Squid Game Season 2 Honest Review | Episodes 1-7

Squid Game season 2 finally got available for streaming on Netflix yesterday (December 26) and yours truly finished all 7 episodes in one seating as well. 1st episode really deserved the hype, Jun Ho was alive and Gong Yoo gave a spectacular performance as the suit man who we finally got to know as just another psychopath. I already had an impression in season 1 that whoever were involved in putting up this game were all psychopaths and I was right the whole time. We got the Front Man become a player of the game too and represent the number 001. He got 'friends' with Gi Hun throughout the series only to betray him in the end. It's crazy, really! Gi Hun was still too kind and trusting to even win a game against the Front Man. Speaking of Gi Hun, it was really stupid of him to think he could stop the game by invading and probably meeting the person behind all this. Tbh, I really find his mission to be very stupid and annoying. I get it, he means well and that he wants to save lives but really? Why mess with everyone's experience to become the winner of the game. They all went there in their own accord. The Front Man was trying to make him understand that but Gi Hun thinks differently. lol Oh well, that's how Gi Hun was made, if Gi Hun doesn't think differently, we won't get a 2nd and 3rd seasons at all. kkk

I got to love and hate a lot of characters in here. I love Gi Hun's team, obviously! The pair of marines, Jung Bae and Dae Ho. I love their tandem but it was a let down for me at how Dae Ho acted in the last episode. Seriously, if he doesn't know how to fight with a gun, he should've just stayed behind with the rest of the players in their quarters. Because of him, the rest of Gi Hun's team died waiting for his return with the magazines. Sigh. Jung Bae was admirable friend till the very end. Very courageous and stayed by Gi Hun's side till the very end. I'm just sad that Front Man killed him so easily like that and even in front of Gi Hun.

My most loved character is probably Hyun Ju. Yes, the transgender one. She served in the military before when he's still a man, that's where she got her leadership and combat skills. She's very reliable! And of course, if I have my most loved character, I also have my most hated character. TBH, I was gonna say it was the addict Thanos but as I recall throughout the series, it was actually the old man Im Jong Dae (no. 100). Seriously, I wanted to slap his face every time he's on screen. lol So annoying! I was waiting the whole time for him to die and get eliminated from the game but there was nothing for this season. Hopefully in the next season! kkk

I'm not gonna lie though, I was really annoyed by the villain Thanos here A LOT too! But what can we expect from an addict like him, anyway?

Overall, I like the season 2 but I was disappointed that it was left hanging like that. I thought we're at least gonna have some open ending not entirely a hanging one. It looked liked Gi Hun's mission to save everyone was pointless like this. Now, we have to wait a little longer before this impression gets replaced.  Sigh.

Kim Ji Won Remembers Kim Soo Hyun's Name Despite Park Sung Hoon was Present in Front of Her In Queen of Tears Episode 14

This is really crazy! I regret having sympathy over Yoon Eun Sung in the previous episodes of this series, he doesn't deserve to be understood anymore nor forgiven. He is a fruit of his evil mom so what did I expect?! He's also the same evil as her! I'm totally frustrated with him now! After all the efforts and heartbreaks pursuing Hae In to go through surgery, Baek Hyun Woo was suddenly out of the picture when Eun Sung came in. I honestly had a feeling that Eun Sung would put the blame on Hyun Woo when I saw the news flashing about the murder of Pyeon and it really happened. Hyun Woo getting wrongly accused and got arrested right after Hae In's surgery. lol What a timing! Tell me it's a kdrama without telling me it is. hahaha! It's supposed to be a sad scene but I can't help but giggle at the thought that it's way too unrealistic to happen. kkk

Anyways, when Hae In opened her eyes after the surgery, Eun Sung happily welcomes her but the only name Hae In could blurt out was Baek Hyun Woo's name. Omg, this is the power of love! She tried to hold on to the memory of Hyun Woo even if it's just his name she could remember! Waaaaaah! And this Eun Sung trying to hinder their love?! Fudge, go to hell you asxhole! I'm so mad at him right now. I can't wait to see his downfall together with his mom.

Hae In and Hyun Woo watching the first snow of the year separately was so sad. I really pity Hyun Woo's situation right now and Hae In getting suddenly lonely without any memories.. lol tell me it's a kdrama without telling me it is again kind of scene. hahahaha! Wait, I'm supposed to be sad here! But in all seriousness, I did cried a lot watching this episode. It's the reason why I remained awake from 1am till 4am.. horray! We got a zombie in the office once again!

So, last 2 episodes next week! I know there is an extra 2 special episodes but for sure the main plot is over after episode 16, so I'm considering next week to be the last week of Queen of Tears. Wow, we're already at the finish line and I realized that there's really no boring moments for this drama, for real! Deserves to be drama of the year! kkkk

Kim Ji Won Has to Pick Lesser Evil In Queen of Tears Episode 13

Hae In will lose all her memories if she gone through surgery but will die if didn't. To pick lesser evil was really difficult especially when we put ourselves in her situation. As much as we all want her to live, her reaction to the side effects were definitely negative. I mean, I'd go berserk also if I found out that I'll be able to live but without any memories. I feel like I'll suffocate from the idea that I'll live with strangers and knows no one around me. It'll be difficult to use the word 'trust' in this case either because she has no basis or memory whether she can rely on anyone at all. I could only give her an understanding what she's feeling right now but what can we do? It's either she picks herself (to not let go of her memories) or to pick the people around her who wants her to live. Waaaaah!

If ever Hae In really undergo surgery and be successful about it, I'm quite scared that Eun Sung would take advantage of Hae In's memory loss and would made up lies to get to her. That's the scariest part of all these especially when we all know how delusional he really is! It's really frustrating!

I hope that the whole family would be able to protect her this time. And I hope that Hae In would pick what's best for her and everyone else. Shocks!

Kim Ji Won, Kim Soo Hyun and The Others Were Shocked By The Chairman's Passing In Queen of Tears Episode 12

This drama is seriously testing our endurance with pain and sadness, how can they torment us so much like this?! Waaaah! The moment Hong grandpa moved his wheelchair in front of the stairs, I already felt his desire to end his life right there and then. He did use Hae In's pen to record his last words though and it makes me want to cry imagining Hae In and the other's reactions over it.

Beom Ja's reaction when she found out about her father's death and the way she lost it when she looked at her father's face in the ambulance broke my heart for real. It's like the pain of losing a family member comes back to me. It's so heartbreaking and that pain was conveyed believably by Beom Ja and the others. Fudge, watching Queen of Tears surely is like a torture to me! Waaaaaa!

Hae In's illness is slowly deteriorating her mental health and still had to go through depressing moments like losing her grandpa. Now tell me why we're watching this again?! The things I had to go through to see Hae In and Hyun Woo happy again is this bad, huh?! AAAAH! But nope, I won't leave them. The moment I've watched the first episode of this drama and found out about Hae In's illness, I've already committed myself to watch Hae In recover from her illness and have a happy ending with Hyun Woo...so yes, let's all cry hard and stay together till the last episode!

Anyways, Moh Seul Hee and Eun Sung seemed to be working together now after she blurted out how she protected him 'illegally' from those who have abused him. Seriously? Protecting her son by killing people?! What a devil she is! As much as I wanted to pity Eun Sung and be hopeful that one day he'll change, there's a limit to all of it. He kept lying and doing evil things just to get Hae In and now he's working side by side with Seul Hee... I'm sorry Eun Sung but my hope for you ends here.

On the brighter side, Soo Cheol got his family back. I'm happy for him on that matter, I just hope that Da Hye won't betray him again in the end.

Hyun Woo proposed to Hae In again, proposed to take back their divorce. lol But as usual, Hae In had to decline because she's thinking that Hyun Woo might only get hurt more if he stays by her side during her last days when her illness becomes uncontrollably worst. Sigh.... Even so, Hae In surely was happy with the thought that Hyun Woo still wanted to be by her side despite it all, but since she was caught trying on the ring she had to made up some excuse that she's only checking it out because it was a trendy design. kkk oh, Hae In....

Park Sung Hoon Took Advantage of Kim Ji Won's Current Mental State To Take Her Away From Kim Soo Hyun In Queen of Tears Episode 11

The Hong family's bond finally is intact and getting better but Hae In's health condition continue to worsen. Thinking of this, isn't is so scary how life can play all of us little beings in this universe with the timing of events that we're all experiencing? Some part of our lives gets better but some part gets worst, there's just no single direction. Will it make us greedy for wanting only good things to happen to our lives? Hong Hae In, can't she just experience both? A happy family that cares for each other and a good health? But then again, I still believe in this cause and effect principle that affects us. For instance, the cause is we might have been too focused on only one thing that made us ignore others and the effect is that our relationships, health and other factors that composes our life deteriorates. Just like what happened to the Hongs. They were too focused in prospering their wealth and power that they didn't given time to take a break from it and prosper their health, well being and relationships. And this doesn't only happen in Kdramas, people, it's a real thing in our reality too! We get the lesson now, writer-nim, therefore make sure to let Hae In survive her illness so we can all not take our lives for granted altogether! lol

As for Eun Sung, omygoodness! He's just really crazy and obsessed with Hae In! After all the rejections and problems caused by Hae In to him, he still doesn't know how to give up on her. I guess this is the effect of being an abandoned child by his mother and since Hae In gave him that attention and care once before, he was moved by it and begun to seek for more of it. He's been deprived of love and care, and so the good feeling that Hae In gave him through her act of kindness was something new to Eun Sung that it made him confused of what exactly that feeling was and that triggers him to want more of it. And that's how Eun Sung probably developed an obsession towards Hae In. If we're really going to look at Eun Sung's past, we'll be able to understand him and how lonely he had been but his evil ways to achieve love and care in the present just voided any sympathy towards him. I hope that he'll be able to learn his lessons real soon and stop acting like a child trying to get a toy away from Hyun Woo. It's funny how the last scene looked like that but it just proved strongly that childhood traumas really affect the way we live in the present. Eun Sung took advantage of Hae In's situation and run away with her as if he could get away with Hyun Woo. lol

Anyways, how many moths, days left for our Hae In? When they were in Germany, she said only 2 months left and with a lot of recent happenings, does that make it only a month or less for her to live? Gosh and we're almost near the end, episode 11 now... I'm scared of what might happen but I'm really holding on to Hae In surviving her illness. Pretty please!

Kim Soo Hyun Confesses His Love For Kim Ji Won In Queen of Tears Episode 10

Now that's what I'm talking about! Even though the confession was made indirectly (because there's still a door/barrier between them and there's no expectation that Hae In was still awake and actually listening to him when the confession was made), I'm just glad that it went well. The fact that Hae In finally knows the truth through Hyun Woo's mouth about his real feelings for her, that's already a huge step walking away from their push and pull relationship. Finally! My goodness!

And because of that confession, Hae In became more determined to break free from all the worries that are pulling her down and actually make an action to solve their problems all at once through that conference facilitated by Yoon Eun Sung. Hae In announced to the media that she was being threatened by Eun Sung that he'll put Baek Hyun Woo, HER HUSBAND, behind bars and that he won't be able to come back as Queens department store's CEO due to her illness/little time to live. Waaaah! That's effin' cool of her but also so sad that he let the whole SK or world that she's dying! It just meant that she's ready to face her family with them knowing now the truth, right?! Fudgeee!! I'm so excited to see their reactions especially Hae In's mom and Soo Cheol! Gosh!

It's thanks to Hyun Woo's "she loves me-loves me not" leaves, Hyun Woo's mom was able to discover about Hae In's illness much earlier than the world or her family. She was so excited to see who played with the leaves and since Hyun Woo stopped by the front door of Hae In, the leaves leads to her room. And that became the reason for Hyun Woo's mom to overheard the conversation of Hae In and her doctor. She was so sad and was crying so hard when she found out, what more for Hae In's parents especially the mom?! AAAAAHHHH I gotta make myself ready for this sad encounter.

Anyways, I've said in my previous blog post that I'm having a high expectations to the 2nd male lead of the show which is Eun Sung. But the way I see how things have turned in this latest episode, I feel like it's gonna be impossible since everything that Eung Sung have planned were ruined now PUBLICLY. Therefore, this just means that the real battle has begun and judging by Eun Sung's obsession towards Hae In, more forced interactions would be made in the future by him, for sure. I just hope that Hyun Woo would be able to protect her by then. Sigh... and when I thought I'd be able to see the new Han Tae Suk, I guess this ain't the time yet to replace Won Bin's character in my heart. Take Eun Sung down, NOW!

Park Sung Hoon Discovers Kim Ji Won's Secret & Whereabouts In Queen of Tears Episode 9

The Hong family takes refuge in the house of Hyun Woo in the countryside, this is definitely one of the best plot twist when talking about 2024 kdramas if not the entire history. I honestly didn't see this coming  even though there were posters illustrating both families' lifestyle or even if Eun Sung and Ms. Moh were planning to take over the Queens. I just thought that they may relocate somewhere else but haven't imagined that they'll end up in Hyun Woo's hometown. kkk

"You never know what the future holds" is the saying that Hyun Woo's mom got from her mother and that holds the exact definition of the whole situation they're in. I hope the Hong family would humbled down and actually create a strong bond with Hyun Woo's family. They need to recruit real people in their lives now that their rich friends have abandoned them during this hard time.

Moh Seul Hee and Yoon Eun Sung, they're mother and son and has planned out to take over the Queens but they differ with their end goals. Seul Hee wants to take over and manage the whole business of the Hongs and while Eun Sung also aims the same thing, Hong Hae In needs to be part of this new world they've created which didn't sit right with Moh Seul Hee at all. And because Eun Sung didn't want to be stopped by his so called mother, he snatched the Chairman from her. Hmm... looking at them, I just know that they'll meet their end due to their respective greed. I'd love to see them fight each other and actually self destruct.

You know what? Even though I'm angry at Eun Sung for being such an asxhole, his love for Hae In is becoming clear. I thought he was just trying to get into the Queens by aiming to get Hae In's heart but I guess that isn't the case. He does his own thing and whatever help he's giving to Hae In was merely because he really likes her. It's just that, when I think about it, Eun Sung holds such strong feelings for Hae In only because of that one incident where they have met in their childhood?! I guess because Eun Sung was very vulnerable at that time and Hae In showed him a little kindness, his feelings for her grew and escalated to an obsession throughout the years. That's what really is the power of kindness everyone, it really has that effect to some people like Eun Sung.

I honestly have a high expectation to this male villain. I really am seeing him to be the next 'Andrew/Han Tae Suk' from Autumn Tale drama wherein despite not having the heart of the girl he loves, he still did his best to support and love her till the end. When Eun Sung found out about Hae In's illness and how many months she has to live, I really felt the intensity of shock and desperation to save her. That's why I hope he'll become as memorable 2nd male lead as Won Bin's character in Autumn Tale. Save her juseyo! But hey, I'm not saying I'll root for him to get Hae In, okay? I'm still in Team Hyun Woo!

Who Killed Jeon Jae Joon? Was It Ha Do Yeong? | The Glory Season 2 Finale Episode

As was posting in my Facebook page "Korean Drama Updates", I just found out that some fan/viewers didn't know, or probably just in denial, that it was Ha Do Yeong that killed Jeon Jae Joon (Park Sung Hoon). Yes, it's Jeon Jae Jun the color blind freak, the real father of Ha Ye Seol, the bully ex-lover of the psychopath Park Yeon Jin (Lim Ji Yeon). We saw how Jae Jun was killed and there was someone behind it. Jae Jun was pushed by that someone to a cement mix that caused him to die. Some fans were saying that the scene did not show who it was, yes they didn't show the face during that scene. But if we're going to look at the sequence of the scenes following this, we would already figure out clearly who it was. Here are the clues that I will point out for some people who don't believe that it's Ha Do Yeong.

1. That 'someone' who pushed Jae Jun was in a man's suit and black shoes.

Who else like to constantly wear a formal attire in this series? Anyone?

2. Jae Jun opened his eyes and his scream of fear was mixed with anger when he saw who it was.

3. After Jae Jun was completely buried in the cement mix, the next scene shown was Ha Do Yeon with Ha Ye Seol at the airport.

4. Ha Do Yeong was wearing a suit and the same necktie design as the one who pushed Jae Jun at the construction site.

5. Who owns a construction company who can use cement mixer and lure someone in a construction site? Well? Maybe the president of a huge construction company?

6. Who will benefit the most if Jeon Jae Jun dies? Who gets the full custody of Ha Ye Seol? None other that Do Yeong, right?

If you guys have any other theory that opposes of what I said above, then please comment in this blog and let's further discuss. Or maybe you guys have other clues to add? Come on!

Song Hye Kyo Rises Up Against Her Bullies + Ending Up With Lee Do Hyun In The Glory Part 2

Haven't been into blogging lately even though I've watched the ends of kdramas like Crash Course In Romance and The Glory. I'm watching a different kind of genre lately and so into the thai actors/actresses so I'm not active in here or in my different groups and pages on facebook. Recently I just wanted to enjoy everything I'm watching and not really pressure myself on the recaps and reviews. I actually have 6 days a week of work so only a day of rest the entire week is all I have. When those 6 days ended up being fully loaded with work, I only wanted to take a full rest (sleeping and stare into nothing) for the whole Sunday. kkk just imagine how I lived by everyday... kkk So please pardon me if I haven't been active blogging, okay?

Anyways, have you guys watched the Glory part 2? Tbh, for me, it wasn't that extreme as it was in the part 1. Probably because Dong Eun (Song Hye Kyo) finally had the upper hand the entire time as she gained a reliable rich/powerful partner which is Joo Yeo Jeong (Lee Do Hyun) against her enemies. But everything is all good as I watched the pitiful but deserving ends of Park Yeon Jin (Lim Ji Yeon), Jeon Jae Jun (Park Sung Hoon), Lee Sa Ra (Kim Hieora) and Choi Hye Jeong (Cha Joo Young). These 4 bullies finally getting what they deserved which is hell. I still cannot fathom how Dong Eun managed to survive these kinds of evil in theis world and honestly if it weren't for Dong Eun we wouldn't know the limit of these 4 bullies. They would perhaps continue on with their lives living like they are all the owners of the world and that other people are nothing but their slaves. Sigh. Poor Dong Eun, and the victims of gruesome bullying in real life.

Song Hye Kyo Is Fierce And Unstoppable For Vengeance In The Glory Kdrama

I was a bit hesitant to watch this drama but after a few days of avoiding this gold on Netflix, I finally watched it! Dang! That was a mistake on my part that I wasted time before watching this. It's really good!! The past few days, I have this sickness towards new Kdramas that I've been watching. I easily get bored watching an episode and it becomes a drag to finish the next but The Glory was different experience for me. The moment that song played and showed the cinematic scene expressing solitude, I instantly fell in love with it. And a few more scenes later, I was totally in tuned with the characters. The emotions I got from them were immense pity, wrath and sadness! It's my first time watching Song Hye Kyo portray such a fierce woman and so I'm amazed by how she did her role. No wait, even the kid version of the grown ups were really intense and superb! Everyone was absolutely fantastic.

SBS Officially Cancelled Joseon Exorcist | No More Episodes Will Air From This Drama

Today, March 26, SBS officially confirmed the cancellation of Joseon Exorcist drama. They will no longer broadcast the remaining episodes even though the cast already filmed 80% of the show. SBS mentioned that they already paid most of the fees for the broadcasting rights to Joseon Exorcist before the termination of their contract. This is definitely a huge financial loss to both Joseon Exorcist production and its broadcasting network.
