Regrets Over Shim Suryeon and Oh Yoon Hee's Friendship Overflowed In the Season 1 Finale of The Penthouse: War In Life

The season 1 of The Penthouse: War In Life closes with a scene reminiscing about the friendship of Shim Suryeon and Oh Yoon Hee, reason that the viewers ended up remorseful. In this last episode, Shim Suryeon once again showed the gentleness of her heart towards the person she considered a real friend, Oh Yoon Hee. Despite knowing that Yoon Hee was the one who killed her daughter, Suryeon still cares for her only friend. She has planned to make Yoon Hee take herself in and admit her crimes to the police and repent for her sins, but it was meant only to save her from the very start. As a mother of Min Seol Ah, even though she wanted to avenge everything she still believed in the goodness of Oh Yoon Hee's heart because Seol Ah once said in her diary that she was once saved by her before. And the fact that Suryeon sees how Yoon Hee really loved her own daughter added to her fondness over her. Being a loving mother to their daughters brought them together. It was understandable how Suryeon really liked Yoon Hee as her friend but it all went down the drain because the latter didn't understood her plans really well.

Not that I blame Suryeon for Yoon Hee's wicked actions but, if only she tells her the real plans she has then everything would have ended differently. But of course, since she is still avenging and grieving over Min Seol Ah's death, it's given that Suryeon wanted the perpetrator to feel regrets and pay for their actions. I guess in the end, it's all Yoon Hee's fault for not believing in her, she was scared for the life of her daughter once she take herself in. But her efforts were put to waste to protect her child because the ending she got for them was still the same, or even much worst.

I really hated the ending, the fact that Suryeon and Yoon Hee died miserably and the evil ones partying. I was having hope that Logan would see through Yoon Hee and become the next tandem in avenging Suryeon in the next season, but I guess I was expecting too much because in the end Logan's main purpose from the start was to find out Seol Ah's murderer. It just so happened that he got closer to Suryeon due to their plans of avenging Seol Ah's death. However, I feel like Logan would start his revenge over Suryeon's death in the next season because he failed to grant Seol Ah's wish which was happiness for her. Since his main problem was solved in finding out already the culprit behind her foster sister's death, it's about time he avenge and find out Suryeon's murdered which is Dan Tae.

Speaking of Dan Tae, ugh, I hate him so much! He's the root of all evil in this drama. lol Anyways, I am looking forward to the next season but I still feel regret that my favorite character Suryeon won't be part of it anymore. That is, if she's really dead. (I still can't accept it) Also, I still am remorseful over the fact that it could have been both Suryeon and Yoon Hee who's celebrating in the end for the success of their revenge but they all end up dead. I'm crying, don't touch me. 😭😭😭
