Gong Yoo and Seo Hyun Jin Signs A Contract Marriage in "The Trunk" Series

Viewers who are disliking this series just because they can't handle the love scenes are understandable but to generalize this as an awful project for that particular reason is unacceptable. Well, yes, probably this series ain't suitable for younger ages and tastes of the viewers but there are definitely those who are like me who enjoys this kind of stuff. I think the love scenes are there for a vital reason, it cannot be left just for the imagination of the viewers. It actually stresses out how twisted the minds of certain characters who use sex to cope up with difficult situations, like for example, the character of Seo Yeon (Jung Yun Ha). She always sorts to having sex with her partner but it does not resolve any of her main problems at all. There's one scene also where In Ji (Seo Hyun Jin) has this dream about her and Jeong Won (Gong Yoo) having sex too. But people, this ain't all about that! Like I said in my previous Facebook post, it is dark but has depth kind of series. Only those who are curious and patient to understand the characters and their stories would be able to enjoy this one. It fits for those mature audiences.

Anyway, I absolutely love this. I think it really was fantastic and the casting was stellar! It wasn't only Gong Yoo and Seo Hyun Jin who carried the whole show, it was actually every character in it. Actress Jung Yun Ha did a spectacular job in acting out her character Seo Yeon. To do those love scenes surely was a challenge as well as the complexity of her character. She's twisted and I disliked everything about this character throughout the show so I was really surprised to see her realizing her mistakes and overcoming her personal issues in the end. My anger got instantly faded and pity is what I felt for her as well as her NM contract marriage partner, Ji O (Jo Yi Gun), who got jailed for killing Eom Tae Seong (Kim Dong Won). This, too! I was surprised that it was him all along. Glad about it though, I mean, I wouldn't want In Ji or Jeong Won to do that dirty job.

As for In Ji and Jeong Won, I really love these two. The growth of their characters from first episode to the last was really beautiful. Before, they're overwhelmed by their personal issues that ruined themselves and their respective partners, but once they met and got to know each other, they started to resolve these issues and heal together slowly. When they both got closure from their exes and end things with Eom Tae Seong, they were still emotionally unavailable during that time to start a new genuine relationship with each other. Or at least that's more for In Ji's part. Jeong Won got matured enough to wait until In Ji was ready, something that he wasn't able to do while he's with his ex wife. During the time that they were separated, they grew as an individual person not depending on other people for their happiness. They were able to understand themselves more and heal those scars left by their traumatic experiences in the past. The hope of them reuniting is so huge that I'm not bothered at all that it ended with them chance meeting for the first time again. The universe has its way to make them meet after all, even when they weren't well acquainted before too.

I'd definitely recommend this drama!!! Watch it, it's really good!

Seo Hyun Jin Starts A New Life With Hwang In Yeop In Why Her? Finale Episode 16

Nothing is more satisfying than watching a drama with a happy ending. You just know that the time spent watching it was all worth it. lol I am so happy that Oh Soo Jae got her own happy ending with Gong Chan/Kim Dong Gu and is trying to live with full responsibility of her life. Whatever decisions that she'll choose now and in the future, it will no longer be because of revenge now that everything is over with the greatest villain of her life, Choi Tae Guk.

Speaking of Choi Tae Guk, dang.. that old man really is the definition of a prideful man. He hates to lose and face consequences for his evil doings. He didn't see it embarrassing nor wrong in the first place so his downfall became more pitiful. He'd rather take his own life than to 'lose' against Oh Soo Jae, his mortal enemy. Choi Tae Guk loves his family and wanted to only protect them whatever it takes as the father, I actually admire him for that but not the way how does it, however... this admiration came to an end after he ended his life and make his children/family face the results of his own mistakes. It's saddening, really.

Seo Hyun Jin Faces Another Setback In Her Life In Why Her? Episode 14

Oh 'em gee! This episode is so painful to me as a viewer, what more for Oh Soo Jae herself? Damn.. she discovered and proven that Jae Yi was her daughter, was able to spend time with her, but it all ended so quickly in an accident. Seo Hyun Jin's acting at the end was really superb that I can't help but cry with her. I'm stunned how good she really is as an actress. It's actually my first time to watch her 'fully' in a drama so, I'm so fascinated by both her beauty and acting.

Jae Yi really plays a huge role in this drama as Oh Soo Jae's daughter. Everyone in here is connected by her, despite the grave conflict between Oh Soo Jae and Choi Tae Guk.. they all cry for that little child. It's like all their defenses and strong front crumbled down because of Jae Yi's death.. suddenly.. they all remembered being human. This is such a sad sight to see, especially seeing Oh Soo Jae broken all over again... it's like she's back to square one again. Loving someone, be it a lover or a family member, the vulnerability of a strong person will always surface once they disappear.

Seo Hyun Jin Apologizes To Hwang In Yeop + Seo Hyun Jin Discovers Her Daughter Is Still Alive In Why Her? Episode 13

Hmmm... I honestly don't know what to feel about that kind of apology of Oh Soo Jae towards Gong Chan, I mean, wasn't it Gong Chan that still made an effort to connect with her? That scene at the rooftop, Oh Soo Jae was still trying to push him away and if she didn't change her mind about letting Gong Chan into her house then she wouldn't apologize to him at all. Upon seeing Gong Chan hurting and still welcomes her to his life, that's when she decided to take her guard down and apologize.

Maybe I was asking for too much from Oh Soo Jae. Knowing Oh Soo Jae's personality, of course she would push him away because she was guilty, embarrassed and lastly.. she hurt the man that she fell in love with. Not wanting to feel all these emotions that make her weak, she had to push him away because she has a lot of enemies to deal with in the first place. But still, I wished the apology was done in a way wherein Soo Jae made an effort to approach Gong Chan first and not the other way around.

Hwang In Yeop Flexes His Great Love Towards Seo Hyun Jin In Why Her? Episode 12

Oh my gosh! Finally, Oh Soo Jae heard Gong Chan's real stand about her biggest regret and reason why she's keeping a distance from him. I knew I could count on Gong Chan, he's just really devoted to her because she's the first ever person that believes in him when the world was against him. It was really touching and I could really feel Oh Soo Jae's affection resurfacing again towards Gong Chan.

Choi Yoon Sang really irritated me the whole episode. Previously he just wanted to protect his 'noona' Oh Soo Jae but now he has shown his true colors. He still has that Choi's evil blood running through his veins and so it's not surprising that he's obsessing to possess what he wanted which is Soo Jae. He underestimated Gong Chan's love towards Soo Jae and tried to inflict more damage to the relationship of the two but ended up failing after Gong Chan expressed his truest feelings. Damn... Gong Chan flexing his charms and Soo Jae's wavering now.

Anyways, the case of Kim Dong Gu's little sister is becoming clearer now. All along it was Chairman Choi's doings that made Kim Dong Gu's life miserable. As usual, acting as the cleaner of the mess of his own family, Chairman Han Seung Bum and Assemblyman Lee In Soong, he used power as the chief prosecutor before to hide the first and real issue of Seojung's director's daughter incident with Kim Dong Gu's case. The three powerful men right then in SoKor protected their sons from the crime they did to Seojung University Director's daughter. Since Na Jung, Kim Dong Gu's sister, saw everything that unfolded during that night, Choi's team  murdered her and lead the whole case pointing the suspect to Kim Dong Gu to make the whole case scandalous.. Sigh... poor Kim Dong Gu and Na Jung...

Seo Hyun Jin Called It Quits With Hwang In Yeop In "Why Her" Episode 11

Akkkk! I've already expected the angst coming watching the previous episode but I didn't expected it to be this painful. Ugh. My heart hurts for Gong Chan/ Kim Dong Gu. We can see how his past really traumatized him, keeping everything to himself. His wrath causing him to act immaturely and I'm so nervous how he will ruin his present life because of his past. Due to people that condemned him despite his innocence over his sister's case, it's understandable that he's acting on his own after the incident that happened in Yeongpyeong District. However, if he continues to do that, he won't be able to find help and comfort that he truly needed. I know that he won't be able to heal unless he gets that 'real' justice for his sister but he won't ever get that if he's still working on his own. He needs someone who could calm him down and think straight again before making a move. And I think his real friends at the restaurant and the legal clinic team would be able to do that to him if only he'll be able to open his eyes and seek help from them.

Seo Hyun Jin Discovers Hwang In Yeop's Biggest Secret In Why Her? Episode 10

Okay, I was just celebrating the previous episode and now my heart is heavy after this episode. Sigh! It ended so fast as everything went more complicated. I thought that their secrets would be revealed by Oh Soo Jae's enemies but I guess we have to thank Choi Yoon Sang for preventing that. There really are some secrets that will be revealed naturally without effort and that's how Oh Soo Jae found out about Gong Chan being Kim Dong Gu.

Seriously, if I were Oh Soo Jae, I would really freak out seeing that board at the roof deck too. I mean, seeing my own picture and those people around me, I would totally misunderstand everything tand think Gong Chan has an ulterior motive for reaching out to me. Worst, having a relationship with me. Daaamn... We need Oh Soo Jae to get Gong Chan explain first, please! Akk my heart is breaking already seeing the preview for the next episode.

Seo Hyun Jin Reciprocates Hwang In Yeop's Feelings In Why Her? Episode 9

Gosh, I was smiling and giggling almost the entire episode. This is what happens when the director and writer of this drama shows us the soft side of Oh Soo Jae more. And yup, she's only like that to the people she loves and cares about, let's thank Gong Chan for that too. Akk, seriously, I am so in love with this pair. I have nothing but admiration and jealousy over this couple. Admiration because they heal and complete each other and jealousy over that fact that I just said. Ahh I wish I have what they have too. lol

Even though the admission of Oh Soo Jae's feelings towards Gong Chan was expressed vaguely in words, I still find it really sweet. I mean, to have a strong person who always has her guard up to confess her feelings towards you really means the world. Even though they are very intelligent too, finding the right words to express their feelings could be really difficult. Thankfully, Gong Chan could read her like an open book and took the initiative in telling her that he understood what was said by that cute peck on her lips. Kyaaa and Oh Soo Jae's reaction was priceless! They sweet moments then escalated quickly as they shared a passionate kiss and opened their hearts about hiding a huge secret to one another.

Seo Hyun Jin Got Out Of Detention In Why Her? Episode 8

We're halfway through now the whole series and I'm so relieved that Oh Soo Jae (Seo Hyun Jin) finally got out of jail. I honestly thought that she might be detained until Gong Chan becomes a lawyer and actually saves her... gosh, that would take so long so I'm relieved that it won't happen now. lol yeah, my imagination is really that wide. kkk

Anyways, I'm so happy. The first person that Oh Soo Jae wanted to see was Gong Chan, and Gong Chan standing there when Oh Soo Jae got out of the taxi was really heart warming. We all saw how Oh Soo Jae battled the loneliness, fear and anger while she was detained yet despite feeling all these emotions she still composed her self and patiently waited. This is why I'm really so impressed with women who have high intelligence, they know how to stay elegant and not sabotage themselves despite facing an unfortunate event in their lives. So as I was saying, Soo Jae showing her vulnerable side to Gong Chan really means a lot. It means LOVE. haha

Seo Hyun Jin's Life Is In Danger Again + Her Child May Still Be Alive In Why Her? Episode 6

Episode 6 feels like I'm watching The Penthouse. lol Because every ending of this drama gives that suspense to us viewers like how The Penthouse did. Is it because they are the same broadcasting network, SBS? Maybe? Anyways, I think this is how the story would revolve. I'm assuming that's the reason why the literal title of Why Her is Why Oh Soo Jae? Yes, that's the question. Why do they have to target Oh Soo Jae all the time? Ok, maybe we all know why! But, heck, they are the ones who started this chaos and Oh Soo Jae was only retaliating. Sigh. I just really hope that this won't be a sad ending though. I just hope that the question Why Oh Soo Jae won't be coming from Gong Chan in the end.

The Tragic Past Of Seo Hyun Jin Has Been Revealed In Why Her? Episode 5

Holy shocks! I have read somewhere that Oh Soo Jae and Choi Ju Wan might have a past but it all came true in the drama! Wow I got goosebumps! But heck, I'm so hurt for Oh Soo Jae. No wonder she became a ruthless lawyer who wanted nothing but to attain the top. Chairman Choi is despicable! Gosh, he's heartless! How can he ask someone that he had ruined before to work for him? It's though as if nothing miserable happened to Oh Soo Jae? Shit, I hate him.

Now I fully understand why Oh Soo Jae was always putting a line between her and Gong Chan. She was embarrassed for Gong Chan to find out about her cruel past and her involvement with Ju Wan and Chairman Choi. Ugh. But I trust Gong Chan that his love towards Oh Soo Jae won't change even if he finds out. I think he'll get angrier and will get much better with laws in order to protect Oh Soo Jae more. Just seeing Gong Chan protecting Oh Soo Jae now that he hasn't know anything yet, what more will he become after knowing everything?

Seo Hyun Jin's Life Is In Danger And He Thought Of Hwang In Yeop To Save Her In Why Her? Episode 4

Hngg... this drama is, so far, the best one from the on-going series right now. That's for me, at least. I'm getting amused every time I see Oh Soo Jae's (Seo Hyun Jin) vulnerable side. It's rare to see a tough woman laying her heart out in the open, you know. But I guess she's only like that to the people she love. She's like that to her friend Chae Joon Hee (Cha Chung Hwa), her secretary Song Mi Rim (Lee Joo Woo) and now to Gong Chan (Hwang In Yeop).

Every time she has sweet and soft moments with Gong Chan, I can't help but squeal and giggle. Akkk... she's just so cute especially at that scene where she overheard Gong Chan's ramblings in the restaurant they both went separately. It's fate that's putting them together in one place. Gosh I love that scene so much. We get to see Oh Soo Jae getting shy and smiley over Gong Chan's feelings for her. kkk

Hwang In Yeop And Seo Hyun Jin Shared A Kiss In Why Her Episode 3

Whoah there! Who would expect Hwang In Yeop's going to get his kiss in the 3rd episode? haha! That was quick! Anyway, I'm thrilled with that progress. I mean, Oh Soo Jae (Seo Hyun Jin), despite acting tough and viciously frank with everyone, is still a vulnerable woman that is easily hurt. Which is why having Gong Chan (Hwang In Yeop) in her life could mend her aching heart.

Hwang In Youp Confesses His True Feelings Towards Seo Hyun Jin In Why Her - Quick Recap Episodes 1 & 2

Finally got the chance to watch Hwang In Youp's latest drama called Why Her and boy I am so into it already. I got hooked only after watching the first episode and instantly fell in love with it after the 2nd. Gosh it's so good! I now have something to watch and react to after My Liberation Notes.

First episode was effin' cool! I like it a lot when the female protagonist has a strong persona that could silence the annoying arrogance of men. lol Oh Soo Jae (Seo Hyun Jin) is a very intelligent and talented woman who's determined to reach the top in TK Law Firm, which happens to be the best one law firm in South Korea.
