Love But Do It In Silence Written By Ji Chang Wook Comforts Shin Hae Sun's Trembling Heart In Welcome To Samdal-ri Episode 13

I really don't understand those people not into Welcome to Samdal-ri, this drama is really good yah know. Yes it's a slow burn kind of drama but that's part of how the story is unfolded beautifully. Every scene is well thought of and every events connects with each other perfectly. Despite the slow burn, the beautiful script as well as the picturesque scenes will keep you hooked to the drama. There's just no waste here at all! Ahhh I really love Welcome to Samdal-ri and I think it's on top of my favorite on-going kdrama list right now.

Anyways, as usual, this new episode made me cry once again. I thought this episode 13 was safe from heavy crying moments but when Ms. Ko had a breakdown at her residence with Sang Tae, her husband and 2 daughters watching her, my eyes automatically shed tears along with her. Gosh, when a strong and reliable woman breaks down it really meant she had enough. She had been keeping all these weaknesses and emotions inside her chest for a very long time now that when she breaks down it'll totally explode! That's what's really happening to Ms. Ko right now. And to witness this is something that's really heartbreaking!

Stupid Sang Tae! Does he really need to see Ms. Ko have a breakdown in order for him to understand that he's not the only one who's in pain?! He may be the husband of Bu Mi Ja, but Ko Mi Ja had been with her more than Sang Tae. Ko Mi Ja and Bu Mi Ja were best of friends, shared several moments together, to the point that they've promised to become mothers to each other's children if they don't become in-laws in the future. So how could Sang Tae not see how Ms. Ko is also suffering from losing her best friend?! It's because he's blinded by his own misjudgment that Ms. Ko and the rest of his family had forgotten about his wife. Just because people decided to move on from one loss doesn't mean that they have forgotten. That's what Sang Tae couldn't comprehend at all because he has decided not to move on at all! And that mother of Bu Mi Ja getting lost on her own and found by Ms. Ko, mistakenly thought Ms. Ko was her child at first then went insanely mean to her after, it was such a painful scene to watch! How dare they blame the accident to her?! Waaaah! Stupid people! Ugh!

As for Sam Dal and Yong Pil's relationship, I'm happy that they are both willing now to overcome the hindrance to their love. Yong Pil didn't break up with Sam Dal because of his father after all, it was all because of Sam Dal's mom. By learning that and also the support she got silently from Yong Pil during the start of her career to its peak, Sam Dal finally realized that Yong Pil would still choose her over her father in the end. That they could work on it together as long as they both have each other. Sigh... that was so complicated but I'm glad that they finally sort out things well right now. I'm looking forward now to the next episodes on how they'll be able to warm up that cold heart of Sang Tae.

  1. Cried a lot when Ko Mi Ja broke down. True, if there is someone most affected by the death of Yong Pil's mom, it would be her because she was the one who indirectly
caused her death. And she is paying fo that with pain that may probably be causing her heart ailment. But she is trying to beg for forgiveness for years. Too bad Yong Pil's father and grandparents refuse to forgive. To grant forgiveness does not equate to forgetting the tragedy. But giving themselves the freedom to move on and live again.
