Irene Of Red Velvet To Debut As A Movie Actress In A Film Called Double Patty

This is it Reveluvs! We'll get to see Irene act again and this time it will be on a wide screen! If you are a true Reveluv then you already know that this isn't Irene's first ever acting project. She already debuted as an actress in a Web drama called Women at a Game Company (2016), playing the lead female role of Ah Reum.

This year, 2021, Irene will make a movie debut in Double Patty which is directed by an award winning director, Baek Seung Hwan. Irene will play the role of an aspiring anchorwoman in the film. 

Yesterday, January 19, Seezn upoaded the official trailer for the film and in the video, Irene's voice was noticeable. She did not only act for this film but she also sang the OST! She's an ace!


Double Patty was set to hit the theaters this coming February. Are you excited? I am!

As far as I could remember, during a video chat with a fan when they were promoting for their sub-unit's 'Monster', a fan once asked if there will be a kissing scene in the movie and Irene said there was no such thing. Her reaction was priceless when the fan said that they'll do something with SM if there will be one. I couldn't find the video anymore on twitter, but if ever I do then I'll share it with credits from the owner as well.

I'm expecting that this movie debut would be safe for my heart. lol But seriously, I really am so happy to see her act once again and hopefully she'll gain more acting projects in the near future too. I think with a high face value like her, she really fit to act as well. With regards to her acting, she just needed more experience and she'll improve a lot when she have those projects as well. Everyone can improve but I'm really anticipating how she'll perform in Double Patty. I wonder if she will surprise me with her current acting skills.
