Go Kyung Pyo Protected His Heart and Dream In Frankly Speaking Episode 3

This episode tells us exactly what it means to be protecting our hearts by expressing what we really mean and by standing up for our own self including our dreams. Nobody would be able to protect us but ourselves. This is really such a great reminder to all of us especially in our modern society today where we compromise ourselves and our feelings to give way to other people because there's hierarchy that dictates us what to do. This happens most especially in our workplace. It's true that in order to survive this chain, we must use white lies and sugarcoat our words to come out pleasing to the ears of those we wanted to have a good impression with but we should do it moderately. In a way that, we wouldn't lose our true selves in the long run. That has become the problem with Song Ki Baek here. He was so used to living in lies and sugarcoat everything that he lost his true self to get himself to his desired dream/goal. Now that he got a disease of telling only the truth, it

Hwang In Yeop Finally Confessed To Moon Ga Young In True Beauty Episode 15

For today's review I just want to talk about Han Seo Jun. We all know who the endgame of Jookyung here so since we're only one episode left, I want to do appreciation post for him.

It took Seojun so long to finally confess and it was in a weird kind of way. It's funny how he looked so innocent and childish when it comes to love but when it comes to someone else or in a gang fight, he's all fierce and cocky. Let's just say that he has met his equal in the character of Jookyung. Love has its own way with you, right? Too bad that they aren't meant to be in this drama.

When Seojun asked about three dates before knowing the response of Jookyung about his confession, it felt like he was begging for it because he already knew the answer even if Jookyung doesn't say anything. Especially now that Suho's back, he's becoming more afraid that Jookyung will be distanced away from him quickly. It's evident in the last scene of this episode, when Seojun used his wish from their bet and embraced Jookyung in front of the Prince Comics Rental Bookstore. When Suho came out from that bookstore, Seojun saw his bestfriend but instead of backing off and letting go of Jookyung, he embraced her tightly like he didn't want to surrender Jookyung to him. It may come off as a simple gesture of possessiveness but it was clearly a gesture of fear, fear of letting the love of his life go after so many years.

Seojun is a great guy in this drama, no doubt about that. I feel like I'm having my 2nd heartbreak with this 2nd lead syndrome trend nowadays. I've seen many kdrama and I can't think of anything else as of the moment that made me hang onto the 2nd lead this much as I've seen of Start-Up's Han Ji Pyeong and True Beauty's Han Seojun. I think I don't want to undergo such event ever again. But in this case in Seojun, I admit that I wanted him but my heart also goes for Suho. It's really hard, right?

For us viewers, it's really hard to choose but with Jookyung, I think it's much easier. She knew from the very start how he has loved only Suho, so when Seojun confessed to her, she just conform to whatever Seojun wanted to do because she felt bad to reject him right away. She's hesitant to reject Seojun and break his heart because Seojun was nothing but a great friend to him. Rejecting him would break her heart as his friend too. Let's face the truth, Jookyung's heart is already given to Suho from the very start so it's really hopeless to root for Seojun here. Ouch, my heart.
