Lee Dong Wook Returns To Jo Bo Ah's Side In Tale of the Nine Tailed 1938 Episode 12

Finally had the time to watch the finale episode! And omygod it was so good! Better than I had expected!

Lee Rang unleashed his nine-tailed fox powers in order to save his life and his girlfriend's. Throughout the series, Lee Rang had this impression of naive, childish, hot-tempered kid, reckless and helpless, but all of these negative impressions of him got lifted because the writer finally decided to give him a character development. I honestly am astounded, really. I did not expect it. It was so beautiful to watch though, finally the character that I pity the most in this show grew some bones to protect himself and his loves ones especially Yeo Hee the mermaid.

Then we have Mooyeong coming back to life. Thanks to the Lee Yeon and his encounter with the god of fortunes, Mooyeong got revived. But as they all say, kindness comes back to you so Mooyeong returned the favor to Lee Yeon by protecting him from the soldiers trying to hinder his travel back home.

Hong Joo found Jae Yoo but because Jae Yoo was a loyal dog to his master, he took his own life in order not to harm his master due to the poison that got injected on him. Thankfully, once more, Lee Yeon of 1938 saved the day and helped Hong Joo in reviving Jae Yoo. Some fans were really shipping Hong Joo and Jae Yoo together but I'd say that what they have is actually platonic only. I mean, they're just plain master and slave. Or maybe Hong Joo just treats Jae Yoo like her own family just like how she treats her girls in Myoyeongak. If there's someone I'd like Hong Joo to end up with, it's definitely Mooyeong!

Now let's talk about Shin Joo and Eun Ho. I know that there weren't much exposure about them being together but, I find myself giggling over them. Maybe because I know that they'll both end up together in the future? I just like their tandem and thankfully Shin Joo was of use to her before he left her.

Last but not the least, Lee Yeon! My goodness! This show is really named after him because he's the real deal/hero of the day! He helped every character in the show and beats the main enemy, what did I expect? lol But I came to love his character in 1938 really. He's loveable in here. I thought I wouldn't be happy if he comes back to 2023 to see Ji-Ah but what do you know? I loved it! I just realized now that they actually have chemistry. (disregarding season 1) lololol

Anyways, all in all, I loved the show. There were boring parts, I cannot deny that, but after the second half till its last episode, it was all a blast! Amazing!

Oh btw, there'll be season 3? Because what happened to the real mountain god?! ohhhh.. there's definitely season 3 for this!

Kim Bum And Woo Hyun Jin's Love Got Tested Once More In Tale of the Nine Tailed 1938 Episode 11

My favorite couple Lee Rang and his little mermaid survived the zombie apocalypse but our joy was short lived because they're tested once more as one of the mercenaries kidnapped the mermaid. Even though Lee Rang is a grown man physically, he's still naïve. Why did he had to leave his girlfriend out in the open when the whole period they're living in was such a dangerous place? I'm mad but I can't blame him though, he thought that they have ended the mercenaries and was totally clueless about that they too had survived.

The final battle is about to start with the final boss and Lee Yeon but time is ticking as it will happen the same day as Lee Yeon's final chance to come back to his own world and era. It's thrilling but upon seeing the still cuts of Jo Bo Ah (Ji-Ah, the love of Lee Yeon's life), I know exactly that Lee Yeon's gonna succeed in coming back to her. The question is, how? That's what we're about to find out tonight!

Mooyeong on the other hand, got tricked once again. Sigh. The man only wanted to have someone beside him. He was all lonely and seeking for love that made him do all the bad things in the world. If only his friends were there by his side throughout his life, I wouldn't think he'll ended up like that. Sometimes, our friends really need to keep an eye with one another so that nobody would get astray in life but I guess that's just how it is. Life is cruel, we all have a life to live and it's difficult to maintain a bond and eye on one another too so nobody should be blamed here. Anyways, he has a sad life and end, but was that how he'll end? Is he really dead now? Nooo!

Even though Hong Joo doesn't want to get involved now with Lee Yeon and his fight with the chief general, her secretary got kidnapped by one of the mercenaries too. She's not the type that abandons someone that became a family to her so surely, she will once more fight alongside Lee Yeon against the enemies. One last fight!

Will Lee Rang's Mermaid Girlfriend Survive Transforming Into A Zombie?! | Episode 10 Quick Recap

Oh wow I finally was able to catch up with the latest episode of Tale of the Nine Tailed 1938 and all I could say is just wow! It's so good to the point that I was craving for the next episode fast! Thankfully the last two episodes will air this weekend, I don't need to wait for so long!

Finally the battle has begun between Lee Yeon's team vs the Japanese demons/mercenaries. The fight scenes were so cool and entertaining with their different abilities exposed. I'm so glad they added such enemies to contribute excitement to the plot. One thing that I'm so sad about though was the fact that Lee Yeon's friend, Mooyeong, was at fault why Lee Rang's mermaid girlfriend/fiancé was on the verge of death/transforming into a 'zombie'.

Seriously, the chaos happening in the hotel back to back with the happenings inside the picture/painting where Lee Yeon and the others were in were so thrilling! But I have to say that I'm so effin' sad for Lee Rang. Will there really be hope for the mermaid to survive this? I hope so, but knowing that the girl wasn't in the future with Lee Rang made me think of the negative. I just hope that there's a different ending like, the mermaid survived and just chose to separate ways with Lee Rang so he could move on with his life with Lee Yeon. Any possible ending with her being alive is better than not surviving this hell. I don't want Lee Rang to lose his first and last love in this tragedy. It's breaking my heart so much thinking that Lee Rang will long for her for eternity.

I'm anticipating the last two episodes so much now! Ahhhh!

Kim Bum Kisses His Girlfriend for the First Time in Tale of the Nine Tailed Episode 7

This episode is so good! Nice! It feels so good to be impressed by a Tale of the Nine Tailed episode again! I really love it when everything gets angsty. Lee Rang gave off a different level of hotness as he gets determined to protect the needle on his hands while fighting against the Jangsan Tiger poons. His love for his brother really gets me everytime, it's so immense that makes me remember how he sacrificed his life for Lee Yeon in the year 2020, that was tragic! Too much love for anyone won't do you good, really. Be it for your lover, friend or family. Too much love gives disappointments that lead to breakups too. Speaking of which, that's proven and what happened the the 3 mountain god besties.

Episode 7, we got a glimpse of how Lee Yeon killed Muyeong's older brother. His major reason was because of their promise of protecting one another. There's not much in-depth explanation to it, it just happened that the older brother of Muyeong was possessed or something and attack anyone in front of him including Lee Yeon and Muyeong. lol I hope they elaborate that more though coz it's still vague and lacking for Muyeong to understand. Including me of crouse. I'm sure protecting one another was one but there must be something else in there for Lee Yeon to kill.

We got to see the 3 mountain gods fight as well! That was really intense and I love it so much when they are all serious! They're gods for a reason and the power tells it all! Although Lee Yeon and Muyeong were restraining themselves in attacking Hong Joo, the fight was still very much entertaining. We got a little drama here and there and some flashbacks from their childhood which makes everything worthwhile to watch! Hong Joo is really powerful, right? But her heart still beats for her two friends and that their promise of protecting each other was greater than the power of Jangsan Tiger that manipulated her. Gods surely are amazing!

But then again, the betrayal of Muyeong finally got busted by Lee Yeon. This is so effin' sad. Just when they were all 3 again together. I guess Muyeong really played along Lee Yeon as his ally for the time being in order to obtain something that he needed to heal. That was well played but heartbreaking Muyeong.

And of course, how can I forget. I already mentioned above about Lee Rang risking his life for his older brother but I haven't mentioned about the KISS. lol AAAAkkk my Lee Rang is a real man now with his first kiss with the mermaid! The thing about this mermaid is that, she's really sincere in protecting Lee Rand and that pretty much summarizes how much she loves Lee Rang. I am indeed jealous of her but I would still approve of her for Lee Rang. They really look good together too! But as much as I wanted to expect much of their relationship, the first seasons told me already that they're not meant to be. Ugh. *crying

Lee Dong Wook, Kim So Yeon And Ryu Kyung Soo Have A Get Together In Tale of the Nine Tailed 1938 Episode 6

The much awaited get together of the 3 mountain gods from different eras finally happened. Even though that this is a happy event, I still feel the sadness this event exudes. I mean, Hong Joo is the only one from the 1938 era, while the two, Muyeong and Lee Yeon are from the future. It looked like they all need something extraordinary happening like this in order to be together again. In the 1938 era, Muyeong was cursed by Taluipa and became stone after annihilating the forest that he's protecting as a mountain god while Lee Yeon is addicted to opium because he cannot let go of his lover Ah-Eum. In short, Hong Joo is the only sane being among the three of them. To be the only girl in their friendship, I can't help but feel sympathy over Hong Joo for feeling sentimental about having the better versions of Muyeong and Lee Yeon by her side. She may not be showing it directly to her friends, but as a viewer, it was all visible and clear. I cannot blame her if she wanted to protect these two in this era even though the two of them weren't in good terms. At least not yet when we still don't know what's the real plan of Muyeong against Lee Yeon.

They may have watched a movie and have a get together, but it's obvious that Muyeong still holds a grudge towards Lee Yeon. He only approached Lee Yeon because he has a dirty plan. He must have thought that nothing will get in his way if he makes a deal with a hell god, but no, instead of Lee Yeon being captive by a demon from different dimension, Hong Joo was caught instead. Now, he's regretting making a deal and plans to rescue his loved one with the help of Lee Yeon.

Lee Dong Wook Meets An Old Friend Ryu Kyung Soo In Tale of the Nine Tailed

Finally, Lee Yeon met face to face with Cheon Muyeong. The question is, if Lee Yeon really knows that Muyeong is the red white masked man or was he just bluffing on the ending scene of episode 5?

Did Muyeong really sold his soul to one of the hell gods/kings? If so, he's that desperate to avenge his brother. We really need to see the whole story if Lee Yeon really killed his brother and if ever he did, what was the reason? Lee Yeon may be a fool for love, sometimes cruel and acts only for his own benefits but he's still a good guy deep inside. The Lee Yeon from the present, at least, is better than the Lee Yeon in 1938 though. So I still believe that there's a valid reason why he did so.

Lee Yeon, Myung Soo and Hong Joo are best of friends since they were children and they all grew up to be mountain gods. They even have a pact of protecting one another to the point that they will risk their lives for each other. If only Lee Yeon didn't fall miserably in love with a human, they all could've still be together protecting one another.

What's saddening about a friendship though is when one falls in love with another without his/her feelings reciprocated. That's just awkward and painful experience and so it's a shame that it's what's happening to Hong Joo and Lee Yeon. I hope that Hong Joo would still be by Lee Yeon's side no matter what, but that comes costly since another important friend Myung Soo is on the line. The better solution to this problem is to get Lee Yeon and Myung Soo get along well again and I hope Hong Joo would think the same tactic.

I know he's been a cutie ever since but lately, I'm seeing a different side of him. It's his sexy side, to be particular. Thank goodness I've watched Tale of the Nine Tailed since season 1, from there onwards I've been simping over his sexy side. His snobby attitude is definitely a yes for me in that Kdrama! lol

Now look at these photos below. Kim Bum will be featured in Cosmopolitan Korea June issue! Look at those sexy face, arms and legs! Ugh! I love him so!

Lee Dong Wook And Kim Bum Co-Parenting A Baby In Tale of the Nine Tailed Episodes 3 & 4

I feel like I want Lee Yeon to just stay in the 1938 era instead of him going back home to the present. Lol He's better off withouth Ji-Ah in his life. Kkk I mean, interesting things happen to him without her. Who would've thought that he'll be co-parenting a baby with his brother Lee Rang? Episode 4 is just too cute!
I'm not really sure what the writer is up to or what he's trying to convey but one thing is becoming obvious here, he's mixing all genres in one like what happened in season 1. To be honest, I'm staying and watching this because of the visuals and effects. It's all really good to the eyes. It's just sad that I find the plot still weak. We're still at episode 4 so I'm hoping for the story to catch more of my interest in the upcoming episodes. I hope they won't waste Kim So Yeon's acting skills over this drama. I want the story to evolve more on the trio, the mountain gods. I'm looking forward to a more in depth flashbacks and fight scenes between the three. To witness all their powers, that I'm quite excited of.
Anyways, episode 3, Lee Yeon lost his sight because of MooYeong's agenda of revenge. But eventually regained his sight after harvesting some good deeds he did when he was a mountain god. Lee Rang also gained himself a romance without efforts. Cute!
Episode 4, Lee Yeon and Lee Rang found a baby that they got fond of due to her abilities. They named it Lee Mi Ho, a baby that brings fortune to people. Apparently, this baby knows where to find the golds, reason why it's being hunted by the villains to feed their greeds.

Lee Dong Wook, Kim So Yeon and Ryu Kyung Soo Reunited As Mountain Gods In Tale of the Nine Tails Episode 2

Okay, there are 4 mountain gods right? Lee Yeon, Ryu Hong Joo (Kim So Yeon), Cheon Mu Yeong (Ryu Kyung Soo) and who's the other one again? Is it Lee Rang or the imoogi from the last season? I can't remember now. But anyways, isn't it cool to see them altogether exposing their powers?

Lee Yeon feels like a weakling whenever Ryu Hong Joo and Cheon Mu Yeong show their powers.

Anyways, it was revealed in this episode that Cheon Mu Yeong is the masked man that stole the stone from the present time and went back to 1938. Hong Joo was the one that discovered it firsthand. The sad thing about this is that, all of the 4 mountain gods were friends but Mu Yeong revealed that Lee Yeon killed his brother. Seems like we're gonna have more flashbacks to tell this side of story.

Season 2 honestly feels like comedic at the same time cool now after watching the 2 episodes. It's nothing new but the huge difference from the 1st season is that it's not trying hard to be of all genre. At least no more cringey love story to witness.

Lee Rang on the other hand feels so much cooler like dang! With him wearing suspenders and kicking asses. Gaaah! I'm so attracted to him. I love him already.

Lee Dong Wook And Kim Bum Are Back As Brothers In Tail of the Nine Tailed 1938 Episode 1

Lee Dong Wook and Kim Bum are back as brothers in Tale of the Nine Tailed 1938! 1st episode aired last night and I was really glad to watch the handsome faces of the Lee brothers. I mean, Lee Yeon's love life is finally out of the way so the story would definitely have much bearing than before. Seriously, Lee Yeon's love interest, Ji-Ah, was the one that made season 1 really cringey and tasteless. I know that Lee Yeon's madly in love with the reincarnation of his true love but still, it overpowers everything else in the story that makes the story less appealing. But now, let's rejoice because Ji-Ah is finally gone! lol Now we can focus on the Lee brothers and the new cool characters!

I won't lie, I don't really plan on watching this because of the bad impression I had of it from the previous season but hey, aside from Ji-Ah not involved in this season, we got to have new amazing characters that will be portrayed by Ryoo Kyung Soo and the one and only Kim So Yeon!! OMG! This is like a comeback of Kim So Yeon in small screen after her famous portrayal of The Penthouse' Cheon Seo Jin! Isn't it nice to watch her in an action fantasy drama like this?! Anyways I just watched the first episode and I think Kim So Yeon's character has a love interest for Lee Dong Wook's character. Hmmmm I'm curious about it!

So to summarize what happened in episode 1, Lee Yeon was sent back to the past, year 1938, in order to reclaim the stone that stabilizes the human world. However, because of his reunion with his brother Lee Rang and wanting to save his life, he was involved in fighting a very handsome creature that eats the life-span of people. Lee Yeon ran out of time to return to his world so he's now trapped in the year 1938!! How will he go back to his present time? Let's find out till the end!! lol

Beyond the Bar is over and I'm feeling empty again. Have you ever felt so attached to the characters and story that you can't focus ...
