There are so many great lessons reminded to us again but the major point of this episode is that we shouldn't take time for granted in our lives. It is true that in our youth, we tend to overwork for our future so we forget lots of things and even the people around us, but then at the end of the day there's also our loved ones, most especially our parents, that's aging as time goes by. Their time is very limited already and so, if we care for them, we should make time for them no matter how busy we are. In this episode, the different cases of old patients showing up in the hospital gave us a view of how old aged people are already battling for their existence in this world for a little longer. It's a reminder for us to live fully everyday, value and manage our time not only thinking about ourselves but also the people around us.
Chae Song Hwa's case with her mother really hit hard to me, and for sure, to other workers or just generally youth as well. Chae Song Hwa had been excusing herself with work all the time to her mother, that even a phone call irritated her. She and Ik Joon even talked about it too in the previous episode so this unfortunate event of a disease diagnosis of her mother was surely to give her some reality check. And that reality check is what I've mentioned in the earlier part of this post. Guilt and regret are now eating Chae Song Hwa's mind after finding out about her mother's case from another neurosurgeon, a doctor that she also looked up to, and got a scolding from her too. It's heart breaking to see the happy Chae Song Hwa looking so down that everyone that makes her off-duty schedule packed and busy became all worried for her. Song Hwa is really a high profile doctor and loves to study, she takes pride of it by helping out other doctors too but it's sad that she got no time for her own mother. I'm a bit hurt on that one.
Thank goodness there's Ik Joon to make her feel well. It's Ik Joon who knows her best and he knows what would make her happy. If that ain't love, then I don't know what it is! Huhu. Song Hwa, give Ik Joon a chance and give your relationship some label other than best friends! Ik Joon deserves to be happy too. ðŸ˜
Anyways, on another topic, I am so happy that Ahn Jeong Won's mother doesn't have Alzheimer's disease. I was so worried too because she's all down in the last few episodes and been thinking about it immensely. Huhu Can I just point out also how I really envy what she and Ju Jong Su have? They're just friends but the way they care for each other just melts my heart all the time. I wish I will have the same fortunate fate of having someone to grow old with happily.
