tae Soo cannot bet his candidacy for president by allowing Kang Ho to live knowing that he may drop these evidences anytime and could lead for his reputation to be destroyed. The man is greedy and egotistic to put his reputation on the line and lose the presidency so he once again made an alliance with Chairman Song and swore to protect his business as a president but that only meant eliminating the hindrance to them which is Kang Ho. Their eagerness to eliminate him is vast, pushing Kang Ho to be the suspect behind Hwang Yoon Soong's murder. But Kang Ho was quick witted, he acted out as mentally ill person despite regaining his memories in order to buy more time to search for the evidences that would put the two goons to their proper endings.

Hwang Yoon Soong. The appearance of her body from the bay alarms everyone but we don't know exactly if it really was her. Kang Ho made sure that they were safe sailing away from the country to the Philippines and he entrusted them to his boss from the fishery/restaurant that he's been working with for several years. Therefore, it's mind boggling how they found a dead body and claim it to be Hwang Yoon Soong. Maybe someone's playing games with them, but who? Or was it part of Kang Ho's plans? Did he really thought everything through before his car crash? Hmmm if so, he's definitely one smart guy! But hey, we'll soon find out the truth once he finds the man/captain of the ship and seeing the preview for the next episode, Kang Ho will meet him.

Anyways, my goodness! Young Soon already knew about Mi Joo and her grandchildren! Can you see how happy she was during their mini-party/farewell party? The way she calls Yejin and Seojin sweetly melts my heart. I'm so happy for her too that she could spend her time left with them, I just hope that Mi Joo mom won't hinder this. Ugh. It's time for you to accept everything Ahjumma especially now you don't have to worry anymore since Kang Ho is back to his old self.

The other thing that I'm glad about Kang Ho's comeback is that even though he resumes his plans of revenge, he's no longer alone. Her mother shows him support and love and if ever he gets hurt along the way, he will always have a mother that will help him stand up once again. Kang Ho regains Samsik as his friend too and of course, his lover Mi Joo is willing to help him out as well. Aww, this is so wonderful. I'm sure the whole villagers would support him all the way too! They are all like a family after all. Their relationship is so beautiful, Imma cry now.

Lee Do Hyun Regained His Memories In The Good Bad Mother Episode 11

Goosebumps! Wow! That last scene, for sure, Kang Ho regained his memories! Gah! I'm so excited for it because I need him to stop Oh Tae Soo from trampling their life over and over again. Samsik may be a useless idiot but his stupidity definitely made an impact to awaken the demons in this drama and push Kang Ho back to his senses (accidentally though lol). I'm pretty sure that Oh Tae Soo made that move of setting the pigs farm on fire to eliminate Kang Ho but little did he know that he made a huge mistake. Kang Ho hit his head accidentally while trying to escape the fire and flashback from his last moment before the car crash came back. His memories of his father, especially his voice, came back too. Now, I can't wait for the next episode!

Ha Young on the other hand. I hated her, but thinking about it, she's just a victim here. Her father manipulated her, created an alternate reality to look good to her while he's making Kang Ho the bad guy. Now that Ha Young learned the truth from a voice recording and the DNA test result from Sam Sik, she decided not to get used by him anymore for his evil deeds. She chose to stand for herself and for her beliefs and ran away from the wedding after receiving a mysterious gift. She did it despite knowing that she'll be caught in trouble especially with her father. Geez, I hope she'll remain on the good side till the very end.

The scene where Yejin had a heart-to-heart talk with her mother, Mi Joo. Dang! She's so mature for her age! That's definitely like an eye opening for the adults overthinking things. A simple minded Yejin spoke with more wisdom than some adults can possess and I bet Mi Joo and her mother learned something from it. I'm expecting for them to have the courage to face reality and not run away from it. If they really decide not to get involved with Kang Ho any further, at least have him know the truth about Seojin and Yejin and settle everything first before moving forward. I honestly can fully understand Mi Joo's mother's intent of not getting involved with Kang Ho anymore, because it's really hard to take care of an ill person. Lots of things in your own life will be sacrificed in order to do well in taking care of another human being, so I can fully understand. But, that doesn't mean they have to escape and ran away from reality. They need to at least have the guts to face it, face Kang Ho and Young Soon.

Speaking of Young Soon, gosh, I feel like I'm gonna cry a river when she's gone. I mean, right now that some people in the village knew about her severe illness (including Kang Ho) and had a vulnerable moment with Mi Joo's mom, I found myself teary eyed and heart broken already. Also that sad scene where Kang Ho sang a sad lullaby for his mother, gosh, I feel so sad, I'm so in pain. lol But really, it's so heartbreaking knowing they had to part ways sooner or later.

Ahn Eun Jin Finally Confessed That Her Kids' Father Is Lee Do Hyun In The Good Bad Mother Episode 10

It's not like Young Soon didn't want Mi Joo for her son, Kangho, she just didn't know yet the truth. All this while she was looking for Kang Ho's future bride with the help of the villagers and despite Kang Ho's feelings towards Mi Joo were clear, Young Soon thought that it can't be done. To her, Mi Joo is married to someone else, to Yejin and Seojin's father. So even if I getting frustrated with this scene 'finding Kang Ho his bride', I can't get mad at Young Soon because of this reason. She just didn't know.

Now that Mi Joo knows the about Young Soon's real situation, she finally had the courage to confess to her own mother the truth about Yejin and Seojin's father. The reaction from her mother was frustrating also, but again, I also understand where she's coming from. It's really hard for a mother to witness her kid going through difficult times and Kang Ho being unwell, Mi Joo had to live for him. Meaning, she'll have to sacrifice a lot in order to take care of him and her mother didn't want that. But seriously, Mi Joo is a grown up woman. She can make her own decision what to do with her life. She loves Kang Ho dearly and whether her mother and the villagers don't want it, Kang Ho is still the father of Seojin and Yejin.

You know what? Young Soon's problems will be solved immediately once Mi Joo become honest with everyone. Mi Joo still loves Kang Ho and they've been through a lot together, I trust that she's the only one who can accept and take care of Kang Ho sincerely and not those ladies they've set up on the blind dates. And it seemed like Mi Joo is finally taking a step in accepting Kang Ho in her life again. It's a risk, of course, because she still didn't know the real reason behind why Kang Ho left her. She's still in pain and that's understandable and that's also the reason I find her so admirable, because she's a risk taker. Gosh, I hope everything will go well for her.

Ra Mi Ran Learned The Truth Behind Lee Do Hyun's Cold Treatment To Her In The Good Bad Mother Episode 9

Guys, I'm crying right now, I judged Kang Ho right away. I forgot that a child is a reflection of their parents and Young Soon was a wonderful person and a mother to Kang Ho, therefore Kang Ho is the same as her. Waaah! After watching episode 9, I'm regretting the negative emotions I've felt towards Kang Ho. The path that he has chosen was so frightful and lonely and it was all because he wanted to avenge not his father but his mother for her ruined life caused by Oh Tae Soo and Chairman Song.

All this while we thought Kang Ho was a mean person who has planted anger towards his mother, we misunderstood him and I feel sorry. Kang Ho loves his mother so much and he was never angry with Young Soon because he knew all along that he's loved by her unconditionally despite being awfully strict with him. All along, he knew it was all for him. Gosh I wanna cry so bad. He sacrificed everything including Mi Joo, to avenge his mother's unfortunate fate. He abandoned every person he loved dearly because he didn't want them to be in danger with him. Noooo!

Now, I'm even sadder because despite being a good person deep inside, Kang Ho's mother will soon be gone from his side. Not only he suffered from the car crash, he will suffer again when one day his mother would be taken away from him due to cancer. Ugh. Why?! Is this a punishment for him for wanting revenge? How about Oh Tae Soo and Chairman Song? When will their punishment arrive? Why is is always the good people who suffer the most? Waaaah!

The Good Bad Mother Sets Personal New High Record In Nationwide Viewership Rating With Episode 8

I had the wrong idea that this drama, The Good Bad Mother, only has 12 episodes but as I rechecked Netflix, it actually has 14 episodes! The whole show will be on air till June 8! Nice! But that only meant we had to cry harder each episodes. *sulks in the corner
I hope Young Soon will survive that stage 4 stomach cancer. Pls let a miracle happen for her! She's a good person who deserves to live longer and happily with her son.

This is one heavy drama, and as an observation throughout my experience in watching Kdramas, there's a lot of viewers who don't like this kind of genre. They just let it pass despite having a good story and amazing actors/actresses. I don't blame them though, we have different preferences so it's all cool. But despite all these, The Good Bad Mother continues to catch attention and attracts viewers with each new episode out every week.

The Good Bad Mother started off with a low nationwide viewership rating of only 3.58% but now, they're at 8.44% with the latest episode 8. Isn't that great?! I hope they would hit double digits before the drama ends! Let's go share it to everyone and stay tuned every week!

Ra Mi Ran Continues To Live On For Her Son Lee Do Hyun In The Good Bad Mother Episode 8

I'm just so happy that Young Soon got back to her senses and continue to live on for her son even if it's just a little longer. Kang Ho made her realize that there's still time for them to spend together and help him get back on his feet and teach him all the things he should know for survival when she's gone. The entire episode was tear-jerking but I couldn't hold it anymore when Young Soon was teaching Kang Ho how to hold a funeral for her. Gah! So heartbreaking! I just couldn't take it.
