Go Kyung Pyo Protected His Heart and Dream In Frankly Speaking Episode 3

This episode tells us exactly what it means to be protecting our hearts by expressing what we really mean and by standing up for our own self including our dreams. Nobody would be able to protect us but ourselves. This is really such a great reminder to all of us especially in our modern society today where we compromise ourselves and our feelings to give way to other people because there's hierarchy that dictates us what to do. This happens most especially in our workplace. It's true that in order to survive this chain, we must use white lies and sugarcoat our words to come out pleasing to the ears of those we wanted to have a good impression with but we should do it moderately. In a way that, we wouldn't lose our true selves in the long run. That has become the problem with Song Ki Baek here. He was so used to living in lies and sugarcoat everything that he lost his true self to get himself to his desired dream/goal. Now that he got a disease of telling only the truth, it

There Is No Winner In Revenge | The Penthouse 3 Finale Episode

Gosh! I have so many feelings to express after I watched this finale of The Penthouse 3. Like what I have been telling in my previous blog entries for this whole saga of The Penthouse, there really is no winner in this war of revenge. My prediction was right, that all 3 queens will die in the end. Not only them but those powerful people who were greedy in general like The Penthouse king Joo Dan Tae and the envious and Penthouse king wannabe Ha Eun Cheol.

Shim Suryeon choosing to die in the end after being eaten by guilt and blaming herself for the death of people around her. I really am not sure what to feel about this because it felt like suicide itself. So it's like after choosing the path of revenge, she ended up everything by indirectly killing herself and escape reality. Somehow, she has this mindset that 'if' she dies the death that occured around her would be compensated through it already. But then again, we saw her breaking down and even when Logan comforted her, she's already devoured by guilt and far from salvation.

I can't blame her though. It all started with Min Seol Ah's death, her long lost daughter. Of course, Shim Su Ryeon's motherly love for her child rose up above all else which became the root of her vengeance. Shim Su Ryeon has always been that quiet, prim and proper from the start, she just ignore whatever that transpires in front of her, she was like that. She's basically the type of person that escapes the chaos. And it all just changed because it's her daughter that got victimized by the wicked people around her. It's saddening, that when she wanted to finally make a move and correct everything wrong around her, she wasn't able to handle all of it despite gaining already the upperhand in this war of vengeance. At the end, Shim Su Ryeon is still good hearted person that couldn't live on knowing she caused everyone their death.

Shim Su Ryeon choosing death made me question her motherly love though. She still has Seok Kyung as her full blooded daughter, and adopted son Seok Hoon, so is her motherly love solely concentrated to Min Seol Ah? Lol I'm kidding.

As for Logan Lee dying, I really found this funny. I mean, it just proved that his survival from the car explosion basically is the sole ingredient for Shim Su Ryeon to continue on avenging. I'd say that if Logan did not survive that, Shim Su Ryeon could have think of some other plans that won't let people die around her.

Anyways, I still do feel lonely when Logan became a wandering soul without a purpose or direction. He's basically lost without Shim Su Ryeon, a good for nothing without her. Lol Well at least he was able to fund Bae Ro Na's education and pursue a musical career. (I'm sure Oh Yoon Hee is proid of her.) Oh Yoon Hee made a comeback with a flashback when Ro Na reminisced about her befofe singing in her concert. Huhu Ro Na, best girl.

Some of you may have observed it, that I have grown dislikeness towards Logan ever since he came back from the dead (from car explosion). Ugh, if only the writer has better ending everything then this wouldn't have happened.

Now let's go back to the greatest villainess in this whole saga, Cheon Seo Jin. Shocks, the writer really prolonged her punishment. Lol I really thought she died in episode 12, but I guess the writer won't allow her to get pity from us viewers at all. Haha I was already feeling sorry for her there but in the end she still chose to fight, blame Shim Su Ryeon for all the misfortune that's happening to her life and lie till the very end with dementia to escape punishment. If it wasn't for Ha Eun Byeol's self blame for all the sins her mother commited, Cheon Seo Jin would still continue feigning her dementia. I'm so glad that Ha Eun Byeol finally decided for herself on what's right and wrong but despite her declaring her hatred for her mother, she still consider her as one of the best singer in her life. I feel like Ha Eun Byeol doesn't really hate her mother wholly, but only the sins she has committed.

Like what I've mentioned in my previous reaction regarding episode 12, when I thought Cheon Seo Jin died, she really has a great motherly love for her daughter. Even though she was feigning that she drank the medicine and looked for Ha Eun Byeol, it didn't void out this love for her daughter at all. Cheon Seo Jin revealed the truth instantly, unmasked her disguise when Ha Eun Byeol started blaming herself and even attempted suicide in court. That really took me by surprise. Gosh! Thank goodness, Eun Byeol survived and continued to change for the better.

Also, when Eun Byeol stated that she hoped not to see her anymore in this life, Seo Jin abided her wish. Despite already suffering from cancer, she just watched her from afar and never showed up in front of her. Up till the very end, she just wished for Ha Eun Byeol to become happy. Sigh. If only you changed earlier than this Seo Jin, then perhaps you'll be able to witness this without dying. Huhu.

This blog entry already became lengthy and yet I still have so many thoughts to write about. Haha. But yeah, I'll just leave everything up to her. Sigh. I'm not sure if I'm really ready to say goodbye to this drama yet. I've tuned in to this drama since last year, it's so good and I became really attached to the characters. I think it'll take a while again to find a drama with a star-studded and perfect casting like The Penthouse. Waah I am so sad it's oveerrr.. noooo!
