Amid dating rumors involving former Park Ji-hoon and Jeong So-yeon, as well as Lee Sang-yi and Han Dong-hee, the director of TVING's original drama The Legend of Kitchen Soldier has personally denied the claims.
On June 18, a social media user shared screenshots of an alleged DM conversation claiming that director Cho Nam Hyung had indirectly confirmed that the two pairs were dating. In the messages, the supposed director responded that he could not discuss specifics but suggested that the chemistry between the actors was genuine and asked fans to support them warmly.
As the screenshots spread online and fueled the rumors, director Cho Nam-hyung addressed the issue through his own social media account, writing, "Please stop fabricating things. I never sent any DM!" He firmly denied the authenticity of the screenshots and stated that the conversation was completely false.
The Legend of Kitchen Soldier, which concluded in South Korea on June 16, starred Park Ji Hoon as Kang Seong Jae, a private who grows into a legendary military cook. Jeong So Yeon played Jeong Min Ah, a reporter and Seong Jae's longtime friend, with the two portraying a romantic storyline in the drama.
Lee Sang Yi made a special appearance as Captain Hwang Seok Ho, while Han Dong Hee played Lieutenant Jo Ye Rin.
