Seo Hyun Jin Starts A New Life With Hwang In Yeop In Why Her? Finale Episode 16

Nothing is more satisfying than watching a drama with a happy ending. You just know that the time spent watching it was all worth it. lol I am so happy that Oh Soo Jae got her own happy ending with Gong Chan/Kim Dong Gu and is trying to live with full responsibility of her life. Whatever decisions that she'll choose now and in the future, it will no longer be because of revenge now that everything is over with the greatest villain of her life, Choi Tae Guk.

Speaking of Choi Tae Guk, dang.. that old man really is the definition of a prideful man. He hates to lose and face consequences for his evil doings. He didn't see it embarrassing nor wrong in the first place so his downfall became more pitiful. He'd rather take his own life than to 'lose' against Oh Soo Jae, his mortal enemy. Choi Tae Guk loves his family and wanted to only protect them whatever it takes as the father, I actually admire him for that but not the way how does it, however... this admiration came to an end after he ended his life and make his children/family face the results of his own mistakes. It's saddening, really.

Anyways, after watching the last two episodes... I kind of understood now the bearing of Gong Chan's character in the life of Oh Soo Jae. Yes, I did hope for the writer to make him an interesting character more than he was, but I guess now that the drama ended... Gong Chan is really just like that. I was expecting for his character development but I guess what we've watched was already the developed Gong Chan. Gong Chan's character really just serves as the pillar of Oh Soo Jae who's fighting against herself and the world. And he's the only one that could brought her back to her senses when she already wanted to end her life after losing Jae Yi.

Overall, I still did enjoy the whole run of this drama all because of Oh Soo Jae. If the writer wanted us to only focus on Oh Soo Jae's life as literal as the title, then he/she succeeded because Oh Soo Jae herself is already a strong character that uplifts the whole series. Seriously though, if there were much more exposure between the intellectual fight between Oh Soo Jae and Choi Tae Guk, I guess this drama would be even more buzzworthy.

It's sad that it's all done airing now, I surely am going to miss Oh Soo Jae and Gong Chan. Akkk.. I love that smile of hers in the ending. Also that umbrella scene, it showcases a huge development of Gong Chan and Oh Soo Jae's relationship considering how they interacted with each other from the past umbrella scenes. Now, they are together, shoulder to shoulder... heart to heart. Love it!
