Go Kyung Pyo Protected His Heart and Dream In Frankly Speaking Episode 3

This episode tells us exactly what it means to be protecting our hearts by expressing what we really mean and by standing up for our own self including our dreams. Nobody would be able to protect us but ourselves. This is really such a great reminder to all of us especially in our modern society today where we compromise ourselves and our feelings to give way to other people because there's hierarchy that dictates us what to do. This happens most especially in our workplace. It's true that in order to survive this chain, we must use white lies and sugarcoat our words to come out pleasing to the ears of those we wanted to have a good impression with but we should do it moderately. In a way that, we wouldn't lose our true selves in the long run. That has become the problem with Song Ki Baek here. He was so used to living in lies and sugarcoat everything that he lost his true self to get himself to his desired dream/goal. Now that he got a disease of telling only the truth, it

Will Ji-Ah Lose Lee Yeon Forever? | Tale of the Nine Tailed Episode 15

I know that I've said that I won't cry if ever one of the two leads, Ji Ah or Lee Yeon, dies in the end but I was so wrong. I ate up what I've said because I actually cried over it. However, it's not because I regretted over their tragic love story but my tears were because of the people that loved them would be left without one of them. In the end, it was Lee Yeon who died and there are so many people who'll get affected by it not just Ji Ah. We have Lee Rang, Shin Joo, the snail bride, granny and his husband and a lot more. Their connection to Lee Yeon is so strong since they've been together in flesh for hundreds of years that makes me feel so affected that they had to separate all in the end. Also, the fact that they all are willing to help and sacrifice themselves for Lee Yeon pierced my heart immensely more than what Ji Ah's words about 'protecting' or 'sacrificing herself for Lee Yeon' weighs.

First, Grandma in Samdo River, she was all firm with her beliefs and the work ethics from the very start that she even sacrificed her son and her husband. But despite her powers, she still bears a human heart and has remorse over her cruel decisions so in the end she's willing to sacrifice everything and face consequences by helping out Lee Yeon. She wanted the two to survive, since she has treated Lee Yeon like one of her son, she doesn't want to make yet another wrong decision. And yet, the Imoogi was too smart and used the mirror against her, so she turned herself into a stone. Of course, who wouldn't get swayed when the enemy all along was bearing her son's face and learning that it was the Imoogi's fault why her son had to face a sad fate.

Second was Shin Joo, when he learned about Lee Yeon's plans, he wanted to take his place in swallowing the scale of the Imoogi but since he's too weak he cannot make the plan work. However, despite the failed attempt, we all know how much Shin Joo's really willing to do everything for Lee Yeon even if his life's on the line. That claim is already proven since the early episodes of the story and the fact that he stays with him after all these years were massive contribution as to why he and Lee Yeon has solid friendship.

Lastly, Lee Rang. Lee Yeon has put him through so much and even has to make him the one to stab him in the end when he knows Rang's going to regret it for the rest of his remaining life. Lee Rang loved his half brother despite the anonymity they've gone through in their early angsty relationship. There's no question to that.

Special mention to Granny's husband and the snail bride for helping out too, their solid relationship with Lee Yeon is still perceivable throughout the series.

Love really is a scary phenomenon as it carries not just joy and pleasure but pain and sacrifices. I've seen and felt it more on the side characters more than the two leads' love story. Their love for each other is too selfish, they wanted to hang on each other despite knowing that there are lives that will be lost. However, I'll be truthful, I'd probably feel a tiny bit of sadness driven only by pity over the one who's left alone in the world without the other. In this case, Ji- Ah. I would feel pity for her because after all the selfish acts they've both gone through, going against all odds, they still weren't able to stay together in the end. I'm sorry for saying this but that's just what I really feel towards them.
