Park Eun Bin once again left me in awe by her versatility as an actress. I love her for that! This new series of hers, Hyper Knife, is a medical/crime/thriller drama that I absolutely enjoy watching lately. This got me really excited, tbh. I wasn't really expecting anything much from it when I started watching it, as I don't really read synopsis before watching anything, but it just got me hooked as episode 1 gone by. The concept where the one who oppressed the protagonist before and seeking her help now is what made me really excited. lol I want to see Jung Se Ok to disregard the old man's wishes to help him. haha! But the old man does dirty works too, he's persuading her to operate on him by threatening her to stop her from doing surgeries in the shadows. 

Park Eun Bin Wants Us To Give Our Best Shot In The Present To Reach Our Dreams In Finale Episode of Castaway Diva

This drama is indeed trying to convey a lot of motivational and inspirational quotations for us to contemplate with, I won't deny that it served its purpose. Ki Ho and Mok Ha have the same fate in their childhood. They are both victims of domestic abuse from their father, they both ran away from this life and even though they were forcefully got separated by the universe for 15 years, they still got reunited and helped each other out in resolving their individual issues. Their separation helped them grow as a person with lots of wisdom about life in general. Ki Ho got smarter and gained a lot of experiences in surviving the modern busy world day by day while Mok Ha got her patience and endurance facing difficulties, learning to never give up. I think Mok Ha and Ki Ho really complemented well. With all these experiences they got from their separation, when they got reunited, they knew how to helped each other out with each other's weaknesses. Ki Ho helped Mok Ha to reaching her dreams, supporting her all the way, and Mok Ha helped Ki Ho to overcome his fears and became his encouragement to do not be afraid of losing everything because she'll stay with him no matter what. This is why I knew from the very start that they're the best endgame for this drama. They're just meant to be. 

Actually, Mok Ha helped out other characters as well, not just Ki Ho, to have hope in their lives, whatever difficulty they're going through. To live in the moment and try harder to achieve whatever they wanted to be. Worrying about the future wouldn't do you any good if you cannot do anything in your present time. Hurrying about achieving your dreams won't do you any good. It all takes time. All of that and more, is what Mok Ha represented in this drama. 

I think Mok Ha living in a deserted island for 15 years is what made her special. Her way of thinking really leveled up her outlook in life compared to those who lived in the modern day world. Look at Ran Joo, she's an example of someone who always wanted to get whatever she desires so easily despite the age and time while Mok Ha is the other way around. Actually, I don't literally see Castaway Diva as it is, I see it as a representation of how the modern people are living their lives in comparison to the past where there's no abundance of internet, machines and other modernization that makes life completely busy all the time. Those living in modern world is us now, while the old people of today and the past were like Mok Ha. People like Mok Ha doesn't overlook the small things in life, she appreciates everything and doesn't give up so easily whenever she's facing difficulties. And those modern people, not all but a lot, are the opposite of people like Mok Ha. I think this drama is telling us to slow down and become appreciative of our present as well. 

Also, despite whatever we experienced in our childhood, we shouldn't let this become a hindrance in achieving our dreams and better lives. Hence, we should persevere more and make our past an inspiration to move forward. 

The drama is great, all issues have been resolved about all characters involved. But will I recommend it? Probably yes... probably no.. My feelings about this drama is just neutral.. not hyped at all... but still inspiring tho. It's up to you guys. kkk 

Park Eun Bin Cut Ties With Her Loved Ones To Chase Her Dreams In Castaway Diva Episode 9 & 10

Cutting ties with your loved ones who are holding you back is something really happening in real life also not just in K-drama so this topic is really sensitive if discussed based on one point of view. But since I'm the blogger/writer of this post, I'll just share with you my perspective towards this. It may sound brutal or cold-hearted but I do believe that it is necessary to make sacrifices, especially if those people are the reason why you couldn't fly high in your life. These people I'm referring to may be your friends, lover and even your own family. I think that sticking with people who are preventing you to achieve your dreams or do whatever you want in your life because you 'love' and 'care' for them, it's like killing your true potential of becoming who you were supposed to be. I think that, if you truly love and care for these people, you'd have to love and embrace your true potential in order to give away more opportunities, love, and care for all of them. There are a lot of people who are left with no choices in life, it's like they had to support their own family's needs for them to survive but it would just tire you out eventually because even if you support them your whole life, if they cannot support for themselves then it's all for nothing. 

In the case of Mok Ha, Ki Ho and his family were all caught up in an identity theft scandal which is already a threat to Mok Ha's budding career if ever a reporter digs more facts about Mok Ha's life. They would eventually know that they are all connected. For a starter like Mok Ha, who's already in her 30s btw, she needs to be careful of everything or all will be lost. So when Ran Joo gave her the ultimatum of choosing between cutting ties with Ki Ho and his family or her album/career and she chose the latter, I really understood her well. Yes, it's painful to watch Ki Ho witnessing this 'abandonment' but we all know it's only temporary. Ki Ho is a smart guy and  he knows it too that's why even though it's painful that Mok Ha had to go, he'll still support her till the very end. Ki Ho from the beginning wanted her to achieve her dreams anyway so... that's just it.. support her from the start till the end. Besides, it's about time that Ki Ho and his family had to face their own problems and actually solve it. It's about time that they face their father and end their struggles to live happily without anything to scare them.

I still do feel bad that Ran Joo had to push Mok Ha to choose considering that Ki Ho is undergoing a difficult time of his life. He needs someone to comfort him, yah know and Mok Ha is the best candidate for that. But hey destiny has it's plans to punish Ran Joo for her doing, she will be caught in her own scandal and she would know it how feels to be left behind. But then again, only Mok Ha would stay by her side despite it all. Ohh to have Mok Ha's loyalty, Ran Joo is very lucky!!! 

Chae Jong Hyeop Decides To Meet His Father After Hiding From Him For 15 Years In Castaway Diva Episodes 7 & 8

Wow, a character development for Ran Joo? Is this really it or we're just getting the taste of it temporarily? For a singer that is in her 40s and was active since her youth, it's no longer a surprise if their fame diminish or even vanish. It's true what Lee Seo Jun said to Mok Ha, public's attention to something has a time limit. Not exactly his words but the thought is same. What I'm trying to tell here is that, Ran Joo's time is over and it's time to move on. It doesn't mean that she had to quit singing, she just has to let go obsessing over fame of her own career. If she doesn't really want to let go of the entertainment then why not just create her own label/agency? Now that the spotlight is on Mok Ha, and Mok Ha is known to be her mentee and avid fan, why not have her as an artist of her own? Ran Joo has to think about it and stop focusing on the negative. For once, she has to create her own path not rely on others. 

Anyways, let's talk about Mok Ha's wonderful debut. Waaah! She's really gorgeous and is fitted to be on that stage with her wonderful voice. That scene where Bo Geol arrange, plan and direct everything for Mok Ha's stage at the same time showing the young Ki Ho and Mok Ha on the screen, that made me realize that they actually contributed a lot on the present career. Young Ki Ho was directing Mok Ha when they were younger and then he became a producer for a music show and Mok Ha has now debuted on stage as a singer!!! Waaah that's so cool!!! 

As for Kang Bo Geol finally revealing himself that he is Ki Ho to Mok Ha, I think it's the best move to get the girl. Lol I have a trauma when it comes to Han Ji Pyeong of Start Up, being that special childhood friend yet he still wasn't the guy chosen for the girl. It's good that he's straightforward when it comes to his feelings too, unlike Ji Pyeong before who is already too late to confess his true feelings. Anyways, I like it that Ki Ho is being Ki Ho again and that he and Mok Ha are acting so close to each other again. I can already feel that no man can separate the two even the Woo Hak. I'm so sorry for the director and writer but... even if you always show Woo Hak being jelly over Ki Ho and Mok Ha all the time, it won't change the fact that Bo Geol is much more deserving for Mok Ha. There's no match at all. So team Bo Geol all the way for me!!! yaaay!

And last but not the least, Bo Geol meeting his father. Sigh. Just like his father who was once a police officer, Bo Geol's intention to meet him is so obvious. I think meeting him now won't change the fact that the father is aiming not only for Ki Ho but for the whole family. It's scary as hell, but hopefully meeting the father would get him distracted from going to the brothers salon where the whole family is at. Geez, Ki Ho's father needed to be imprisoned asap! I mean, he's so scary and I wouldn't want the whole family be under his roof ever again. Just because you're the father/head of the family, it doesn't mean you have the privilege to do whatever you like with your wife and children so much more for doing violence towards them. That's a big NO NO! Our world is different now from the past, family doesn't work that way anymore in this new world. Let's fight against domestic violence!!! It should have no room in our world today! Wah!

Chae Jong Hyeop Is Jung Ki Ho In Castaway Diva Episodes 5 & 6

I really don't know now if Ran Joo really is deserving of our sympathy over her crashing career due to old age or not. After seeing all the flashbacks on how she acted during her younger years, it makes me feel like she is only harvesting what she had sown back in the day. She really acted like a diva and make everyone around her feel uncomfortable. I think what she's experiencing right now is normal for how he has been before. Also normal to feel the drastic change because she was at the peak of her career during her youth but due to passing time, of course, it's inevitable that some things may change and that includes her way of singing as well as the tastes of the general public. It's a matter of how one can accept these changes that make them move on with their present lives now. 

But I think it's just who Ran Joo really is as a person. I see her as a character that has no breaks with her tongue. She's very frank, she'll say whatever comes to mind despite displeasing other people. She's a human who feels different emotions and expressing it in straightforward manner causes other people around her despise her. Yes, it's no longer her problem, it's the people around her... but if only she became more considerate of other people who also has feelings and ego... perhaps she won't have a lot of haters that wanted to drag her down all the time. She's in the entertainment industry after all. Hmmm... It's sad that there are people who are so happy and even celebrating of one's destruction. Sigh. 

Anyways, after watching episodes 5 & 6, it seems like her vocal nodule surgery went successful. Ran Joo can still sing beautifully but she's afraid that it may hurt again or the sound she'll produce would be garbage. But according to the doctor, everything is okay, her problem were only psychological. Waaah! I hope she'll gain more confidence in singing again using her own voice. I think she still has it. She can still be in par with Mo Rae the little diva despite her age. Ran Joo has the experience and vocal techniques after all. It isn't all about the high notes in singing, after all. Am I right?! Of course I am! lol 

Okay, done with Ran Joo. Now let's discuss about Bo Geol being Ki Ho. Yep, that's right! Bo Geol is really the great childhood friend of Mok Ha Jung Ki Ho! Waaaah! I already had a feeling about it, really. Bo Geol gives off a vibe like Jung Ki Ho than Woo Hak. I can already sense it's him whenever he acts aloof with Mok Ha. Anyways, I'm so happy about it but sad that he cannot reveal himself to Mok Ha because he's afraid of being discovered by his father again. But I wonder, what is the secret as to why the father can't find them when they are all grown up already? Maybe their parents aren't divorced officially yet? Is that it? Or there's more to it? Why did Bo Geol said that if their father knew where they were, their family in the present time would be destroyed?! Hmmmm.... I can't wait to find out!

Is Chae Jong Hyeop Jung Ki Ho Or Is It Cha Hak Yeon? | Castaway Diva Episodes 3 & 4

My goodness this drama is getting more and more interesting! It's like finding and guessing who is Jung Ki Ho all through out! Seriously though, who is Jung Ki Ho between Woo Hak amd Bo Geol??? 

There are 2 possibilties here, just my guesses though. 

1. Woo Hak is Jung Ki Ho, and yes, he doesn't remember his identity because of memory loss. Bo Geol might be the one who witnessed the cause of his accident (probably caused by his father), reason why he doesn't want Woo Hak to remember thus traumatic experience. 

2. Bo Geol might be Jung Ki Ho too, Woo Hak might be protecting him from his father in the past reason why he lost his memories. He probably doesn't want to get involved with Mok Ha because he might have felt guilty for what happened to her for 15 years and it might also be because Mok Ha is already out in the public and his father is taking advantage of this to find him again. 

See? Those are my thoughts and so it's so hard for me to really point out who Jung Ki Ho is. But I must say, this is so exciting! Lol 

And Ran Joo, geez...she has to use her brain for once! Her manager Lee Seo Jun only manipulated and used her during the prime of her career to fund his dream of building a company. And when she lost her golden voice due to vocal nodule and age, he began mistreating her. Now that Ran Joo is making a noise again by using Mok Ha's voice, Seo Jun is prohibiting her albums to be sold in order not to achieve that 20 million copies sold to own the company that he has built with her money. Gosh. Waaah! I hate him, one day he will face his karma. 

Park Eun Bin Runs Away From Father And Got Stranded In An Island For 15 Years In Castaway Diva Episode 1 & 2

I pity young Seo Mok Ha (Lee Re) and Jung Ki Ho (Moon Woo Jin) for having such a terrible father who make them victims of violence. No wonder at such young age, they wanted to leave behind everything and start anew as a different person. I can't imagine how painful everyday is for these kids. Gosh, these stupid single dads. I understood why their wives left them. Their mistake though was they left their kids with this kind of monsters. Ugh. 

Anyways, Ki Ho helped Mok Ha to runaway from her father but it became a lead to her being stranded on a deserted island for 15 years. Originally, they were meant to run away together but Mok Ha's father changed their plan. Sigh. The desperation of Mok Ha made her do the unimaginable action which is to jump off from the ferry just to not get caught by her violent father and be back to his beatings again. That's actually like 'she'd rather die than to be with him again'. Dang! 

Okay so fast forward to 15 years, Mok Ha (Park Eun Bin) got rescued 'accidentally' from the island by volunteers. Among the volunteers were brothers named Kang Bo Geol (Chae Jong Hyeop) and Kang Woo Hak (Cha Hak Yeon). They both helped her get back to start anew as an adult again and come home to where she belongs. But she couldn't find information about the whereabout of her friend Jung Ki Ho, therefore she wanted to go to Seoul instead and find her idol Yoon Ran Joo (Kim Hyo Jin). Kang Woo Hak helped Mok Ha to meet her but warned her that her idol wasn't the same as her youth. Due to passing time, singers don't intend to sing so well anymore due to aging but I guess Ran Joo took it the hard way and became a star with attitude despite her long gone fame. She became hopeless but still greedy to sing despite her incapability, so during the festival that gave her a sideline... Mok Ha became her voice and gave her reminisce the prime of her career as a singer. 

What made me really curious about this drama is the whereabout of Ki Ho! Is he really Kang Woo Hak? If he is, why did he lost his memories? Waaaah!

Hello, My Twenties (Season 1) | Highly Recommended Kdrama

I watched yet another good drama via Netflix and I am confident enough to add this to my Highly Recommended Kdrama. It's called Hello, My Twenties and was actually released year 2017. I know I'm already late but if really is a good Kdrama then this should be timeless and can be watched anytime we wanted. I seriously loved this drama. I actually finished watching this while I was working in our office. lol My week last week wasn't that busy nor my works were in a rush so I was able to divide my attention into two. kk 

Anyways, I just love the dynamics between the 5 main characters. So much that I am so envious of them. Is it really possible to have such real good friends in real life or this only happens in dramas?! My life is so sad. haha! But seriously, Yoon Jin Myung (Han Ye Ri), Jung Ye Eun (Han Seung Yeon), Song Ji Won (Park Eun Bin), Kang Yi Na (Ryu Hwa Young), Yoo Eun Jae (Park Hye Soo) really made my heart melt. They established a deep connection each of them which was very heartwarming considering that they're all just roommates at the beginning. 

The drama started with Yoo Eun Jae coming to the ladies dorm. She was from the countryside so the fast life in the city and the rough behavior of people became a major shock to her. She bottled up all of her complaints about her housemates deep inside her because she couldn't voice it all out for fearing that her housemates would hate her and would cause a huge complications. Eun Jae felt like she has no home to turn back to so she had no choice but to continue on living with these strangers even if she doesn't want to. Eventually, all her negative thoughts caught up to her and snapped out to her housemates one day. And because of this sudden burst out of emotions, she discovered that her housemates were really good people too. It's just that they all are different kind of person in one household, meaning, it's given that they all have different attitude and behavior. Kang Yi Na explained to her that she needed to tell what's inside her mind because other people cannot read her thoughts at all. In the end, the key is always communication for a better understanding of one another.

This happening at the beginning of the drama really struck me so hard because I could fully relate to her character. I also experienced sharing a room (take note, only a room not a whole house) with several  people, it was an involuntary decision, I seriously had no choice because my new work at that time has this 'stay-in' policy due to Covid-19. My first day with these rude and strange people made me want to just go home quick. But since it's pandemic and desperate for money (lol), I suck it all up and live with it. It was a struggle for me really, because just like Eun Jae, I have this bad habit of thinking of what other people think of me. So it was really hard to voice out the things that I don't want about the attitude and behavior of my roommates. Thankfully, this period in my life is already done, hopefully Covid or another pandemic won't ever come again, because I don't think I'll be able to be back in that kind of set-up everyday. Yes, I managed to survive that more than a year experience with my roommates. Up until now I'm so proud of myself for being able to put up with those crazy shitty people. Nope, they are nowhere near Eun Jae's housemates... my roommates back then were just plain rude! Ugh. I still hate them till now, but guess what? One by one they are all resigning and here I am still on my spot working. Karma is a Btch! 

Anyways, Eun Jae's story really made me tuned in to the drama but I was totally hooked into it when I found out about the other characters. The story of the other characters really made me feel alive again. After some time, I was happy, sad, angry because of all of them. I love them so much and I am pretty sure that their story would melt your heart as well!

This is definitely a highly recommended drama for me. Better check it all out y'all, I promise you won't regret it!

SF9's Rowoon's Newest Project 'Affection' | Another Mr. Queen Concept?

Okay so the recent drama that I've watched of Rowoon was 'She Would Never Know', that was actually my first ever try in watching him act. Before She Would Never Know drama I've only known him because of his collaboration with Red Velvet's Wendy in dubbing for Trolls: World Tour (2020) and everywhere I see since then was him everywhere. I mean, he's a member of an idol group after all and we all know how female fans go wild for them.
