Lee Je Hoon Is Not Your Ordinary Taxi Driver

Took time to check out the Korean drama that replaced The Penthouse 2 on its time slot and it's none other than the Taxi Driver! I checked out the ratings for this and they are all high and it's still increasing each new episodes per week. If this keep going it might actually be in par with The Penthouse 2's ratings which is a great gain for SBS. 

I actually saw a few of the cast promoting Taxi Driver at Cultwo radio show before its airing started. I happened to come across them because it's the same day wherein Wendy was promoting her solo mini album 'Like Water' on Cultwo show. I just shrugged them off, really and now they are making a buzz in the kdrama world which made me finally watch the first 2 episodes. 

Basically, this kdrama is about a taxi company which performs revenge to customers that wanted their service through what they call "revenge-call". Kim Do Ki (Lee Je Hoon) was recruited by the founder of Rainbow Taxi Company, Jang Sul Chul (Kim Eui Sung). Together and with other recruited agents, they avenge the unfortunate people. The reason why they built and continue their mission was because they were all once the 'unfortunate people' that they save now. Kim Do Ki's mother was killed by a serial killer and Jang Sul Chul has a past similar to being justice-deprived so they both want to be an instrument of revenge and not rely on the police which only serves insufficient justice to suspects and worst barely does anything at all. 

Action is really not my type of genre but if the story telling is great which would get me absorb in each episodes then I'm in! I just finished the first 2 episodes and so far so good! Since there are already 6 episodes out, I will make time to watch all of it before the new episode comes out this Friday. I just hope it would be satisfying and would continue to get my attention or else I'll drop it along the way like the other dramas I watched in the past. Wish me luck everyone!
