Go Kyung Pyo Protected His Heart and Dream In Frankly Speaking Episode 3

This episode tells us exactly what it means to be protecting our hearts by expressing what we really mean and by standing up for our own self including our dreams. Nobody would be able to protect us but ourselves. This is really such a great reminder to all of us especially in our modern society today where we compromise ourselves and our feelings to give way to other people because there's hierarchy that dictates us what to do. This happens most especially in our workplace. It's true that in order to survive this chain, we must use white lies and sugarcoat our words to come out pleasing to the ears of those we wanted to have a good impression with but we should do it moderately. In a way that, we wouldn't lose our true selves in the long run. That has become the problem with Song Ki Baek here. He was so used to living in lies and sugarcoat everything that he lost his true self to get himself to his desired dream/goal. Now that he got a disease of telling only the truth, it

Why Is My Liberation Notes Getting So Much Attention?

My Liberation Notes is the drama that took the time slot of Forecasting Love and Weather starring Song Kang and Park Min Young. My Liberation Notes started with only 2.94% of nationwide viewership rating. It is 1.57% behind Forecasting Love and Weather's premiere episode nationwide viewership rating of 4.51%. Unlike Forecasting Love and Weather that showcases a typical rom-com Kdrama, My Liberation Notes has a different theme. The slice-of-life story has a slow-burn pacing and has an unusual set-up when it comes to the romance between the male and female lead. It's a mature and serious drama that most viewers avoided at all cost. However, despite this, My Liberation Notes is continuously creating some noise inside the Kdrama world. In fact, it's reigning for already 3 consecutive weeks on Good Data Corporation's list of Most Buzzworthy Drama. Son Seok Ku and Kim Ji Won also took the 1st and 2nd spot of The Most Buzzworthy Drama Actors. And from 2.94% of nationwide viewership ratings, My Liberation Notes has now achieved 6.07% with it's 14th episode.

So the question is... why is My Liberation Notes Getting So Much Attention despite the negative impression of 'boring' due to its slow pacing story and most characters aren't even talking?

Let me give you 3 reasons:

  • My Liberation Notes is relatable.
  • My Liberation Notes has a cute love line.
  • My Liberation Notes is inspirational.
Now, here's a short elaboration to those 3 reasons:

My Liberation Notes is relatable because it is a slice-of-life kind of story. It tackles about the different struggles of introverts, working class, people who are looking for love, people who are living in the province, and most especially, family. It showcases diverse concerns and issues that most of us are living in. The transition of each characters to solve each is really something worth watching even though some of them rarely talks.

Some concerns here would really hit close to home and it will give you realizations that would certainly move you to tears.

My Liberation Notes has a cute love line and it certainly attracted so many people. I own a group for My Liberation Notes with over  26k members and a 10k kdrama page, as I see through each reactors on my posts, most of them are really inclined to the unusual love story of Mr. Gu (Son Seok Ku) and Yeom Mi Jeong (Kim Ji Won). This two is already widely known as the 'worship couple'. The worshipping craze became real as Mi Jeong's liberation tactic of finding anyone to love and ask that anyone to worship her worked with Mr. Gu.

This is definitely unusual but it certainly is very cute, especially their little 'worship' gestures towards each other. It'll all leave you giggling over them if not squealing.

My Liberation Notes is inspirational. Finding something that would inspire you thoroughly rarely happens as it involves your deepest thoughts and feelings. But since this drama is very relatable, it would lead your heart and thoughts to open up about certain things and end up inspired even if it's only for getting through a day. Some scenes would give you goosebumps here and even cry a river over it. But after that, it would warm your heart and get inspired to live another day with a new hope.

All characters will eventually teach you a lot of lessons, therefore, I recommend this drama to all. It will never be a waste of time.
