10 favorite K-dramas I watched in 2025

Here are my 10 favorite K-dramas I watched in 2025.
Please note that this list is purely based on my personal taste, and it’s in no particular order.

1. Buried Hearts
This drama made me fall in love with Park Hyung Sik. The story is incredibly intriguing, and the ending is haunting. Up until now, I can still feel the heaviness it left behind. It was a great show overall.

2. Study Group
I rarely enjoy high school dramas these days, but this one kept me hooked until the very end. I genuinely loved it.

3. Dear X
This drama offers something different—a female lead who manipulates every man in her life just to survive. It raised a lot of eyebrows among viewers, but it was one wild ride. Definitely worth watching until the end to see how Baek Ah Jin and her two “minions” end up.

4. The Price of Confession
What do you expect from a drama starring Jeon Do Yeon, Kim Go Eun, and Park Hae Soo together? A masterpiece. Highly recommended. There wasn’t a single boring episode.

5. Beyond the Bar
A very detailed and well-executed legal drama. Even though the male and female leads remain friends and coworkers (no romance involved), their chemistry was absolutely on fire.

6. Ms. Incognito
Not a mainstream hit, but one of the best dramas of the year in my opinion. It features a female bodyguard as the lead, which already sets it apart. The plot twist—being used for revenge while having to marry an old man first—was surprisingly interesting. Plus, Lee Don and Chingu Hye Ji’s characters made the series even more entertaining.

7. Our Unwritten Seoul
A slice-of-life drama filled with meaningful lessons. I really loved the characters and their journeys.

8. Hyper Knife
A medical drama with a genius psychopath as the lead? That’s an instant must-watch for me.

9. Resident Playbook
A spin-off of the Hospital Playlist series. If you loved the original two seasons, you’ll definitely enjoy this one. While Hospital Playlist focuses on professors and their friendships, careers, and personal lives, Resident Playbook shifts the spotlight to rookie doctors.

10. When Life Gives You Tangerines
This is clearly a crowd favorite, and I agree that it’s excellent. However, I think I can only watch it once. It’s just too emotionally heavy for me to rewatch anytime soon—a one-time watch, but a memorable one.
