Basically this process of verifying an address is a mandatory process for each Google AdSense account holder to comply with in order to proceed with checkout of payment once reached the threshold.
Just so you know, you actually needed to enter the PIN only within a span of 4 months or else Google AdSense will stop showing ads on your website. This is actually scary for me since it's a first time of mine to acquire monetization via Google AdSense. Firsts are always scary and we can't help but get anxious over trying it out or facing it, and it's normal. It doesn't apply only to acquiring Google AdSense but an experience applicable generally in life.
Being worried over things without trying them would leave you in a state of prolonged anxiousness and it's the worst feeling ever so we should get ourselves out there and just experience everything that we wanted. Don't worry, there are always solutions to our problems so whatever may happen, be it perfect or worst, in encountering that 'first' it'll all be fine in the end. That's just how it is for me, believe me, I've been so anxious about 'what if my Google AdSense PIN didn't come?' question every night but just I kept going and continue blogging so I could earn some payment if ever my Google AdSense PIN will arrive. There really is a need to trick our minds in thinking positive at times like this, even though it's really so hard.
What's worst with Google AdSense address verification though is that you have to wait for a long time! There are no other choice but to wait and it's an awful feeling if you do not know how AdSense work in the first place because no one's going to assure you unless you meet someone who experienced it first before you. That's why like I've said, instead of leaving myself in a state of anxiousness for a long time, I've chose to just keep going with blogging and just risk everything.
And that's why I'm writing this blog post in order to help out people like you or like me when I was just beginning with this Google AdSense thing. It's always better to get an assurance to stop this anxiousness, so here let me tell you the necessary information that you need to know and the steps that you need to do when you don't receive your Google AdSense PIN.
STEP 1: Know the basic information on how Google AdSense verification works
Look no further anymore, as I will elaborate things for you in this blog post. Basically, everything that you need to know is already being fed by Google AdSense in their website but I'll explain each for you based on my experience.
First, once they notified you that your PIN was already mailed to the address that you have encoded in your Payment's Profile, then you have to wait at least 2 weeks and maximum of 4 weeks for it to get delivered. Depending on your location's postal services if it will get delivered to your house or not. But just to make sure, go visit your post office and check if some mail was sent to you too. I did visit and checked multiple times too in our post office but sadly, they got none for me.
Here's an email I got from AdSense regarding entering your PIN for address verification the first time:
Here's what a legit Payment's Profile looked like:
If you are wondering why AdSense mailed you the PIN, it's because you have have meet their 10 US dollars (10$) requirement. It's an automatic process, unless you don't want to get monetized then ignore it but that's an impossible claim, right?
(The payment checkout threshold depends on your location, but mostly it's equivalent to 10 USD)
STEP 2: Use the privilege of maximum four (4) tries in requesting a PIN
If you haven't got any mail from Google AdSense from the time they informed you that they mailed you the PIN up to 4 weeks, then you can now request to resend another copy of your PIN. Yes, they will send you only a copy of your PIN, because each Google AdSense account holder only has one PIN. This is why it's safe for you to request again and again (max 4 times) because even if your PIN arrived already while you just sent a 2nd request or so it won't be a problem since the content of each PIN will all be the same.
You have to remember though that the time google AdSense mailed you the PIN, that is already considered the first request even though they just automatically send the PIN to you. So you can request 3 more with 4 weeks intervals from each date that you've requested a pin.

Here's what AdSense' email response to me when I've requested a PIN back in October.
STEP 3: Manually verify your address
If you've used your max request privilege and your PIN hasn't arrived yet, then it's about time you do something about it. You don't want your ads to get removed on your website or YouTube videos, right? That's why it's about time to do the final step in finally getting your address verified and that is to manually do it.
Google adsense will notify you as well with the remaining time you have until your deadline of 4 months in verifying your address. It says:
"You have less than one month to verify your PIN, otherwise your ad units will stop displaying ads."
Once you've done the manual verification then, you will receive an email approval from Google AdSense and it looked like this:
