Happy Ending for RED SWAN | Recommended Kdrama | Episodes 9 - 10 Review

Another good Kdrama has ended, Red Swan surely left a good remark in my heart. I got really captivated with it even though the storyline ain't that new, revolving around rich family, their dirty secrets and fighting over inheritance/wealth. Yep, nothing new but still, I'm hooked with it for the reason that the story telling wasn't boring as the turn of events were unpredictable, the cast were absolutely amazing with their characters and of course, the undeniable strong chemistry between Rain and Kim Ha Neul. 10 episodes were enough and it ended so well, so I wouldn't really ask for more.

Now, let's get more into details. The real villain of the show is definitely, Han Sangil. It came out directly from his mouth that he plotted revenge against Chairwoman Park for the reason that he wasn't treated like a human being by her from the start. He developed this inferiority complex throughout his service for her, which is why he's furious everytime someone calls him a servant and other lowly titles. His pride got stepped on to which he desired for power and aims for the CEO position. He started his revenge by destroying the family of Chairwoman Park by sleeping with her and having a child with her. Obviously, this is where Yongkook's ruined mindset and life started, suspicions of the late chairman started too. Yongmin being born was like he got a poon to create a way for him towards his goal. And here I thought he was concerned with Yongmin when he cried about him killing the late chairman... but in the end, his perspective of being a father is entirely selfish and twisted. Sangil probably thought he was doing a great job as a father by covering up the mess/crimes of Yongmin when he's doing the opposite all this time. The shock on his face at his last scene when Yongmin attacked him, blaming him for his ruined life, was so funny. Ugh. He's so stupid if he thought he has made himself a father figure for him to trust.

One thing that made me really heartbroken here is Yongkook's death. I do get it that he's unforgivable with his cheating/affairs and far from redeeming himself as a man and Wan Soo's husband but we've seen the steps he's taking and slowly trying to get on the right path, so I really pity him and really cried for him when he died. I know, my tears are shallow but his death really moved me to tears. It's just painful to watch that he wasn't given another chance to fully redeem himself and start anew. I honestly am rooting for him to change and somehow rekindle his relationship/marriage with Wan Soo, but I guess Do Yoon was the one made for Wan Soo to be with her in her remaining life (lol). I do love Do Yoon for Wan Soo, okay? It's just that if given a chance, I'd really want Yongkook to have another chance with Wan Soo. They're still married after all.

Anyway, can I just say that the life of Wan Soo is crazy as F? I mean, she lost her whole family and even her husband but a huge amount of money came in to her NOW Foundation. It felt like god of death was buying her entire family with that large amount of money to help the society. That's sick!

Hopefully, good karma would come to Wan Soo for helping out the people in need. I hope she'll be happy with Do Yoon now that they've reunited after 1 year. Do Yoon is no longer her bodyguard and he's even willing to volunteer in her foundation to help and be by her side. Yep, Wan Soo definitely deserved Do Yoon and vice versa. Obviously they aren't a couple yet when they reunited though but their feelings are still mutual so the possibility of them being a couple is high. So yeah, it's definitely a happy ending. Especially when the right people getting punished are already imprisoned (Sangil and Yongmin). Chairwoman Park's credibility got lost, she will step down from the CEO position and will donate succession funds to NOW Foundation. Park is now left alone in her life, without Yongkook nor Sangil by her side, so that's already a punishment bestowed upon her.

I'm gonna miss Red Swan so much as my Wednesday go-to drama. I really do recommend this drama for all. No boring parts here at all.
