Go Kyung Pyo Protected His Heart and Dream In Frankly Speaking Episode 3

This episode tells us exactly what it means to be protecting our hearts by expressing what we really mean and by standing up for our own self including our dreams. Nobody would be able to protect us but ourselves. This is really such a great reminder to all of us especially in our modern society today where we compromise ourselves and our feelings to give way to other people because there's hierarchy that dictates us what to do. This happens most especially in our workplace. It's true that in order to survive this chain, we must use white lies and sugarcoat our words to come out pleasing to the ears of those we wanted to have a good impression with but we should do it moderately. In a way that, we wouldn't lose our true selves in the long run. That has become the problem with Song Ki Baek here. He was so used to living in lies and sugarcoat everything that he lost his true self to get himself to his desired dream/goal. Now that he got a disease of telling only the truth, it

Kim Hyun Soo | A Quick Guide To The Cast Of Kdrama The Penthouse: War In Life

Upon seeing Kim Hyun Soo's acting portfolio, I was pretty amazed that despite at such a young age, she already worked for several huge dramas. She has done main roles before but mostly were younger versions of the female lead actresses on the dramas she's been. What were those? Find out more by reading through this blog post.

Our Bae Ro Na who we all love and hate from the hit Kdrama, The Penthouse: War In Life, let's start getting to know the actress behind that character.

Personal Life & Career
  • Kim Hyun Soo was born in June 23, 2000 in Osan, Gyeonggi Province, South Korea
  • She debuted as an actress in a film called Silenced (2011) and immediately got her nomination for Best Supporting Actress for it at the 49th Grand Bell Awards. Despite not winning, considering that she got nominated for her debut performance was already an impressive achievement. It only meant that she was born to act right away.
  • She landed younger version of the female leads in different huge hit dramas like Deep Rooted Tree (2011), Bridal Mask (2012) and My Love From The Star (2017).
  • Kim Hyun Soo got her first main role in a television drama (not younger versions of the female leads) called Solomon's Perjury (2016) alongside one of the promising male leads today, Jang Dong Yoon. However, the said drama failed to engage lots of viewers and suffered an average of 1.19% in viewership rating.
  • Not only she starred in television dramas, but she was continuously casted in movies a well. You can see her on Horror Stories (2012), Murdered (2014), Familyhood (2016) and many more.
  • She participated in a music video of Seo Taiji (ex-husband of Lee Ji Ah) and IU for the song Sogyeokdong in 2014.
  • Meanwhile, her role in The Penthouse: War In Life (2020-2021) got her a Child Actor Award from the recent 2020 SBS Drama Awards.

Comments
  • Since she's only getting acknowledgement recently for her role in The Penthouse, Kim Hyun Soo has less search results even though she has so many great projects.
  • If you're going to search for her name, you'll be bombarded with the actor Kim Soo Hyun's news and photos everywhere or actress Kim So Hyun's too. Her name is similar with them so when searching more information about her on the internet it's quite difficult to get the result I wanted.
  • Hopefully she'll gain more main roles, be it in a television drama or wide screen, so her name would stand out more among the other big stars.
  • In all honesty, I am a bit irritated with her role in The Penthouse: War In Life.  I mean, Oh Yoon Hee was such a great mother to her and giving all the needs she wanted, yet at some point she rebelled. If only she knew what her mother had gone through just to bring her luxuries then she wouldn't be able to rebel at all.
  • But now that her mother got jailed, I kinda feel bad about her being all alone now. She's still young and naive so I really pity her situation. Also, despite her frustrations, we all know how she really loves her mother Oh Yoon Hee.
  • Fighting, Bae Ro Na! Everything will be okay in the end!
