SM Entertainment To Debut Their Newest Girl Group, Aespa

It was officially announced by SM Entertainment this morning that they will debut their newest girl group this November 2020, and they will be called aespa.

Aespa is, as quoted from SM Town's account;
Name combining ‘æ’ derived from ‘Avatar X Experience’ & ‘aspect’

Various innovative activities to come with the theme of 'Experiencing a new world via the encounter of the ‘avatar’, your other self’

I honestly don't know what to feel about it especially since we've been getting silent treatment from SM regarding Irene's situation, and then suddenly this news about a new girl group came out. It's true that there has been speculations going round for a long time now that SM will debut a new girl group this year but I did not expect it to be in this kind of scenario we're in. Of course, who would have foresee such happenings?! Nobody! The timing is not aespa's fault, definitely not! It's just that for me as a fan of Red Velvet, I find it hard to believe that we're going to have a new gg and our RV is all left in the dark. But what can we expect? It's a good strategy by SM though, to immediately replace the negativity into excitement. It's a tactic obviously but I still wished they've handled Irene's case better. Oh well...

I heard that Red Velvet's going to have a comeback this 4th quarter. We have November and December to check out for. Hopefully it's true! I just can't wait for Red Velvet to take away the loneliness in my heart, Reveluvs heart in general.

Anyways, despite having a heavy heart, I still am looking forward to aespa. I'm excited what kind of image and concepts they could offer to us that we haven't seen from RV. I have high expectations since RV has set the bar really high.
