Last January 21, news about The Penthouse: War In Life star Kim Young Dae appearing in the drama True Beauty came out. And indeed, he appeared in the 2nd to the last episode of True Beauty as someone who's waiting for his girlfriend at Namsan Tower.
Lim Jookyung (Moon Ga Young) was longing for his ex-boyfriend Lee Suho (Cha Eun Woo) and mistaken Kim Young Dae as him. Jookyung found Kim Young Dae's body built and way of clothing similar to Suho so she chased after him and eventually got embarrassed that it was all a mistake.
Kim Young Dae's character here wasn't just a mere passerby, because he was the representation that helped Suho's wish to come true. It was meant for Jookyung, the texts that were written at the wall of Prince Manga Rental Bookstore quoting as "When the first snow falls, I will go to Namsan Tower and pray for you to remember me." And Jookyung really did remember him all thanks to Kim Young Dae's character for that matter.
He also brought up about his girlfriend liking strawberry juice to which Jookyung instantly remembered when Suho always bought her this juice from the past. It was a well thought off scene, for me. Well done Kim Young Dae!
Kim Young Dae is the 6th character from the drama Extraordinary You that did a cameo in True Beauty after Lee Taeri, Lee Jae Wook, Kim Hye Yoon, Joong Gun Joo and Jung Ye Nok.
