DOONA! Musings Recommended or Not?!

I finally finished watching Doona! with all 9 episodes, and guess what? I'd say the turn of events was unexpected but definitely realistic.

At first, the relationship between Won Jun and Jin Ju is what I got hooked up with. Ah, seriously, they are so cute and precious but as time goes by, they're becoming so frustrating! The girl got so caught up with her family problems which deprived herself from getting loved by the one she equally have feelings for. It felt like Won Jun was Jin Ju's 'the one that got away' kind of thing.

As for Doona and Won Jun, what can I say? I actually expected them to be in that messy relationship because I judged Doona of her attitude in the beginning but boy was I surprised how Doona changed and developed for the better in each episode quickly! It's just sad that they're both too young wherein they still have a lot to achieve in their lives it just happened that Doona is an idol where relationship could be a huge downfall for her career. Won Jun understood that, Doona was made for the stage and he has nothing he can do to stop her from choosing her dreams. But yeah, some things should be sacrificed in order to see Doona shine brightly with her career for a long time and it was their relationship all along.

Even though Doona didn't want to let go of their relationship, Won Jun had to because he knows where he stand. Actually, when Doona was bombarding Won Jun with questions in the subway, the scene where they were breaking up, it felt like all Doona's words about giving up on their relationship was something Doona also had in mind not just Won Jun. She's just scared to actually admit it herself so she voiced it out in accusing Won Jun about it. Sigh...

I honestly thought Won Jun would be like that puppy tailing around Doona all the time, at first yes he did that but I am so glad that he stood to his principles of not sticking with someone forever who's uncertain and treats him wrong. It is wrong of course, because it felt like you're in a relationship with someone that has no time for you at all. He's chatting her but no reply in the end, there's no communication at all. I wouldn't want to be in that kind of relationship either. Who would want that?!

It's good that they separate their ways in the end, they're still too young and they both aren't courageous enough to commit their selves with each other. They both have their dreams of their own and that's something important for them to grow individually. If Won Jun didn't broke up with Doona, with the difficult situation they're in and without constant communication too, I bet they would still break up along the way. They're just not meant to be at all.

Anyways, to answer the question of whether I'll recommend it or not, I'd say I recommend it. It's still a good watch but just be prepared to get frustrated along the way till the end. lol

Doona Kdrama, Is It Worth Watching?!

I just started watching Doona yesterday when I got free time and so far, it's good to me. But, I can't help but get scared for the guy. The happenings at the start gave me a glimpse of a sad journey for the guy. I mean, it felt so obvious how Doona intentionally wanted to play at the start. (at least only at the start?) It's like a bad girl toying with a good boy trope all over again. So later, the guy who said to the girl not to fall in love with him would be the first one to actually fall in love with her. It's like literally a challenge to the bad girl Doona to prove the opposite for him. And probably later, Doona would feel she's in love upon seeing the good guy exerting efforts for her despite continuously breaking his heart. Ugh, this feels so familiar even in real life. lol

I have no idea how the story would actually unfold but upon seeing Facebook spoilers, it seems like this drama would end in a not so good one for both. Honestly, I don't know if I still should continue knowing the sad ending would come. And a few people on my Facebook page says that this drama was boring for them... hmmm... what do you think? Is Doona worth watching or was it only overhyped because of good looking actors as leads? Let me know!!!

Suzy Outsmarted Kim Joon Han In Anna | Episodes 5 & 6 Quick Recap

Gosh. This mini series of Suzy surely is one of my favorite acting work that she had done. I get to see diverse emotions from Suzy and they all affected me, really. I'm really impressed by her in this drama Anna. The story itself wasn't a bore either, I didn't feel that in every moment of each episodes. There are only 6 episodes of this drama based on Asian Wiki so it already ended by now. Tbh, I can't get enough of it yet but I know that how it ended is the best way to conclude Anna.

Though it's crazy how Yumi is still out there and the possibilities that she'll scam people again is limitless. After all, Yumi will always do everything she sets her mind to and she's one of those people who lie even in the diary that no one else reads. These two phrases in the introduction of every episode says a lot about Yumi so I don't really trust her that she'll never scam anyone again. The fact that she didn't return to South Korea and did not receive punishment for lying about her identity, and now living as someone else to new strangers in another country, that alone speaks a lot how she's up to lying again. She's done with South Korea, so U.S. is her next. lol We don't know really.

Suzy's Lies Got Busted By The Real Anna | Anna Episodes 3 & 4 Quick Recap

Am I the only one who finds Choi Ji Hoon (Kim Joon Han) hot? I like his intense gaze, how he wear his fake smile all the time and just basically how he moves. I know he's kind of like a psychopath who's obsessed with social status and his ambitions so I should not really admire him but damn... looking at his physical appearance... I can't deny that I find him really sexy! lol Of course I would not want to get involve with the likes of him but maybe I really have a thing for bad boys so it can't be helped. I'll just watch from afar and never get in touch. lol

So yeah, the suspense in the episodes 3 and 4 intensified as Lee Yumi's (Bae Suzy) lies got exposed by those people involved closely with her from the past. Her ex boyfriend, Kang Jae Ho (Heo Hyeong Gyu) revealed to her bestfriend, Han Ji Won (Park Ye Young), about the reason behind their break up. Surprised and in disbelief, Ji Won investigated Yumi's past by visiting her hometown and interviewing those who encountered her. I can't help but feel the goosebumps all over my body as I revisit the memory of Yumi's actions done in the past which were pushed by her desperation and own obsessions.

Bae Suzy Lives On Lie After Lie In ANNA | Episodes 1 & 2 Quick Recap

I just finished watching the first episode of Bae Suzy's latest drama called Anna and daaaaannggg I'm totally into it already. As expected, Suzy's projects never disappoint. She knows how to identify a good project that will also bring out her greatness in acting. So basically, the story started with little Lee Yumi (Bae Suzy) getting acquainted and trained by a foreigner to be someone pretentious as her. That foreigner is crazy af that her husband found out later on. That's how Yumi got the ability to lie and not quiver while doing so.

Yumi grew up liking everything aesthetic or pleasing to the eye. She became very materialistic, attention seeker and delusional over her social status. In short, she inherited this trait from the crazy female foreigner. Her lies continued on and on and her parents went through struggles to sustain her wants and needs. At that time, I really pity her parents and hated Lee Yumi. Gosh, her parents were suffering illness and yet she refuses to go home and see them. She lived through her young life as an impostor and it was when her father died that made her finally live, shortly.
