Little Women is now over with only 12 episodes. The finale episode was aired last night and to be honest, after watching it, I still don't know what to feel. It's always like this whenever I finish a Kdrama that I like so much. Sigh. Sepanx (separation anxiety) is real and I'm struggling with it over a kdrama series. lol
Anyways, looking at the bright side, the ending was the finale that we all wanted. A happy ending for our 3 sisters as well as for Hyorin, Choi Do Il and Ha Jong Ho. A lot of cruel things happened in the life of the poor 3 sisters. They all got played at by the wealthy and powerful insane beings. Oh In Joo getting involved with the embezzlement of 70 billion won slush funds because of Hwayoung and Won Sang Ah, Oh In Kyung got in par with Park Jae Sang and lastly Oh In Hye befriended by Hyorin. After they all met this insane family their lives were automatically put into danger. But after the truth came to light and Won Sang Ah faced her doomsday, the lives of the 3 sisters all went back to normal only that they've learned their lessons and ironically, still got wealthy. lol Thanks to Choi Do Il, Hyorin and Oh In Hye for that part. Hyorin is practically and legally the owner of Sang Ah's money so, somehow, it's legal money right? But knowing that it was from the slush funds... hmmmmmm no ones gonna go after them, right? right? maybe season 2? lol
Let's talk about Oh In Kyung first. Hmmm.. Among the 3 siblings, she is my least favorite. Despite all the things that her big sisters were willing to sacrifice for her, she treated them coldly and abandoned them once she got to know Hyorin and her family. I thought that she wasn't aware of her sisters' sacrifices for her but she actually does. She just set her mind to fulfill her own dreams to help her sisters out in the end. She thought it was necessary to leave her sisters for a while in order to get that one step towards her dream. Because, let's all be honest, with a sister like In Joo who's slow witted and a dreamer who doesn't act on it and an alcoholic sister like In Kyung, they would really bring her down and that's the least thing she wanted. She loves them but she wanted to soar higher, to take their lives out of poverty and being misunderstood was part of the consequences she had to bear in order to do that. I really admire her for that. She's as courageous as her sisters, just in a different way.
As for Oh In Kyung's ending, she finally let go of her career and decided to settle down with Jong Ho. Oh In Kyung is the smartest person in their family so I saw her as someone that's tough to break when she does something she sets her mind into. She's that careerwoman who wanted to start and finish the work till she's satisfied with the outcome. It's obvious with how she handled that case with Park Jae Sang and Won Sang Ah. She's really ambitious so when she got that opportunity to build her career as a reporter once again with a different broadcasting company and turned it down, I didn't expected that at all. I know that she didn't want to become a reporter in the first place but since she have worked so hard and even put her life on the line for it, I thought she'll take the opportunity and start anew with it but she didn't. Also, Hong Jo felt like someone she didn't care for romantically at the start of this series so that was a surprising move from her. But I guess, she actually fell for him after realizing that Hong Jo would go to the ends of the world for her. That's really romantic, isn't it?
And lastly, Oh In Joo. Looking back at what she had gone through after the presence of that 70 billion won in her life, I'd say she's the most amazing person in the crew. Yes, truth hurts that she's stupid and all, but she's just too kind to be true and that's what makes her an amazing person inside and out. She still saved Hwayoung in the end after getting fooled by her and still stayed by her side at the hospital till Hwayoung gained strength. She was there also giving her advice in prison. Oh In Joo is just amazing and I can understand why a man like Choi Do Il wanted to protect someone like her. In Hye could see that as well. However, being too kind really has risky disadvantages and so Oh In Joo needs to work on that still.
Speaking of Choi Do Il though, we didn't got any confession from him if she really love Oh In Joo but action speaks louder than words, right? He had done so much to protect her and that's already an obvious manifestation of what he's feeling. He has that access on Oh In Joo's money from the very start and yet, he didn't betray her by stealing that money away from her. He protected her instead. Oh gosh I love Choi Do Il and I just wish that he'll stop laundering money in the future now that he got a share from that 70 billion won already.
I really don't want to talk much about Won Sang Ah but I guess I still need to in order to finish this long blog entry already. lol She's still cruel till the very end and yeah she had some dark past but Hwayoung was right that it isn't an excuse for her to kill people. Her evilness finally got an end, she planned it out to torture Hwayoung and In Joo only for her to get trapped to her own plans in the end. Serves her right. Now you're gone, Sang Ah. And that's a happy ending for everyone including us viewers.
